Cooking Brands Review Great Pan, many uses!
I was looking for a middle of the road stainless steel pan set. I ordered many pieces of Cuisinart's Chef Classic Stainless last year for Christmas, and I have yet to be disappointed. It's heavy without being unwieldy, it's versatile, and cleans like a dream! I'm working on completing my collection!

This pan is great for sauteing veggies, or pan searing meats. I don't like that there's no lid for it, but I have a spatter guard that works fine. I even did a small amount of spaghetti sauce in it last week. The Helper Handle really does what it says, when you're making something that makes it heavier, or just need to make sure the pan doesn't move when you're stirring!

If you don't have the money for levels like All-Clad and Calphalon (like me!) you can't go wrong with Cuisinart's Chef Classic line!

Cooking Brands Review Great product
I recently received a set of Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless for a gift. If did not have the 12 inch open skillet. The price for this item from you site was just the ticket to complete my set. I received the skillet in a timely manner and was very pleased with the product.
Thank you.

Cooking Brands Review I love my Little Pro
I've had it for almost 20 years and it's great! It's never broken once in all that time, the blades are still sharp and I use it a lot! Perfect for when we first got married and doesn't take up much space and it;a pretty light to move around. Now, I can use the larger version, but this one is great for most jobs, like making dips or guacamole, or whipping cream, you name it. A great buy and necessity in the kitchen. I have an additional workbowl for mine too.

Cooking Brands Review Small but powerful
When I purchased this item, I was trying to decide between this processor and the miniprep. A former roommate of mine had the miniprep, and I was a little frustrated by the fact that it frequently would overheat when preparing even something relatively simple like pesto. This item is much more powerful than the miniprep, and I have never had problems with it overheating. The ejector chute also allows it to chop larger batches of food. The only task I have put it to where I have found it less than satisfactory is in preparing pie crust. The booklet claims that it is up to the task, but I found it doesn't quite mix properly (the dough on the bottom doesn't seem to mix as well with the dough on the top). All in all, however, this item is great.

Cooking Brands Review She loves it!
She loves it! I gave this to my daughter for her birthday and she's been inventing new recipes ever since... she absolutely loves it.

Cooking Brands Review Defective machine - burns bread everytime
This machine is defective - unless you like burned bread, don't buy it. Even on the lightest setting, it burns the crust. It makes nice dough, but that's about all.

Cooking Brands Review Horrible, horrible machine! Save your money.
I'm an experienced breadmaker and was one of the first to have a bread machine. When that finally gave up the ghost (after 10+ years of service), we bought this one.

Tried 2 breads, one from my tried & true favorite recipe, one from the booklet that came with the machine, and both were dismal failures.

Problems right from the start:
->The bread pan is difficult to clip and unclip from the locking tabs, and the paddle was hard to insert all the way.
->The machine is NOISY, about the decibel level of a washing machine on spin cycle.
->The brushed metal casing gets hot while it's baking and the handle of the lid is too hot to touch without a potholder. I burned my fingertips and worried about what might happen if my small daughter walked too close in the kitchen.
->Lots of beeps, but no indicator in the accompanying instruction booklet as to what the beeps mean. The "mix in" light lit up and stayed lit as soon as I plugged the breadmaker in, so that was no help.

First attempt at bread, from my tried & true recipe, didn't rise at all, although the package of yeast had a long way to go till its expiration date. The bread was difficult to get out of the machine (despite the instructions that say to turn the pan upside down and shake) and I had to work at it with a nonstick spatula to get it loose.

I decided to throw away the flour and yeast I had in the house and start with a fresh batch (King Arthur bread flour).

Second attempt at bread, from the Cuisinart recipe, rose, but the bread was IMPOSSIBLE to get loose from the pan. My husband worked at it with a fork until we could tear chunks free. The bottom crust proved to be sandy with large streaks of unmixed flour. The bread recipe itself was tasteless, with the unpleasant texture of a microwaved sponge.

This one goes back for a refund!!!

