Not worth the money!!
Great idea, but not with these spices
The best grinder mechanism on the market--at any price!1) Grind whole spices. It seems simple, but a lot of [costly] grinders do a terrible job of grinding. They might look good on the table or in the kitchen, but who cares if you're getting chunks of unground pepper in your salad?
2) Clean up. I use my OXO grinders in the kitchen for cooking. They get dirty and one of my pet peeves with most grinders is that it's impossible to keep them clean. OXO did a marvelous job making sure they used materials and a design that actually promoted cleaning.
3) Adjust fineness quickly and easily. Without question, these grinders have the smartest adjustment I've ever used. And the mechanism is ceramic, so it will not wear out like plastic or some soft metals.
4) Good looks. Frankly, I bought my first set of OXO grinders because they looked cooler than anything else on the shelf. Is that important? Well, yes. I now have a collection of about 25 of these grinders in full view in my kitchen and it is a source of pride that I have such a great looking grinder set.
5) Reasonable price. When you consider the high quality of the spices included with OXO grinders, they're an absolute bargain for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these, because they (not the spices) will last for a good, long time and you'll get many times' your investment out of them in pure enjoyment and aesthetic value.
OXO grinders are superb and deserve all the good press they're getting. I highly recommend them!

Not worth the money! The concept of only needing one grinder for four different spices is a good one but the product does not meet expectations. Examples: The product description states that you can select the measurements you need, tsp, tsp etc. The measurements are not accurate nor does it state how many times you need twist to get that amount. My second example is that to take the grinder attachment off of the glass base is a bit frustrating. You always end up with a lot of the last spice you used in the grinder, so you waste the spices when you shake it over the garbage can trying to remove it.
I have a similar product to this that is a white ceramic grinder with a glass base. You buy them with out the spices but they have never let me down. You also know that the spices are fresh. My recommendation is that you look at other products before purchasing the OXO Grind It set.

Great product, bad price
OXO grinders are the best on the market - AWESOME!1) Grind whole spices. It seems simple, but a lot of expensive grinders do a terrible job of grinding. They might look good on the table or in the kitchen, but who cares if you're getting chunks of unground pepper in your salad?

Kookin' Kondiment SetLike everything else designed by OXO the design is an improvement on existing kitchen tools. I priced the spices in my grocery store and found that this set is comparable to buying the spices without the grinder. So it's a bonus to have all the spices and the grinder in one package.

- Set consists of grinder and four 3-1/2-inch-high jars
- Jars come filled with European, Latin, Asian, and peppercorn blends
- Durable ceramic grinder won't corrode; adjusts for coarse-to-fine grind

Good design and price; poor qualityThe first item I tried is nutmeg granules. I had already partially ground the nutmeg pieces in a blender jar, but it wasn't finely ground enough; when I tried to use this grinder on the nutmeg, absolutely nothing came out; it all just got gummed up in the mechanism inside.
So I tried good old trusty peppercorns after washing (wait, it was actually very difficult to get all the nutmeg pieces out of the grinder mechanism, I had to "knock" them out, but still didn't get it all). The first couple grinds of peppercorns went smoothly enough, you can adjust the coarseness rather easily and there is a good range on that; so in essence the grinder mechanism worked to my expectations; however, the next time I used it, as I began grinding pepper onto the food, the whole top came off (as its supposed to when you're REFILLING it) and dumped peppercorns into my food.
Ever since, the top of the grinder jar has not fit tightly enough onto the jar, and I have to pay very close attention to making sure they both stay intact. Very poor/cheap design in my opinion.
they never sent this

Pretty much sucksSadly the pepper grinder is pretty terrible. It also fell apart on me, spilling peppercorns everywhere. Sure am glad I have wood floors so they could go shooting under every possible appliance.
That was when it was grinding, at least. Only a few months in and with light usage it just doesn't grind anything anymore. The peppercorns don't seem to make it into the grinding area except for maybe one every 30 or 40 seconds.
Fan of Oxo, But Not These1. Pepper grinder falls apart. These mills have the grinding mechanism on top. You turn them over and grind. Problem is, the 2 piece peppermill is so flimsy that twice now in 2 months, after grinding and trying to shake off the excess, the mill has fallen apart covering my plate, table, and floor with peppercorns. The mechanism that holds the 2 pieces together just snaps in place and is very insecure.
2. Top covers which must be removed. Being top grinders, there is a plastic cover which covers the unsightly grinding mechanism when not in use. The problem is, these are not flip top as they should be, they must be removed with 2 hands prior to each use. This is not very efficient. You can leave the covers off, but they are not exactly objects d'art that way.
3. Difficult to control salt amount. The grinding mechanism of the peppermill works just fine, however the salt mill dumps a pile'o'salt with each grind. It is very difficult to modulate the amount dispensed. I think this is a problem with salt mills in general because salt is a difficult thing to grind evenly. Just be forewarned, use this to apply salt while cooking, not to anything on a plate.
I think OXO has work to do on these before they are up to par with their other products.
