Ok, cmon now. It's a whisk and works well. I own MANY oxo products and am pleased with almost all their products. They all perform their function well and with style. And they are also very comfortable to use thanks to the famous oxo nonslip rubber handle. Seems very sturdily made and have had absolutley no problems. I would hihgly reccommend.

I purchased this whisk as a birthday present for my sister. She loved it so much she had me order several more for her to give as Christmas presents this coming December. Talk about being ahead of the game!

Oxo has done it again! This whisk is really great for making sauces and melting chocolate. It gets into all the corners and does an outstanding job of whisking ingredients into a smooth velvety paste with limited effort.

I used this grater last night for the first time with some pasta and was amazed at the quantity of cheese it produced in just a couple of strokes. I've always found something to dislike about cheese graters, such as cleaning them or the way you have to hold them when grating, but so far I can't find any faults with this design.

The grater has a surprising amount of heft that's concentrated in the handle. The grating surface does not feel flimsy, although I did notice some deflection if you press hard enough on it. The amount of deflection seems reasonable and normal. The grater is very rigid. The grating surface is separate from the handle, but it's held in place by several small tabs on the reverse side -- it's not going anywhere. The reverse side of the grating surface is clean and doesn't provide any place for grated cheese to get stuck. The handle's material is the same type of rubber found on other OXO products, and I found the diameter of the handle to fit my hand perfectly.

The grating surface consists of what look like little tubes that run parallel to the handle. This has two benefits. The first is that you grate on both the downstroke and the upstroke. It's really amazing how much quicker I can grate now and how much cheese comes out. The second benefit is that it's really easy to clean this grater: just wipe across the grating surface (i.e.: across, not up and down). No grated sponge!

The end of the grater is rubber for traction when resting the end of the grater on a plate, but I had no problem with just holding the grater over the plate. The cheese fell in a predictable pattern -- over my pasta and not all over the table, even with some vigorous grating.

Yes, this is an expensive grater. But if you're like me and appreciate well-made, quality tools, this is one you should add to your kitchen. It does one job, does it well, and is easy to clean up afterwards. That last part is key, because I hate cleaning up. With this grater I can just rinse it off, hang it up, and forget about it until next time.

This is a great sponge brush - for right-handed people! The sponge twists off when you use it in a counter-clockwise direction, as lefties are apt to do, so I really can't use it.

The description says that all you have to do to refill it is to twist the sponge. That's true, but to actually get more detergent into the handle, you also have to remove the sponge. So once you twist it, it comes away from the handle. For lefties like me this means a waste of time and detergent as well as a lot of annoyance.

I emailed Oxo about this a month or so ago and never even received an acknowledgement. It's not an expensive item, so I'm ok with having spent the money, but I am very disappointed in Oxo's lack of response.

So if you're right-handed, go for it. It's a nice kitchen tool. If you're a lefty, keep looking!


I emailed Oxo recently and - after a second try - got a response that the item has been retooled. I'll update this review again after I use it.

This is a convenient tool for washing hand dishes. Adding soap is easy. Its adequate sponge size, and comfortable handle make it nice to use even with lots of dishes.

I love grilled corn or any kind of corn on the ear. But holding it and burning my fingers, that isn't fun.

This work. They are functional. They clean up good.

Actually zero stars. It doesn't give the right temperature. It showed 250 when temperature of fat for fried chicken was 350 according to Taylor Instant Read Digital Thermometer. I just threw it in the garbage. This is a terrible product. Shame on Oxo for distributing it. Their products are usually excellent.

I usually like Oxo products, but this one is a real loser. Not only does it not give accurate readings (which in itself should deem it useless, being that it is a THERMOMETER after all) but there are other features that further enhance its horrible design. First of all, the "handy" (so they claim) spin dial that allows you to set the temperature that you want to reach, is so flimsy that the slightest movement of the thermometer throws the dial off. Useless. Secondly, after only one handwashing, water seeped under the dial face which is impossible to get out. The water then turns to steam which fogs up the display so you can't even read its inaccurate readings. 2 weeks later there is STILL steam under the dial. Useless again. And to pour salt on my already stinging wound, I had emailed Oxo to inquire about how to return this item and get a refund weeks ago, but they have yet to respond to me, even though on the package it states that satisfaction is 100 percent guaranteed. Well, I am NOT a satisfied customer and if my second attempt to reach them proves fruitless once again, then I doubt I will ever purchase another Oxo product again, no matter how good they are. It pains me to even give this product one star, as a product that's utterly useless deserves no star at all. Oxo should be ashamed of themselves. Thanks for allowing me to vent my 2 cents.

Way off target. Said 350 degrees when in reality it was almost 500. Doesnt work.

This spoon isn't very comfortable. It seems too long or overbalanced and feels odd. It works as promised, though.

This is an excellent cooking spoon. Long and very light weight, the oval perforated bowl is large and the handle is comfortable to hold. According to the OXO website, the spoon is heat resistant to 400 degrees; not the 250 degrees as shown in the product description above.

A slotted spoon is a must-have with vegetables. I like how OXO is nice enough that you can use it as serve ware for a casual dinner. The slots separate the juices and the veggies, so you don't have a soggy plate.

When I thought of OXO I though of great grips. Nice soft quality weighty feel. When I got this corkscrew I was shocked to find out that it was flimsy black plastic. Looks like OXO in the picture but it is nothing more then cheap plastic bits. OXO degraded their name with this product.

This product is garbage. I bought it for the OXO name, but I will never do that again. During a dinner party, the plastic split right near the top, and exposed the metal rod that attaches the screw to the plastic mechanism. The corkscrew would not work after this piece broke. (Note: the corkscrew broke after a total of less than 10 corks were removed in approximately 3 months...not heavy use by any standards. Wish I'd kept my receipt.)

I also had the same problem other reviewers had with the wings not allowing for any room to grasp the top of the bottle.

Moral of the story: Buy an all metal winged corkscrew. >$5 at most grocery stores.

I recommend this item for anyone who enjoys wine, but doesn't have the manual ability to deal with the hard to use all-metal corkscrew gadgets. I appreciate the easy grip on the top and the way the screw part doesn't jam with the cork.

I initially was introduced to the OXO Good Grips line through a family member with Multiple Sclerosis. The Good Grips products seemed to be the only thing she could easily use and that would not break easily when dropped. I quickly learned, however, that the line of products is not limited to use by folks with dexterity issues and have since fallen in kitchen love with my various OXO food gadgets.

I guess technically they're "crafted from solid beech wood" as the ad states, but they're not carved from a single piece of wood as it implies. (They're actually made from several pieces of wood glued together.) I ordered a total of ten utensils (two of each of the five sizes/styles) and eight of the ten pieces split along the glue lines after the first use. (They were washed by hand, not in the dishwasher.) I was very surprised because OXO is a reputable brand, and I've purchased their products many times before and never had a problem or complaint. These have a great look and feel to them, but they're not very useful for cooking.