Cooking Brands Review Great Items, as long as you follow a couple tips..
I was planning on saving for the expensive Japanese brand after reading breach maching reviews on amazon, but then my Husband bought me the Cuisnart as a graduation gift. The machine does have a tendency to burn the bread as other reviewers have mentioned, but I find as long as I put the setting on light and check the bread towards the end of the cycle its fine...I have just had to stop the machine a bit early a couple times so that the bread didn't burn.

The other thing is that it is important to make sure that the removeable bread holder/mixer is clipped into tightly and securely before making bread, its easy to mixtake it for being in securely and if it's not secure, the machine will not knead the bread properly.

Other than the fact the machine is not "fool proof", I have had excellent results as long as I am careful with those two things and the recipe book is great!

Cooking Brands Review tea pot from heaven
This is the best tea pot you can own....just don't let your kids put it on the stove or you will find yourself searching the web for another one...

Cooking Brands Review excellent product.
I have been using this kettle at least 4 to 5 times DAILY for a little over three years with ZERO problems. It boils the water quickly, and the stainless surface has held up great. I was surprised to read other reviews where people reported the handle fell off! I carefully examined mine and it appears to be soldered on pretty well. I will keep an eye on it, but this has truly been a really great kettle for us so far.

Cooking Brands Review It's true......
The darn thing sputters a mess all over....and this was just from cooking two small 'cups' of rice. Next time, I'm going for quality (iow- gettin a zoji) instead of looks.... ugh!

Cooking Brands Review Works Well
It works well. Cleans up easy. Retractable cord is cool. Some reviews mention that it makes a mess (water boiling over and out), but I have not experienced that. I don't usually cook more than 1 or 2 cups (dry measurement) of rice at a time, maybe that's the difference.

Cooking Brands Review Love it
It's great for making rice and congee. Plus it comes with a steamer basket (good for heating up frozen steamed buns), a rice paddle, a retractable cord, and it looks good. What else could you want? After a year or so, not a single problem.

Cooking Brands Review Love It
I love this coffeemaker. I feel it is better than the brewstation which I had previously that one day just stopped working. I feel that this is a better built machine, I have had no trouble with dripping and the coffee stays hot and fresh for a long time. I like how the machine beeps to let you know the coffee is ready and beeps to let you know when it is turning itself off. I love the look of the machine. As with the original brewstation it does not fit my travel mugs which in my opinion is the only drawback of this machine. Other than that I feel it is and excellent well built machine that makes great tasting coffee.

Cooking Brands Review Great deal
As a single serving chef this is a great deal-the blender is powerful enough and the food processor works great; however, if you're wanting to make large quantities in the food processor, this is not the product for you. But other than the size limitations this is a great product.

Cooking Brands Review Cuisinart CBT-500FP Blender/Processor
Hands down the best. We replaced a 20 year old Mixmaster that outlived its usefulness.

The Cuisinart provides ease of handling, a powerful motor and it looks good.

It is in use daily!

Cooking Brands Review So Far It's Great
I needed something that would crush ice for smoothies but I didn't want to buy 2 appliances since I also wanted a food processor. I found this and while not the cheapest, it's powerful and does a great job. Handles the ice very well and does a great job of mixing stuff up. Also the cup is 50 ounces which is larger than than average. Cuisinart is not as popular as other brands but I find that's usually a sign it works better.

Cooking Brands Review LOUD but FANTASTIC!
I primarily make smoothies with this blender, which can be a problem for many other blenders, but not for this one! It crushes ice and blends like a dream. My only complaint is that it is really loud. I had a Kitchenaid 5 speed blender before this one and it was MUCH quiter. I also sampled the Viking blender in a store once and it was also pretty loud. But aside from the sound factor, this blender is easy to use and works just as well as your top dollar blenders, if not better.

Also keep in mind, you can get add on accessories for a very reasonable price. I purchased the stainless milk shake carafe and the food processor attachment. This is an option that you can't get with other blenders.

Cooking Brands Review Absolutely the Best!!! And I've tested enough of the others to know!!!
My friends joke about how thorough I am about making consumer purchase decisions. They say, "If you want to get the best, get him interested in what you're looking for and he'll research it 'till he finds it.

