I HATE VACUUMING . . . that is until now, at a very ripe old age, where it has suddenly become effortless, effective, quiet, and it seems the ordeal that vacuuming has been is over, now that I have purchased my wonderful refurbished Harmony Canister Vacuum Model EL6985A!! I love everything about it, and haven't even tried it on the high setting! Yes, it picked everything up on the low setting - and that's no small feat - it's light, follows me around like a little puppy (but looks like a ladybug), I can reach under tables & furniture like nobody's business, the electric cord is long enough for me to vacuum my entire 2 bedroom apartment from one electrical outlet without having to re-plug!, it's quiet enough so that even my cat isn't freaked out (which is truly amazing), the unit is small and lightweight, and I am truly THRILLED. I went to a cannister after all these backbreaking years of an upright vacuum on the advice of a Miele rep on the phone, but spending the kind of money Miele wants for the same action I just got for less than half the price gives me a lot of satisfaction. I bought this refurbished dream machine with a 2 year warranty (!) from www.cpoelectrolux.com. Assembling took all of 2 minutes (!) and I vacuumed my little heart out for the next 30 minutes after my last ridiculous vacuum broke after very little use about 6 weeks ago, and now me and my home feel & look like brand new. BUY THIS VACUUM! A+++++++++!!

1. Packaging very good, all items included, well protected. Arrived in a timely way. Not abused in shipping as is too common.
2. Easy to put together, easy to operate, very nimble around furniture, good power, cord is long enough for 1.5 rooms, attachments work well and are secure to handle, HEPA works very well (tested on drywall dust), bags are surprisingly large for a small unit, aesthetically pleasing, easy to carry (good handle position), not heavy. Only drawback is that frayed edges have a habit of stopping air pressure powered brush head but this is a minor issue as this should be expected with non-electrical brush heads.
3. Very good warranty on refurbs. 2 years.
4. Perfect for a small home/condo/apartment. Not so good for a large home. If you have a huge home, get one of the larger models.
5. The price is excellent.
6. Wife loves the style (big points).
7. It is advertised as quiet - and it is!

My personal opinion: 9.5 out of 10 for its intended purpose, but it is not a shop vac nor will not like 5000 sq ft homes.
This is the best small cannister vac available for the price.

We're very happy with our refurbished Harmony vacuum. It seems well-made and performs as advertised. Very quiet for a vacuum cleaner: when used to clean hardwood floors most of the sound comes from the air rushing into the nozzle around the bristles.
As others have stated, I wouldn't recommend this vacuum to use primarily on carpet. It doesn't have a powered beater brush head. But for hard floors and above floor cleaning it's a champ!

I'm not saying there isn't a place for bagless cleaners, but I got tired of the mess. So I ordered this upright with bags and I love it! The bags are much easier to change now - a snap -, it's light, cleans great. Best of all- I can store it in my clothes closet because it is so clean (the dirt is IN the bag, not on the cleaner). The bags and hepa filter are cheap. When I figured it would cost me about $18 to get a new belt for my old vac - I thought I might as well buy a new one. So glad I did. A great bonus is the POWER PAW...what a maniac that attachment is - the brush roller is great for pet hair and stairs.
PS- After using this vac a while love it even better. It performs so well and doesn't scatter the dog hair so that you have to chase it like some vacs. It just sucks it right up. I knew Eureka was great because I have an old Bravo upstairs that's still going strong. I had a little problem with an attachment and they sent me another one (even better one) right away. Yesterday I was in Walmart and they had a similar one for twice the money.

After cleaning my front room with the 9300 model from Costco, I immediately returned it. About half way through cleaning I lifted up the cleaner on it's nose to look underneath and the underside was coated in big drops of dirty water. When pulling backward, most of those drips can be sucked up, but when pushing forward they will drip off the vaccuum, into your carpet, then you have more drips to get out. I certainly wasn't happy to see all the dirty drips that I had to work to get out, so now I'm back in the market for a home carpet cleaner.

