Cooking Brands Review Worst coffee maker ever to CLEAN almost impossible
This is worst coffee maker I ever saw to clean CAN Not take apart to clean. Have to use a long handle brush and than almost impossible to clean and rinse.
I have to unplug and wash with soappy water and than rinse (a nightmare). Would never buy one like this again not for this amount of money.

Cooking Brands Review Excellent, good coffee
Well, reading the other reviews, I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this grinder/coffee maker. What made me decide on the Cuisinart were two factors: there really aren't much else out there and a friend has one and loves it. While the first one may NOT be a ringing endorsement, let me say the friend's recommendation was the clincher. First, it is her second Cuisinart. Second, her coffee tastes great. Now, before I tell what I like about it, let me counter some of the negative reviews floating on Amazon.

I mean these counters only as an alternative to the shortcomings people have offered about his machine. This is NOT a personal attack.

CON: It makes weak coffee.
Counter: No machine really decides how weak or strong the coffee is. It is the bean. Plain and simple. My father LOVES strong tasting coffee, almost to fault. So even when we go fishing/camping and use our aluminum gravity drip makers, the coffee is NOT weak. Why? We make sure we use the right roast: French or Italian or something dark along those lines. Simple: it's the bean baby!

CON: It's hard to clean.
Counter: Not really. While it does have five parts to clean, if you keep the gold filter (provided)clean and don't let the grounds sit in it too long, all you have to do is dump it out and lightly rinse it. Other than that, just rinse the parts. Occasionally, you may have to use soap and water, but that is not too bad.

CON: It keeps the coffee too hot.
Counter: First, coffee is suppose to be really hot. The hotter the better. I know a certain fast food place was sued over hot coffee (they still have the best coffee around!), but I talked to my cousin who knows the person in charge of the fast food place that was sued, and she claims that the coffee is SUPPOSE to be that hot and that other fast food places have theirs that hot, and they are slowly raising theirs back. Bottom line: no coffee addict should EVER leave their coffee pot on for over an hour and expect the coffee not to be bitter and nasty tasting. If you read the instructions, Cuisinart actually recommends not only stirring the coffee, but also removing it to a carafe to keep it warm. What else is there to say?

Bottom line: it is the best coffee maker that I have ever owned. If you play with the water/coffee levels to get what you like, you will have one tasty cup of joe. After having it for 3 months now, I would never, ever buy anything else. Period. Good enough for ya? PEACE!

Cooking Brands Review THIS IS THE BEST COFFEE MAKER! EXCELLENT HOT COFFEE EVERY TIME!
I had many unfortunate experiences with coffee makers (ranging from Mr. Coffee to Bunn) and could not understand why I could not get a good tasting hot cup of coffee with a machine that would not cost an arm and a leg in the price range of $100.00 or more. I remember when coffee makers cost $20.00-30.00, so the prices of many of the coffee makers I looked at were a surprise, to say the least (not to mention culture shock). However, in my quest for the best coffee maker, I found this Cuisinart Central Brew coffee maker. It is reasonably priced, makes good hot coffee and every pot is perfect. I especially like the timer feature on it, which gives me the added benefit of waking up to a hot pot of coffee in the morning, brewed before my alarm clock sounds. This coffee maker is the best value for the money and makes the best coffee (and hot too!). I would recommend the Cuisinart Brew Central coffee maker to anyone. Good product, good price, good coffee! Excellent!! By the way, a friend has the stainless steel Cuisinart Brew Central coffee maker that grinds the coffee beans and she loves it. The one I purchased is not the stainless steel model and does not grind the coffee beans, but it is exactly what I wanted and I love this coffee maker (I didn't want the coffee bean grinder, stainless steel or thermal pot. Just a plain old glass pot for me.) I am glad Cuisinart gives you a choice and lets you pick out the coffee maker that is best for you, according to your taste. Take my advise and get a Cuisinart. You will be pleased and enjoy cup after cup of delicious hot coffee.

Cooking Brands Review be afraid -- be VERY afraid (if you're a pizza!)
it's BIG
it's SHARP
however
it's CONSIDERATE, i.e., it's not as heavy or as unwieldy as it looks, it features a finger guard design which helps protect your hand from the blade, it comes with a blade guard for safe storage, and the overall design offers decent ergonomics which comes in handy for someone like me who has a small hand and a relatively weak grip. it's certainly the best pizza cutter i've ever owned--search for it on sale like i did and find yourself smiling at your great fortune!

Cooking Brands Review Very poor performance
The pan doesn't perform as stated. The muffins along the perimeter of the pan baked well enough, but the inside muffins were still underbaked, very gooey. Am extremely disappointed with this pan.

Cooking Brands Review Amazon product review is quite accurate
I purchased one to try out, then bought a second one. They are very nice, heavy, bakeware that performs as advertised. They easily compete with Calphalon, Hoffritz, and Anolon bakeware, only 40% less expensive. The only caution, which seems true for all dark bakeware, is it cooks faster, so don't overcook.

Cooking Brands Review Excellent design
I've had this scale for 10-12 years. It has outlasted several of those spring loaded things you can get for $10.

The Cuisinart scale uses a balance weight so there are no springs to go out of whack. It's pretty consistent, and a very accurate way to weigh things for baking or home-canning. The adjustment is the wheel on the left bottom of the picture, you simply twist it to zero out the scale on your counter/table.

The only drawback (and thus only 4 stars) is the 10 oz. limit. I use it to portion out things like hamburger for freezing (wrap the bowl with saran wrap for easy clean-up), and a 1lb capacity would be nice for those times.

Cooking Brands Review Best Scale Ever
I got this scale about 15 years ago. It's very precise, as its name indicates. I just bought another one because I dropped mine and broke the height adjuster, but it survived 10 relocations in those 15 years. It is very sturdy and the bowl can be washed in the dishwasher--top rack. I highly recommend it to everyone I know.

Cooking Brands Review Reply to Stella
I had the same problem when I purchased a similar product. Great idea, but hard to come by the fuel. If you go to [...], they make the 2.6 oz chafing fuel and you can click on a list of places that sell there products. You should also call ahead to make sure that they have that size in stock. I hope this works for you, it did for me.

Cooking Brands Review I'd like to review but....
It would be nice if I could find 2.6 oz canned chafing fuel to use with item. I'd like to test it out, but have searched high and low for the fuel!!! Can anyone help?

Cooking Brands Review Should have checked Amazon
If you type in chafing fuel on the Amazon search bar, you'll find a 3 count of 2.6 ounce chafing fuel. Hope this helps.
