Cuisinart Review Quick and Easy!
I live in the middle of Africa and the only ice cream here isn't safe to eat. I had a friend bring this machine over and it has worked like a champ from day one! It is extremely easy to use and to clean. The electricity often cuts out here, but the machine works so fast that I've not had a problem with that. Today I made some chocolate ice cream with four African friends who'd never tasted it before. It was simple and delicious, even with powdered milk, sterilized cream, and Cadbury's drinking cocoa. This machine rocks!

Cuisinart Review Excellent for healthful treats too!
I'm a big fan of ice cream, but due to dietary restrictions can eat it only rarely. So I bought this with the intention of making frozen yogurt with it. And it works great!! I use non-fat yogurt, and mush up some fruit (usually strawberries, bananas, or blueberries). Sometimes I add unsweetened cocoa for that chocolate kick. The natural sweetness of the fruit negates any need for added sugar (although I confess to adding chocolate or caramel toppings from time to time!) So now I have a fat-free, sugar-free, healthful freezer full of this stuff, and am always making more!

I found that by draining the yogurt beforehand and making a sort of yogurt cheese makes for a creamier result. Simply set the yogurt in a cheesecloth and strainer in a bowl overnight.

Cuisinart Review great and healthy device
Most ice cream beside Bryers contains High fructose corn syrup a genetically altered product the goes the serial sets with acids enzymes and bacteria to create this very unnatural product and while its in alot of adult food suprising it never in baby food maybe that can be expalned as baby rats die in 5 weeks when feed it while normal rats lives an avarage of 2 years unlees there feed a high copper diet

so making you own ice cream is much better for you the genetically altered [...]
and all those who had one die with in a month or two get over it as you got a defective one so return it. my recomendations is to use it a lot in the first month even if you got to give it to friends to make sure you got a good one. so if it dies you can get contact amazon and get it replaced

Cuisinart Review Very Easy & Quick
This is a very easy, quick way to soft serve ice cream. It uses simple ingredients and my kids loved it. It does melt very quickly, so you may need to set it in the freezer to harden up a bit. I did have a slight problem getting all the ice cream off the sides of the bowl, as it tends to freeze to the sides. Very easy clean-up. I recommend this if your looking for pure ice cream with no perservatives.

Cuisinart Review What can I say that hasn't already been said...
This machine is absolutely fabulous. I picked this up after a friend of mine told me he had just picked the same machine up. After making 3 batches of ice cream I can now state positively, that this machine makes some GREAT ice cream. I made vanilla, strawberry and chocolate all from the included recipe book and each was delicious.

The only negative I can say about the machine is that is is a little bit loud, but that's really my only complaint. It cleans in a snap (rinse the ice cream residue out with warm water and toss the bowl back into the freezer). Also, the machine has a nice appearance and looks great on the counter.

If your hesitant, or worried that the ice cream will not come out like the stuff you buy in the supermarket, please rest assured that it's the real deal. The only problem is deciding what to make next!

Get this and you won't be disappointed. Great machine!

Cuisinart Review Excellent coffeemaker!
The only drawback on this coffee maker is where you pour the water in. It would be an easier design if it were positioned in the front corner. That being said, the features of this coffee maker make it an excellent and useful machine. The programmable timer makes life ever so much easier, and the auto shut-off is a godsend. The styling is sleek and fits well into any kitchen that may have black or stainless appliances. The timer also being *above* the coffee delivery system make this machine less prone to being 'shorted' out. I love the beeps when the brewing cycle is finished too!

Great value for the money!

Cuisinart Review Good buy for the money
This coffeemaker performs very well overall. The only downside is the carafe's pour spout which spills if you pour too fast. Otherwise good deal.

Cuisinart Review I don't drink coffee but...
I bought this for my wife as well as my daughter and granddaughter who are living with us at the moment. They're all quite happy with it.

Cuisinart Review Great Value, perfect size, more attachments
This is my seconds cuisinart 7 cup food processor that I've purchased from Amazon. You get the deluxe kit with more attachments at the same prices as the non-deluxe sells for in department stores. I can do almost anything with this and 7 cups is definitely large enough unless you are using it professionally. This one is a gift to a friend and I'm sure she'll love it.

Cuisinart Review Great Food Processor
I cook for two people and this food processor is just the right size for that. I use it to slice, shredd, mix, chop, make dough (around 2 cups) and it works just fine. For dough, add water slowly and don't add more than two and half cups of flour at a time.

Cuisinart Review Nice set but can rust easily
I had been searching for a knife set for quite some time. I wasn't sure, however, if I was prepared to pay for the more expensive sets. I saw this set at a major department store on sale, so I went ahead and bought it. My first impression was that the knives are sharp, very stylish, well balanced, and not too heavy. The latter is a wonderful feature, especially for my husband who suffers from carpel tunnel syndrome. He feels the knives are a very comfortable grip. Their sharpness actually makes chopping and dicing a fun task.
A minor drawback from this set is that the vault is rather bulky and takes up a bit more counter space than an average wood block. Also, another more important drawback I noticed was that you need to wash and dry these knives almost immediately after using them otherwise they will begin to develop rust spots. This actually disappointed me very much and I tried contacting Cuisinart but to no avail. So, I will keep my set and continue to make sure they don't sit for too long after being used. For this reason I give this set 3 stars. I would like to give 3.5 but that option does not exist in this rating system.