I don't normally write reviews but I was compelled to say something about this one! We purchased the 9400 off of Ebay and I must say, it is absolutely amazing! I've used a few differant kinds of carpet shampooers (including a rug doctor and a few differant Hoover models) and this one just blows them all out of the water! It's bought new life to our carpets, it even got out old koolaide and grease stains out of our dining room. Our carpets look and feel brand new, and with two young kids and a dog, it's a great thing to have around. Honestly, even if you think your going to have to replace your carpets, try this out first, you might be surprized at what it can do! I'm not normally about dropping so much money on any one thing, but it's alot better than having to buy new carpeting in a few years! It's really easy to use, I LOVE the tank in tank thing b/c there's only one thing you have to take to the sink. The two rows of brushes leave your carpets freshly groomed, and can really bring all of the dog hair up and out of the floor. It does spit it out in hair balls, but it's supposed to do that so it doesn't clog up the machine. All of the tools work great except for the turbo brush, which is just kinda a joke. If you want to save some $$ though, try looking for the 9200 on Ebay and buy any extra tools you really need off of the bissell website. I was lucky enough to find the 9400 for $70, just check it out first, you never know!
As for some of the problems other people have had... on ours the brushes do stop moving when it is upright so we can use the tools, but because on some other ones the brushes don't stop, be sure to check that when you get it. Also, I recomend following the directions on the review from the engineer and drill a couple of holes in the back for the exaust. We noticed that it was getting pretty hot after use, so we decided to do this and it helped increase the suction and it doesn't get hot anymore. Maybe this is why some people's machines poop out after only a few years, I imagine the motor would eventually burn out from overheating. It really is stupid that they put the exaust on the bottom of the machine, air can't really escape because it's right against the carpet. Just be carefull not to drill into something you're not supposed to!!!!! We only needed to carve out a couple holes about an inch above the existing exaust vents. I know some people have had a problem with suction, for us it exstracts about 70-80% of the dirty water, which is what is expected according to the bissell website. Also, if you have any problems, check out their troubleshooting page, there's some good suggestions on there that could really help you out or at least narrow down the problem.
Everything said here, it's worth it's weight in gold!! Even if you have some of the problems that some others have had, they are repairable and it's worth the effort to fix because it works soooo great!!! Hope this helps!

As the other reviewers have also pointed out, this item works just like Vacu Vin says it works. It fits easily into any wine bottle, allows for a nice smooth pour, and keeps you from dripping. This is particularly nice with any red wine. As most wine enthusiasts know, red wine can stain practically anything. I recommend this product, as well as all Vacu Vin products I've tried, to anyone.

If you enjoy wine and/or serve it for guests, then the Vacu Vin crystal wine servers are an essential accessory. No need to belabor the point - they just do exactly what they advertise every time. The rubber seal keeps the server securely in place; we've never found a bottle that didn't accommodate one. Don't be misled by the product name - the servers are made of plastic, but that just means that they're easy to wash/care for and they've held up through a lot of use with no discoloration or other problems. As with many of the Vacu Vin offerings, these are a superb solution at a very reasonable price.

The Vacu Vin crystal wine servers are much better than using foils - no drops of wine on clothes or tablecloths!!!

Easy to assemlbe, easy to use, and extremely powerful vs. all of the other uprights that were relatively expensive. Attachments work well. Refurbished model seems to be brand new save for one scratch.

Simply put, it's the best vacuum ever! Everything about it is perfect, super strong suction, awesome attachments and the way it extends is "near" perfect.

About the only thing I can think of that I'd like to see different is adding a height adjustment for carpets. In my bedroom I have very thick carpet and in my other bedrooms it's thin. On my master bedroom carpet it tends to leave lines. I usually like lines as it shows you just vacuumed, but this leaves about 4 lines instead of the usual two corner lines.

I was completely amazed when I saw how much dirt, dust and dog hair I got out of my carpet, even AFTER going over it with my old vacuum. I was expecting it to be the best vacuum I have ever used and it is.

I've had this vacuum for about 3 weeks now and so-far-so-good since it's a re-manufactured item. This vacuum sucks up just about everything and easy to dump the waste. My only complaint and it's not really a complaint...for the money...Dyson should give you more tools. I will probably purchase the long soft brush attachment for picture frames, etc. I would have given it 5 stars, but the price is high with bare minimum tools, and, also, the warranty was not good for the re-manufacture purchase. I would highly recommend this vacuum, especially if you have pets and kids. My home hasn't been this dust-less in years.

