Works great!...until it broke.I bought this as a gift for my roommate, who drinks a lot of wine. She said it was wonderful...it worked well...no leaks...convenient...great gift...and then it broke. It lasted over a year. For under $8 I still think it was a great gift. I think I will buy her another one and see if it is more durable. I'll let ya'll know what happens next year.
wine sealerthis is great...much easier than trying to cram cork back in the bottle.
Works great! This wine sealer works great! I bought two of them and use them all the time.

Okay for a while...This worked really well when I first got it, but it seems as though it gets harder and harder to use as time goes by, almost as if it's wearing out. And it's not when you insert the corkscrew into the wine, it's when you try to pull the cork out - it's almost impossible now. So, bottom line is - it will work for maybe a year or two but then you'll need another, which to me isn't acceptable for the price I paid.
wine openersWorks better than the Rabbit but still requires a little stength on some corks. Very good on most bottles.
Amazing feat of mechanical engineeringI have two of these, the Brookstone (expensive) and the Houdini (1/3rd the cost). Both work exceptionally well. The Brookstone is all metal, and will certainly outlive me; the Houdini has some polycarbonate parts, which is why I gave it four of five stars, but feels pretty solid. The remarkable thing is how easily they work -- two flips of the lever and the cork pops right out. Another flip and the cork falls off the screw. This thing really does work.

For the budding wine collectorMetrokane's Houdidin Expandable Wine Racks could not be easier to use and they offer one so much flexibility as they can be configured to fit a wide array of spaces. This is a great option for those just starting out in wine, those short on space, and those not yet ready (or who don't have the $$$) to commit to a permanent cellar. This would also be a great gift for newlyweds along with a couple of bottles of wine.
The material of these expandable racks is strong and highly durable so have no worries and start having fun building your own specialty wine rack.

Easy to use! This is my first wine rack, and I have enjoyed the simplicity of it. The bottles stay very stable, and I like knowing that I can order more to expand my collection. I also like the flexibility of being able to put the wine rack any where.
An elegantly simple wine rack. This little wine rack, which can turn into a big wine rack if you buy more pieces, is just about as slick as it gets. Good looking, high tech, efficient. I just wish I could buy more.

Spiral screw replacement availabilityGood unit to use if you have strong hands and arms. Spiral worm has worn out (after 200 openings)and cannot find a new one. No response from Metrokane. Can anyone help?
overpricedattractive but hardly worth the selling price. It doesn't release the cork as well as claimed.
Amazingly simpleThis cork screw is the easiest I have every used. I bought one for myself about 5 years ago. Recently I had some difficulty removing the corks and noticed that the rubber grip had torn. Metrokane replaced the unit for a shipping charge of $10, no questions asked. Not bad for a 5 year old cork screw. When a friend of mine mentioned she wanted to try one I couldn't resist buying it for her as a housewarming gift. She loves hers as well.
The only challenge with this products is that it is not obvious when the screw wears. The unit becomes difficult to use which makes you think the unit is wearing out when the problem is likely the screw. It is coated with teflon so you must be careful to remove the foil or wax on the top of the bottle. Apparently this will significantly shorten the life of the screw (no wonder the first one wore out so fast) But, the screw is easy to replace and does last a while if cared for properly.
Great product, great value!

excellent, large shakerI love the large size of this shaker- when I am entertaining and I have freinds over for dinner, I'm able to make drinks for ALL of us at one time. The pieces are easy to take apart and I do not need to worry about spilling.
It's a keeper! This shaker is definately a keeper! Solid, sleek, and bigger than many at 28-ounces, I can mix for a group instead of individually.
A better martini shakerThis shaker won Cook's Illustrated test of martini shakers late in 2005, just before the Christmas season. Branded as a Target shaker, it was out of stock before you could click "buy." I finally figured out it was the Metrokane Bullet and ordered it asap. It *does* live up to the hype, on one factor alone. It doesn't drip or spill when pouring. Yes, it's stainless steel, it's elegant (if not a little too phallic for some,) it's large enough to mix two *good sized* martinis, and...so what? Each of the other 5 cocktail shakers I've owned had these things going for them (but with more traditional tapered profiles.) But they all leaked when I removed the top/jigger measure from the body of the shaker. The Metrokane is one of the few shakers that has the lid fit inside the neck of the main shaker, so that it is easily removed to pour without any liquid loss or mess. All parts are well made and fit, but are easily detached for cleaning or refilling.
So long as the shape doesn't bother you, this is the best martini shaker no doubt. Cheers!

