This was the single worst set I've ever used. If zero stars would be an option, that's what I would have chosen. The pot broke before we could even dunk a peice of bread into the cheese. While it was warming on the stand it came with, I heard a sickening crack, so I immediately (tried) to take it the pot off the stand. The ENTIRE bottom of the pot and split away from the side...and cheese oozed everywhere on my counter top.

Everything about this set is cheap. The pot (which was complete junk), down to the fondue forks it came with. They where metal with plastic. A complete waste of money.

For your wallet's sake, save your money on this piece of junk and save up for a high quality set.

This is such a nice unit. It has solid wood construction; no composite woods or cardboard is used. I appreciate the dark, rich mahagony stain as it matches my ancient bedroom furniture. <br /> <br /> It is strudy on it's base when loaded with entertainment media. Like other reveiewers mentioned, it came pre-assembled which made it easy to put up. Just fold down top, fold out sides and shelves fall downward into place--nice! <br /> <br /> I put 26 DVD's on one shelf, 12 VCR cases on another and 12 PC game boxes on another. I am unable to tell you how many CD's a shelf will hold as I have not tried this yet. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is the larger plastic Disney cases are too tall to fit on the shelves which are not adjustable. <br /> <br /> I did order two of these units last night and was surprised by a quick delivery of one of the units today! Thank you, Target. <br />

I purchased two of these to stack together and place on the other side of the metropolitan coffee table from the metropolitan bookcase. The CD racks are a perfect match, attractive, simple and well designed. Absolutely no assembly. My only complaints are specific to my arrangement - the CD racks are slightly taller, once stacked, than the bookcase. But only by an inch or so. Also, because the first shelf is placed closer to the ground than the next shelf, an off-sized gap is created when one shelf is stacked on the other. We intended to place two L brackets on the stacked shelves, but after 2 weeks have not gotten around to it. With a medium dog and an 8 year old boy running around, we thought we would need the braces to keep the stacked shelves stable - not so. They are quite stable, even haphazhardly stacked as they are. My son said "The more stuff you buy (from Target) the more our house looks like a mansion." The hodgepodge of Metropolitan pieces looks like a custom designed entertainment unit. Beautiful!

I bought this for DVD storage and i love it. No assembly required - the shelves just fold down. I also like the real wood as opposed to the laminate. The only thing i wish is that it were taller and had one more shelf.