I read and read the reviews and debated and debated and finally ordered and do not regret making this purchase in the least. I was hesitant about getting a factory reconditioned but even more hesitant about paying $429 for a new one. When it got here, I was a little disappointed when I took it out of the box because it had some scuff marks and the canister was dirty. Once I turned it on and started vacuuming, though, all disappointment left and I have even put more scuff marks on it since and I don't care. It works great! I was dancing around all happy and my husband and daughter looked at me like I was crazy. It was waiting for me when I got home from a trip and I was exhausted but I still vacuumed the whole house! I mainly wanted it because I have a dog and it has been a chore to get her hair out of the carpet, I have allergies, and I love that you don't have to change filters. I just want everyone to know that all I had to do was vacuum over where a huge amount of her (dog) hair was and it all came up easily! I decided not to get the ones with attachments because the reviews were (overall) not positive and I didn't really see myself using them anyway. It does what I bought it for and I have even took it to my two offices (different counties) and vacuumed there and it worked well. I haven't had any problems with it not vacuuming (ratcheting others have spoke of) except once and it was thin carpet so I put it on bare floors and it worked fine. I gave it four stars because even though it is awesome, the wheels and other parts appear to be made from cheap plastic and the price is too much for them to skimp on that.

I'm a long time Oreck XL user. I saw the deal for a refurb on passwird.com, so I grabbed one. I can't believe the volume of dirt this thing pulled out of my carpets after they had been cleaned with the Oreck. It is heavier than the Oreck, but the complaints that it's "too heavy" are exaggerated. I also have had no trouble using the attachments. The trick is to completely extend the flexible hose one time. This keeps it from wanting to drag the base unit after you. The overall industrial design is great although I find the placement of the power button a little quirky. Small price to pay. I'd buy it again.

Vacuum works great, my husband uses it almost daily! The day we got it he vacuumed for 3 hrs! So when my husband will take up vacuuming it is well worth it!

As many others stated this unit arrived in "new" condition - we couldn't find anything worn or damaged. The wife now looks forward to vacuuming. It really sucks up the dog hair from our 90 lb. golden retreiver who sheds all the time. My wife has not had a sinus problem since we have gotten this unit, and she enjoys the fact that the canister empties from the bottom - our Hoover windtunnel emptied from the top and was always inconvenient to dump out. Believe me , we were happy to put than one out at the curb. It is also much quieter than the hoover. Our golden would seek another room when we vacuumed before, but has to be moved out of the way now ;-).

I personally was skeptical about the Dyson before our purchase but my wife had heard many glowing comments from persons on the golden retriever discussion list she follows. Seeing the results now I have to admit it lives up to the ratings on Amazon and Epinions. We are quite satisfied with our purchase.

this vacuum is awesome. it picks up everything, is light, easy to use and the design is beautiful. worth the money, especically if you have pets. works extremely well on bare floors as well, unlike most vacuums. seemed like was brand new and certainly works like a brand new unit.

Don't let the size of the Bissell GoVac deter you - it's a hungry little champ! Of course it's not as powerful as a vacuum, so have the right expectations of what you're getting. It's extremely simple to operate and does so at an acceptable volume. It picks up cat hair, cat litter and food from carpeting and the small sized head actually helps get into some tighter spaces. I bought this to replace our Shark which died (and if you've had one you know how it feels to have thrown away that money). After we got our Bissell my mother wanted one too (funny enough to replace her dead Shark!). I would say the only negative is the smaller dust cup. However it holds enough to do the job and is actually very easy (and cleaner) to empty. Also, in the past when I've had a problem with a Bissell product they were there to help and did so politely and quickly - I cannot say the same for the Shark company. Overall this is absolutely a best buy for the money - and with the Bissell reputation behind it I hope we'll be enjoying our GoVac for a long time to come! This little sweeper was a *fantastic* purchase. Don't be deceived by it's small size -- it's power is formidible. It picks up everything from pet hair to dust particles to large crumbs on our hardwood, tile, and shag carpeted floors. Yet, its compact size makes it easy on your back (so we don't have to lug the humongous Dyson out as often) and enhances its maneuverability between table legs, chairs, behind the TV, etc. It works for about 20 minutes per charge, which is long enough to spot clean and keep the house under control. We've had it for over four months now, and I'd say our house is at least 200% cleaner because of it, since it's so easy, almost fun, to just whip this little baby out and let her rip. It's not even very noisy (the cat's not afraid of it). The only drawbacks I can think of are because it's a sweeper instead of a vacuum, it cleans only perfectly flat, open, surfaces well. Thus, it doesn't do a good job as a "hand vac" to clean the floor of the car since our car floors aren't perfectly flat (they're undulating). Also, I tried it on the carpet on the stairs, and it doesn't get the dust in the nooks and crannies well. I just use a regular vacuum or dustbuster with a crevice tool for those jobs. Also, it will probably last longer if it is not overcharged on a continual basis. That said, even if this thing lasts only a year, we will gladly repurchase because we have perpetually crumb-generating toddlers, pets, and humans around here and this inexpensive GoVac has raised the quality of our daily life.