Well I found it! The Osterizer Classic Behive Blender series is truly the best. In my search, I tried a professional bar blender by Hamilton Beach and the newer styles with the larger, wider bottom mixing jars like the one from KitchenAide. The Beehive crushes and blends anything I desire.

I bought an Osterizer Beehive that also came with a milk-shake mixer and blade, a food processor attachment and a babyfood jar attachment. They all work great and got them all as a single bundle on sale for $79 - less than the other blenders listed below that didn't work as well. You can also buy the attachments separately, if you desire. I even found that certain slightly smaller mouthed tahini (sesame seed butter) jars work as well, which enable me to mix things like sauces right in the jar I plan to refrigerate them in -- Jars made by Arrowhead Mills work well, for example.

Plus, the heavy duty construction of the Beehive is fantastic as well. Very sturdy base and solid motor. Yes, it's slightly loud, but only slightly. And it's not like it needs to be on long enough to destroy any conversation worth having. A couple of seconds, and you're done. I was a little concerned about the dial switch that came with mine since I thought the flip switches would be better and easier to clean. However, I love the three speeds with the option of turning off at the high end or the low end. And it cleans just fine.

The Hamilton Beach is only good for restaurant style crushed ice, forget it for home-made ice. Plus, the plastic mixing jar that is legally required in restaurants feels lightweight and cheap at home. The Kitchenaide has a strong enough motor, but their (and others') attempts at improving what already works has failed miserably. The larger wider mixing jars are great for crushing ice, but if you throw any fruit in there as well, it leaves fruit lumps. It couldn't even blend a banana for me without leaving lumps on numerous attempts.

Seriously, the Osterizer is absolutely amazing. And I am simply an enthusiastic consumer who has finally found a product that truly delivers. Oh, I was also slightly concerned that the chrome would be too "loud" in my kitchen, but it simply looks wonderfully retro. The very top part is plastic, as opposed to the metal of the base, which I also thought might be a concern, but the the difference in chrome color and texture are minimal, so no aesthetic issue, and the plastic is heavy duty and long lasting. Again, you can't go wrong with this blender!!!

Cooking Brands Review Excellent product
We use this in our coffee house for mixing drinks & crushing ice. It does an excellent job for us.

Cooking Brands Review I like it!
The blade and disc holder does what it says it will. It does protect your blades etc. and it is easier on the fingers by not having to store the blades in a drawer. The only fault I can find with it is that if I move it, the small blade slips out of place. They could have made that area a little deeper to hold it better. Other than that, I think this is a good product and worth the money. I have not had any trouble with the locking lid and like this feature.

Cooking Brands Review Shoulda Bought it a long time ago
This is a super convenient item. I don't lock it so messing with the lock is not an issue. The lock could probably be a little more user friendly. It stores everything just great. It keeps the dust off of my Cuisinart goodies. I have another three-blade disc holder too. That one came with my Cuisinart. This one is a must-have.

Cooking Brands Review Cuisinart Blade and Disc Holder
I am very happy with the purchase of this item. Without it, we had nowhere to store the blades due to their odd sizes. Also, because of the sharpness of the blades, it's nice to have the child proof opener to prevent any accidents. I would recommend this product to anyone with similar needs.

Cooking Brands Review Broke after 2 years
After only two years, the buttons failed. This microwave is totally useless, since I can't turn it on.

Cooking Brands Review Cannot cook fat free popcorn!!
This oven is just too high to cook lite popcorn correctly. I have tried big bags, individual bags, popcorn button on both speeds and just winging it while watching it. The center of bag is always scorched badly long before the kernals stop popping.
The lower wattage levels are just intermittent high level (1200 watt). If any one has this figured out let me know. I have been experimenting for four months.

Cooking Brands Review College kid, perfect for my instant meals
College kid, when i'm too lazy to cook, i dump my instant frozen dinners in it and the sensor touch cooks it to perfection, no more guess work and memorising that my fried chicken needs 5 mins while my swedish meatballs only need 3.5 mins.

popcorn turns out great so far, warming up my yesterdays leftovers are also prefect.

pretty decent space for college student, enough space in it to a whole chicken as well.

so far, so good
