Had this oven a little over a year and not great, but did not complain as it was a Christmas gift. This past saturday. I placed 2 pieces of toast in the center and put temp on max (as per instructions for toast). Then set the timer to about 5 mins (half between 0 and ten). Went to the fridge, cracked open some eggs and placed in frying pan. Looked to my right and saw lots of smoke coming from toaster oven. Remember, I did not leave the kitchen and from the time I set the timer to the time I saw the smoke was less than 5 mins. Ran to the oven and the inside was on fire. Appeared to be coming from the heating element on the top as opposed to the toast itself as another reviewer mentioned. Unpluged it from outlet. Opened it up (big mistake) and flames shot out and nearly spread to the cabinets above. Closed and ran to get fire extinguisher. After about 10 seconds of panicking and thinking weather or not I could use my fire extinguisher on such an item, the flames died down. Very horrible experience. My kitchen could have burned down. I am now going to contact Oster and also post this experience on every consumer reporting site that I come across. If you care for your family please do not purchase this item and spread the word, as my research shows that there are many people who have purchesed this oven and had the same experience.

Oster sunbeam is a brand that should be put out of its misery. A few years ago we purchased a lawn furniture set that collapsed just months later. I complained, and as compensation they sent me a food processing unit. That didn't work even for the most basic functions. So both are in the local landfill. This weekend my sister gave us a gift of the 6 piece toaster oven, from Lowe's. She thought the design would fit in with our retro kitchen. We plugged it in and within seconds my husband raised a blister touching the side of the EXTERIOR.
You could have broiled chops on high, on that surface!
So,don't fall for the design, but consider the safety of your family and your household contents. Lowe's should know better too.

This Oster product is a big disappointment. Though the oven looks nice, it's quality leaves a lot to be desired. First, it gets very hot on the exterior and the handle on the front is too small and mounted close to the glass - I'm always burning my fingers. Secondly, the unit does not heat evenly. Items placed in the back are more well done then those in the front. But in any case, whatever is placed inside will get burnt! It loves to make bread into hockey pucks! The multiple knobs - a joke. I got burnt when I purchased this item - don't make the same mistake!

The set is 18/0 stainless steel, meaning there is no nickel and they will not last as long. The pieces are lighter than I expected and look chrome plated and it is rough around the base of the fork tines. There is no way this set was ever valued at $120 and it is not worth $60. Target sells similar products for about half the price. I purchased this as a gift for my mother-in-law and didn't realize the the poor quality until after I had given them to her.

Like the other reviewer, I ordered these and was disappointed to find they are not 18/10. Nice looking set, but not the quality I expected.

Although The flatware is nice looking... I bought these because they claimed it was 18/10 stainless steel, what I received was 18/0. Be aware.

My son who's been suffering from allergies and congestion for 3 years, simply does not suffer anymore. I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but he hasn't been getting sick as much nor having sinus problems. I'm considering biting the bullet and purchasing another for my daughter's bedroom because she now has sinus problems as well. The unit emits a very fresh air almost like the air from a rainforest. It's completely silent running on low. When it detects impurities, it kicks into high gear but sounds just like a fan running. It's very easy to use, so portable (light in weight) and unobtrusive because of it's width. This was a great investment and we look forward to purchasing another.

We recently purchased the Bio Fresh Air Purifier through Sparo products which we received within a few days. At the same time we purchased the LifeWise Ultra Air Purifier at Radio Shack. We decided to put the Bio Fresh down in a room in the basement where it was most needed not to mention the LifeWise Ultra Air Purifier was not recommended for the space. We put the LifeWise Ultra Air Purifier in our bedroom. It wasn't two weeks before we started hearing a very annoying ticking sound in the LifeWise Ultra Air Purifier so we took it back to Radio Shack and exchanged it for a new one. In the mean time the Bio Fresh was working like a charm and the mildew smell was almost gone. Unfortunately we had since decided to move so we weren't down in the room as much. It took about two and a half weeks before we started hearing a humming sound in the new LifeWise Ultra Air Purifier, it went from low to louder to low again (hard to sleep with that). So we took it back to Radio Shack and got our money back. We put the Bio Fresh in our bedroom and it is so quiet. I love the remote control that came with it and it's so sleek looking. The Bio Fresh is so quiet that, I have a constant ringing in my ears and I actually had to turn up the fan to hear it in order to help drown out the ringing. Oh yah the Bio Fresh reads the particles and odor in a room when you first turn it on (it's really cool), that when we put it in our room, the same day we took the other one back, the reading wasn't the best. But it didn't take long before the Bio Fresh took care of it. And the best part we have two dogs and they sleep in the bedroom with us in a kennel and before my husband used to snore so loud and now he doesn't snore as much or as loud as he use to. I surfed the net for hours trying to find the best air purifier for the money and the Bio Fresh is soooo worth the price. I am so happy with the Bio Fresh and the service that when we get settled into our new place we will be purchasing another Bio Fresh from Sparo products.

Very nice peeler except it's missing a feature that every other peeler I've ever seen has; a protuberance that can be used to remove the eyes from potatoes.

I have had my peeler almost 4 years. It feels great in your hand, has good blade protection for your fingers and has stayed very sharp. Its great on potatoes, cucumbers and apples. I was really impressed when I started using it to peel Butternut, Pumpkin and other hard squashes. So much faster and safer than a knife. It is truly the best peeler I have ever used. Buy it!

Strange...one has the kitchenAid Emblem & the other looks exactly as pictured. Both are Onyx black.

I do prefer the one pictured...I purchased at Target. The most comfortable pealer I've ever used! Plus, it's very easy to use & the blade is sharp whether you're pealing outward or toward yourself.

The one with the round KA emblem I purchased at Chef's catalog. It is nice, but much heavier & thicker...probably much better for larger hands. Otherwise, it is just as good as the one pictured.