Easy to assemble and use. If you have only a few area rugs in your home, I think you would be satisfied with this product. If you have many area rugs or larger ones or especially, if you have carpeting, you should buy a larger unit with rotating brushes and a larger water storage capacity. I like mine a lot for ease of use and cleaning our few area rugs.

From the initial appearance I doubted its ability, but it proved me wrong. Despite the light weight it sucks up a disgustingly impressive amount of dirt.

I purchased this Bissel QuickSteamer about six weeks ago. I purchased it specifically due to our incontinent beagle. I have used the big $400 carpet cleaners before, and while this little Bissel is not in the same league, it still is a very good cleaner. And worth much more than its meager $55 price tag.

It is light, easy to use, and even comes with a bottle of carpet shampoo. You fill the little container up with hot water, add some cleaner, slap it into the steamer body and you're ready to clean up your carpet. Just squeeze the trigger on the handle to squirt out the cleaner and let it go for it to be kind of sucked back into the steamer.

Now if you have a massive 3,000 square foot house then obviously this steamer is not for you. But for working in smaller carpeted areas and rooms, this is perfect. If you want to clean an entire room's carpet extremely well, you may have to re-fill the water/shampoo cannister once or twice. But the re-fill process is quick and the emptying of the dirty water only takes a moment, so this really isn't a problem at all. This steamer isn't designed for huge jobs.

The only problem I've ran into is that if you do not fill up the cannister to the "fill line" when you begin your cleaning, the trigger button may not work. I looked at the troubleshooting on the Bissel website and it says that the steamer functions on a "gravity process" or something of that nature, and that the steamer needs filled completely to get the whole gravity thing going. So, when you start make sure its filled completely.

Anyways, for the super-low price and the steamer's excellent performance, I can't imagine that you could find a better machine for a better price. This is an excellent product that I'd highly recommend to anyone.

I had no idea how good this product is. It came with the vacuum cleaner so I figured I would use it on a mess my cat left after coughing up a hairball. The Dyzolv completely removed the stain. This was not the first haiball the cat had coughed up. Previously I used some other spot remover I had. It didn't do as good a job as the Dyzolv. Since then the cat has coughed up more hairballs and everytime the Dyson Dyzolv removes the stain. That is why I purchased two more bottles.

This stuff is amazing. I recently bought a dyson vacuum cleaner, and it came with a free bottle of the Dyzolv.

I came home yesterday afternoon to find that one of my three cats had knocked a can of coke off the counter and onto the carpet. It was spread over a four foot area and I decided to give the Dyzolv a shot.

It not only removed the stain with hardly any effort or scrubbing... but it also left no trace of the stain (as most other cleaners seem to do). It costs a bit more than other cleaners, but MUCH MUCH less than replacing carpet that might previously have been considered uncleanable. :o)

This cleaner will get out ANYTHING. New and very old stains are no problem. I have tried everything on these multiple spots that were left by the previous owner. 4 years later, this stuff, take them out in just one small application. AMAZING is the only word that I can use to describe this cleaner.

It will take out dirt, oil, grease, wine, mold, blood,.....ANYTHING and only in one application!