Good ProductThe Rabbit works great. Just make sure you line up the lip of wine bottle with groove in Rabbit top. Works every time.
Wine-o who loves this opener! This wine opener is wonderful! I have used many openers since I began drinking wine and this by far is the easiest one I have ever put my hands on. In 2 seconds the bottle is uncorked - it's that easy! And wow - for the price??? How can you beat that? I highly recommend this product!

Nice product. This is a manually operated product that does require some strength and is a bit jerky to operate. The handle could be better designed but it is more annoying than prohibitive. A heavier base would be nice but regardless you would have to hold it in place.
I didn't actually measure the two sizes of chips I'll take their word that there is a size difference (I couldn't tell the difference). I was able to crush a tray of standard cubes in 2-3 batches.
This is a compact, atttactive relatively inexpensive product that does a good job crushing ice as long as you are looking to crush small amounts at a time.
Works a whole lot better than trying to smash cubes in a zip lock bag with my meat tenderizer!

Perfect for pregnant women!I LOVE this ice crusher!! Being pregnant I live on ice chips. I have spent many of months crushing ice with a meat tenderizer in plastic baggies. Wish I would have found this sooner. It makes the PERFECT size for crunching! And it's SO easy to do! I don't find it hard to spin the handle at all. It might get stuck on a piece of ice, but twist it the opposite way and then go again and it's easy as pie! I do use store bought rounded ice cubes, so not sure how it would work with the square homemade ones.
The only downfall is the metal cup tends to slip a bit, so I wish there would be a gripper on the bottom, but it's no huge deal.

Looking for excellent results? Look no further.Received product yesterday and haved used it four times already. This little machine is quality through and through. It is made with sturdy, solid metal parts. No junky plastic that self destucts after two days. I want everyone to note as previous reviewers have mentioned, this ice crusher requires a good amount of strength--it is not for everyone. The handle must be turned with a good deal of force, or as some would say, some good old fashioned elbow grease. It will sometimes jam & seem to be stuck, but all that needs to be done to remedy that problem is reverse the handle in the other direction for a split second to loosen the piece of ice. I personally put my hand on the top of the machine after I feed about 3 cubes into it. After about 10 seconds, presto!! perfectly crushed ice. I must confess, I am a muncher too. The ice comes out the perfect size for munching, as well as cooling off your tall iced tea in seconds. I believe this machine will last for years and is well worth purchasing. I love the stylish look of it too. One last tip--don't waste your hard earned money on the automatic or electric ice crushers--they are useless, aggravating & make mush, not crushed ice. I learned that the hard way. I highly recommend this product. Enjoy!!

Simple, EasyThis tool is far superior to any standard wine bottle opener. Highly recommended.
A Vital Piece of EquipmentWhether you're having wine for a small dinner or for a large party, the Rabbit is what you want. I saw one being used by a friend, and bought one on his recommendation. I'm glad I did.
Other reviewers comment on the ease of use, and they're right: the very first time using it only took 5 seconds to figure out and open the bottle. The simplicity makes you wonder why it took hundreds of years to create -- and compliments from others seeing the device is a nice bonus!
The kit comes with other nice tools -- the foil cutter, too, is a necessity. I'm just surprised I don't yet see this everywhere wine is served!

Easiest corkscrew ever!!!I could *not* believe my eyes the first time I saw someone use a Rabbit. I've shredded SO many corks and even broken bottles trying to get corks out. I've tried so many different kinds of corkscrews (and the two-pronged non-screw-type cork-pullers), and I've been all kinds of frustrated. I'm a big and strong guy, and I've still been frustrated at how hard some corkscrews are to use.
Enter the Rabbit. It's hard to visualize from the picture, but it is SUPER-EASY, once you figure it out.
1) Flip the top over, away from the cork, raising the screw (sometimes called the "worm")
2) Place the two handles on either side of the bottle-neck, positioning the tip of the worm over the cork.
3) Squeeze the handles together to hold the bottle.
4) Bring the top handle up and over, which pushes the worm into the cork -- so easy you can't believe it.
5) Take the top handle back to where it started, and the cork is out! No muss, no fuss, no cuss!
Removing the cork from the worm is just as easy:
6) Bring the top handle back over, as if to put the cork back in the bottle, only without the bottle there.
7) Squeeze the side handles around/on the cork.
8) Bring the top handle back away to remove the worm, while holding the cork with the side handles.
Okay, the ad says "3 seconds". I put closer to five seconds, plus ten more to remove the cork. This is the easiest and best corkscrew I've ever used, and I'd say it's WELL worth the price. The "gift set" is nice, but personally, I don't think it's worth the extra price compared to just the Rabbit without the gift set. I do, however, recommend the Metrokane "Save-the-Wine" Vacuum Pump.
Oh, one more thing -- I've heard other people say that it doesn't work well on the new plastic-style "corks", but I haven't had any problems. It works great on them for me.