Cuisinart Review Very nice knives
I have several sets, by several manufacturers. These are the ones I use the most. Very sharp, and they keep their sharpness. Be very careful with these knives. Regarding the issue of needing to dry these after washing them. Yes that is correct. Now they don't rust, and really the tarnishing is very slight should you leave them wet (and will clean off with barkeepers helper, the same thing you use on Calphalon pans, available at Walmart for $1.50). You can't put good knives in a dish washer anyway, it is no big deal to give them a wipe. Just be careful not to cut yourself. However, one must understand that there is an inverse relation between sharpness/durability of edge, and "stainless" quality. These knives use a alloy that finds a balance between not rusting, and still being easy to sharpen to a fine edge, keeping a good edge for a long time. I personally will take sharper knives, and take 5 seconds to wipe them and put them away immediately. I don't think you can find knives of better quality at this price.

Cuisinart Review Only a so-so toaster, but great at other features!
I've owned the Cuisinart TOB-175b for a while can report its only so-so at making toast, however, having said that, most toaster ovens are only so-so or worst at making toast. If all you want is to make toast, then a toaster oven isn't for you and a regular toaster only is the way to go. Nevertheless, this is a very good appliance. I've used the oven to cook with and the convection bake feature is excellent. If there's one fault to the item it is the timer feature for the oven. It will signal the end of time by beeping, but does not shut off the oven! But, for re-heating food, cooking small amounts of food better than a mircowave can, with less energy use than a full sized oven, it cannot be beat. Expensive, yes, but for me at least, worth it.

Cuisinart Review chef-approved
A great little tool for the novice or serious cook. Even heating, good looks, and simplicity of operation. As a chef for 28 years, I can attest to it's durability and integrity. A note for those of you who wave off the dangers of microwaves: they ALL leak radiation, and they ALL turn your food into carcinogens, while destoying any nutritional value it may have had. You may as well eat a roof shingle. THROW THEM IN THE GARBAGE!!

Cuisinart Review GREAT UNIT
I was a bit hesitant about buying a hundred dollar (plus) toaster oven but the reviews were great and I was sick and tired of the junk I have had in the past.
The Cuisinart TOB-165 Convection Toaster Oven/Broiler is a fantastic unit. Everything I have used it for has come out perfect.
I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a toaster over. It is well worth the extra money.

Cuisinart Review Happy Newcomer to Food Processors
*****
I have never had a food processor before, thinking that they take too much time for the effort involved in using them. Nevertheless, I purchased my Cuisinart 14-cup brushed chrome model DFP-14BC based on recommendations from Amazon, and LOVE it!

It is very, very easy to use. It comes with a DVD which I watched and replayed pertinent sections to make sure that I understood how to use it. There are also recipes on the DVD, but I was watching it just to figure out how to use the appliance and how not to hurt myself.

I like the locking mechanism feature. I have used my Cuisinart 14-cup brushed chrome model DFP-14BC about 10 times. Sometimes when I'd go to use it, it would not engage or turn on---this was because I had done something wrong or unsafe and I was GLAD that it didn't work. I am getting the hang of it and am very glad that it has the level of safety that it does.

I debated between buying this model or an inexpensive ($50 or so) model. I am glad that I purchased the Cuisinart DFP-14BC because it is easy to learn to use, easy to use, easy to clean, and I know that I will have it for a while, as opposed to an inexpensive model that would perform in a limited fashion and then be discarded in a few years.

It looks beautiful on my countertop when I'm not using it. I bought a wicker basket that I keep the attachments in out-of-sight so that the appliance stands on its own as a permanent fixture in my kitchen. It is beautiful, quiet, easy to use, and great for a beginner like me. I am quite pleased with this purchase!

Cuisinart Review If you are considering this, just do it. You won't be sorry!
I purchased this a while back to replace a different model that was almost 25 years old . I am so pleased with this purchase. It is everything that I expected it to be and more.

Even though I primarily cook for a two-person household I purchased the 14-cup model. I have not had any problem with the machine being too large to perform the tasks I needed it to handle. The machine is large enough to make white bean dip from one pound of dry white beans without exceeding its capacity. I have also used the machine to make 2 pounds of whole-wheat pasta dough with room to spare. It is also nice to make large batches of base for gazpacho.

I love the size and heft of this machine. It is nice to not be concerned about exceeding the machines capacity or mechanical limit.

I highly recommend this machine to anyone that loves to cook. Once you have it, you will find so many uses for it that you had not anticipated. This machine is used at least 5 days a week in my home.

Cuisinart Review after 3 years not pleased
I was so excited with the pans when I first bought them (as it came with tons of promises and hype) but after three years of use I'm quiet disappointed. At first I thought it was my fault. I tried to baby the pots as much as I could but nothing worked (I followed the instructions very well). Everything burns when I use them especially the frypans / skillets burns stuff right away. They are very hard to clean (believe me I tried). If you want quality stuff try All Clad or Faberware (if you want something cheaper) but stay away from this set.

Cuisinart Review decent cookware
Ups:
-They are decent pans, looks great when you first take them out.
-They are sturdy and I use metal utensils to cook, I like that.
-The attached aluminum plate in the bottom helps spread and retain heat, if your stove isn't that powerful.

Downs:
-I like to sear and stir fry a lot with hot pans, so they will discolor a little with heat. Overheated oil will cause black oil spots on the pan that are hard to remove.
-You need the pan to be hot so that it doesn't stick, and you will need to use a little more oil than typical. If you don't do either of these, your non-greasy food WILL stick to the pan.
-The aluminum plate takes some time to heat up.
-The aluminum plate reduces the responsiveness of "lowering the flames" on your stove. Less control.

What this set needs:
Large Pan
Non-stick omlette pan
Wok
