Cooking Brands Review Grinds beautifully, but the switch often jams
Though this grinder does a nice job grinding my coffee beans, the switch mechanism has little margin for error. About once a week, when I try to operate the grinder, the switch will not engage and the grinder will not operate. Only after I empty the beans out and give the machine a good shake will the lid finally go on tightly and the switch will engage. I am not particularly messy. This should not happen with a 3 month old coffee grinder.

This grinder was a replacement for a seven year old Krups that I discarded due to the dullness of the blades (not surprising), but I never had a switch problem with that one, or the new Krups I bought for home. I regret not sticking with Krups.

Cooking Brands Review Little Red Magician, but my beef is with Amazon...
This little red kitchen buddy is a whiz with the coffee beans, and looks stellar next to the Cuisinart 12-cup CoffeeMaker. My main beef is with Amazon, who, a week after my purchase, lowered the price another $3 bucks. Oh well! Sunny cheery RED and great coffee sure are an eye opener, any day of the week! I haven't had any problems with this grinder, but have only had it a short time. To be fair about Amazon... I love their choices, and I've had a specially fun time with creating my Red Kitchen! Amazon has a very good Red selection! Now if Frigidaire would only come back out with their Poppy Red appliances (1970s or early 80s)... I left my Fridge and stove in the house I sold in New Mexico in 1985, and sorely regret I did!

Cooking Brands Review Great coffee!
This is the first coffee grinder that I have ever purchased and I am extremely pleased. That being said I have to say that I find it a speedy little unit that is easy to clean and makes just the noise you would expect! I also have to say that I purchase high quality coffee and I make full pots of strong coffee without having to grind a second run of beans...

Cooking Brands Review Nice pan
This pan cleans well, heats evenly, and makes a nice size lasagna for four (with a bit left over). It is about 2.75 inches deep, with my only complaint that I wish it was deeper. Overall, a great buy

Cooking Brands Review very disapointed in this waffle maker
I added this as a third waffle maker. We line them up when the kids all come home with their families. I added a fourth the Waring Pro. To me the Oster is nowhere as good as my 2 old proctor silex wafflers. It is called a Belgian but the depth is only half of the others and does not cook as evenly or as crisp a result. I seldom use it. The new Waring Pro on the other hand is GREAT!!! I suggest looking at it. More money but worth it. It quickly became my favorite.

Cooking Brands Review Great waffles, given patience with heating
After reading reviews on Amazon, I decided to give this wafflemaker a try, as it looked better than anything I could find in a retail environment, for the money. Overall, I believe it is a quality product that ultimately produces really good waffles. I was disappointed with the first couple times I used it, as the waffles were not getting nearly brown enough on the darkest setting. However, I have found that if I let it heat well beyond when the ready light goes on, the waffles brown nicely.

Cooking Brands Review great buy
Works very well, easy to use and clean.

Cooking Brands Review Thanks, but NO Thanks
I looked for a coffee maker that included a grinder for quite a while and was excited to see that Cuisinart had that combination. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed in the product. It is very difficult to see down into the well how much water you've added when making 1-4 cups of coffee - there is no external water line. You cannot select the grind of coffee - it's all one grind. That would normally be ok since you usually use that grind for an automatic coffeemaker. However, there are times when I have a bold bean that I'd like to grind the coffee a little more coarsely. It can sometimes be challenging getting the accessories to sit just right in their respective locations, at least on my pot. This is especially true for the basket. I frequently find a few coffee grinds in my cup. I am particularly disappointed in how long the coffee stays hot - or I should say how long it doesn't stay hot. It's better when you make coffee on demand and warm up the pot with hot water before making the coffee, but it still doesn't keep it warm for hours. It isn't possible to warm the pot before making coffee if you're using the timer. To top everything off, they didn't even include a filter with the new pot. If I knew then what I know now, I would not selected this coffeemaker. I would not recommend this product to anyone and I'd take back my Krups anytime.

Cooking Brands Review Great Idea but poor Quality !
The Grind and Brew is a wonderful idea because we all love freshly brewed coffee from fresh beans.
This coffee maker is absolutely awful as far as quality and performance go. It cannot be left alone. If you don't watch it it may open up and splll coffee and grounds all over the counter and floor and has done this numerous times for me. Because of this, you can never use the timer.
It is impossible to keep clean because of the design and Cuisinart should be ashamed to put their name on this inferior product.
Whatever you do; DONT BUY THIS ITEM !

Cooking Brands Review Convenient, A Little Extra Work Is Necessary
We received this coffeemaker as a wedding gift, have used it at least once daily for almost a year, and won't go back to anything else. Sure, it takes a bit of extra work to keep it clean, but we really think it's worth it. Other reviewers have mentioned steam traveling up the grinder chute and creating a sludge in the grinder. By then the grounds are in the filter during brewing anyway, and it just takes some warm water and paper towel to wipe down the insides afterward. As to the flavor it definitely depends on the beans you choose. Right now I'm drinking old-fashioned Eight-O-Clock coffee this coffeemaker ground and brewed for us this morning. But there are better beans in the cupboard if I want to use them. Don't like the grind size for some sessions? Want to use Folgers? A $20 grinder will solve the grind size issue, and the grinder can be shut off so you can use pre-ground coffee. As to the noise, unless you sleep in the kitchen or sleep with the bedroom door open, it's really nothing to worry about. Kinda fun though ... it does scare the bejeepers out of cats and in-laws! We did check the thermal carafe once on a trip and the coffee was still hot six hours after brewing. To sum up, if you're a "coffee elitist", no, you probably won't like it, just like you won't like a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. But if you're a normal everyday coffee drinker, this, and it's non-thermal smaller brother, is your high-end machine. Just break out the elbow grease when resetting it.

Cooking Brands Review Excellent Product!
This product is just the thing for special occasions. It allows you to make the whip cream way ahead of time (even days if you want) and not have to worry about at dinnertime or after. Because it is under pressure, your cream stays fresher longer. Also, it is especially great for those who would like to have whip cream today and later in the week. It does not loose its volume and turn to soup like if you were to whip it in a mixer and use it a day later. The only problem I have is not having enough for a large group. Thankfully it is so easy to make, sometimes I will make it again when the first batch is gone. This takes all of about a min. or so to do. Warning: Be on the look-out for the CO2 cartridges at your local stores because they can really range in price. Usually specialty cooking stores carry it but it is not the best buy there as a general rule. Always keep enough on hand because it's usually a holiday when I realize I am out (stores aren't open!)

Good Luck and Happy Cooking!

Cooking Brands Review Excellent Product!!
I love this product! I use it all the time.

Best parts:
A- I know it's fresh, and hasn't been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long already.
B- I know what's in it (i.e. no sugar).
C- I can flavor it any way I like.
D- It's way cheaper than buying it pre-whipped.
E- I don't have to get the electric mixer dirty.

The only part that I'm not crazy about is cleaning it... but a good bottle brush and some hot soapy water take care of it nicely.

Cooking Brands Review Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Tube Pan is a 2 PEICE
When I ordered this item it did NOT list that it had a removeable center peice. I was looking for a solid one peice to bake pound cakes in. The 2 peice does leak a bit, but is DOES NOT stick. NOTE: do not use spray pam on this item EVER as it will build a sticky film. I say just let others know it is NOT a solid pan.

Cooking Brands Review Read the description
The desctiption does state that the cake pan has a "removable core and bottom." Does that leave any question that it is two pieces?

While I have yet to purchase this for myself, it is on my wish list.
