This bread box is well worth the price. It is attractive as well as functional. The roll top has a delightfully smooth motion, and you don't have to worry about needing increased space to open it up. Mine sits under cabinets, so that is a concern. It takes up no more room open than closed. I'm very glad I spent a little extra to get a high quality product.

This breadbox is both stylish, modern and elegant. The lid raises smoothly with the feeling that it is weighted (since it's constructed of sturdy stainless steel) and the opaque section of the curved lid adds even more to its good looks. The handle is modern and sleek and is attached to the stainless lower section of the lid below the opaque section. It also has enough capacity to hold several items without crowding and its size is not at all unwieldy like most breadboxes. It has 4 very small rubber feet on the botton so it will not scratch surfaces and the weight is perfect I had been looking a very long time for a stylish breadbox and had failed until now. I couldn't have been happier at finding it. I have received several compliments and those people have shown interest in buying one also. I first saw this item when on vacation in Ireland and tried to obtain it on the WMF website when I returned home. I had difficulty navigating the website as it was in German so I entered "stainless steel breadbox" on Google and was directed to Amazon.com directly to the product I was searching for!

Attaching this decanter to its stand is like trying to solve a Rubik's puzzle. The solution is rather less graceful, however, and I think I came within a hair of shattering the thing into a million pieces -- it did get scratched. Recalling the metaphysical injunction against disturbing a solved Rubik's Cube, I intend to keep my decanter and stand attached forevermore.

Once assembled, the unit has almost the ideal design for its purpose. The angle at which the stand holds the decanter leaves ample space for a candle underneath to highlight sediment when pouring. This angle and the shape of the neck and mouth prevent any splashing outside the decanter unless one pours very vigorously. (Unfortunately, however, the decanter is prone to dripping when poured from.) The most pleasant aspect of the design is that the arc of the neck manages to keep all traces of sediment in the decanter through to the very last drops of wine.

The price is right because the decanter is glass rather than lead crystal. Although it is thicker and perhaps less elegant, this appears a wise alternative given concerns that have been credibly raised about beverages leeching lead from prolonged contact with lead crystal.

I purchased this item last christmas and have used it to airate many red wines. I have had no issues with the decanture being delicate. Infact we machine wash it after each use. The only issue I have had is when we first recieved the decanture we had difficulty placing the dacanture in the stand correctly. Other than that it is a wonderfully stylish piece of glassware when not being used and a quality redwine decanture.

I've had this decanter for about 10 months now and have used it regularly, 3-4 times per week. I was initially concerned about assembly, due to the other reviews, but I found it to be quite easy. Took me about 30 seconds. I gave one to a buddy and he also had no problem. Just don't rush it.

I really like the handle on the decanter - makes pouring particularly easy. And the price is great. The biggest problem I have is that after pouring, 1 drop of wine always dribbles down the outside of the decanter. Don't know if other decanters have this problem. Also, you should try to find a way to invert it after washing to dry out so it doesn't leave any minerals in the bottom.

The shaker looks good, big and heavy in hand. However, since Amazon does not state the manufacture origin, WE all assume that this shaker is made in Germany, like most other WMF items. However, it is MADE in CHINA. So, if you are particular about the country of origin, please pay attention!

This shaker is finely crafted and looks great. No leaks while shaking and the parts are not too tight and hard to get apart like some have said. The shaker has a brushed stainless steel look, which is not as shiny as the picture on the Amazon photo or the photo on the box. Overall a great product.

Don't waste your time on cheaper brands. This shaker will stand the test of time. Unlike other reviewers, my shaker is not too tight at all, though I imagine freezing it would make it hard to pull apart. You can't go wrong here. ZH

For many years, I thought there's no difference between letting wine breathe in the bottle instead of in a carafe. I even thought it was more elegant to leave the wine in the bottle so people can read the label. So it takes longer... but you know, the carafe really makes a difference. Even if you let it breathe for only a few minutes, wines seem fuller, less tanic.

What looks like the exact same shape carafe is sold by Pottery Barn for 50% more money and that one is molded glass from Turkey. Nothing wrong with molded glass, the wine doesn't know the difference between cheap glass and fine crystal. This item by WMF might be manufactured by the same people, but its being less expensive means you can buy an extra little something.

I love this carafe and so do my husband and their wine collecting and wine making friends.

This decanter is amazing (I have now bought three). It is large enough for a 750ml bottle of wine when used properly, and will easily hold twice that if letting the wine breathe isn't your thing. It is stylish, and makes a lovely addition to the table or bar area.

Great Decanter: not expensive, pretty and useful for developing great aromas and flavors hidden in a wine. It's true that not all wines should be decanted, but for the ones that should be, it's terrific!

As the item was a present from a wedding registry, I would love to know whether it found its way to the newly weds ... Is there any possibility of sending an e-mail saying "the item/present you purchased has been delivered today" ?!

This is the solution. Since I am not very responsible about turning the bottles in my wine collection, there is often some sediment with which to deal. I don't really want to serve my guests "chewy" wine, and this funnel/strainer solves that problem with great style. You'll love how it pours down the side of the decanter. The strainer and funnel are two separate pieces, making cleaning up a snap.

Up until now, I thought this type of thing was for the wine snobs, of which I am not. Even for those cheap $7 bottles of wine, this really does make a big difference in the taste of the wine. I highly recommend it.

This is a sturdy masher that makes short work of potatoes. I wished it were a little less expensive, but it does its job well and looks like it will last a long time. I like the round mashers better than the wire versions because they reach the edges of the pan more completely.

The glass is quite fragile. I had two break.

Tired of those metal cocktail shakers where the top refuses to open when you go to clean it? The vacuum that occurs with the metal variety has happened to us on every model we've tried. The Boston Cocktail Shaker does not have this problem. We had no difficulty whatsoever with a tight seal on the first try and have had no leakage problems. The only drawback (very minor) is that the measurement lines do not go all the way to the bottom of the glass. So if you're measuring out small quantities of liquor, you still need to use a jigger. Other than that, it is very easy to use and clean. Top rating for this bar helper!

What is nice about this shaker is simplicity. You can easily find Boston shakers at stores, but most of them (especially cheap ones) have recipes printed on the glass. That printing is nothing more than nuisance if you have your own recipe. (Ignoring them and finding graduated scale in semi-darkness is not easy!) This shaker has 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 fl. oz. marks and 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, and 300 ml marks. No confusing clutters.

The inner diameter of the glass part is 3-1/4" which is pretty much standard. You can check if your strainer fits the glass before you buy it. The Amazon review saying "strainer to fit the base" is misleading because Hawthorn strainers (spring coil padded strainer) are usually used with the glass part, which sits atop the stainless steel base while being shaken.

The construction and the material of the shaker is excellent. The fitting of the base and the glass is pretty good. The fit usually improves as you use them.

If you are looking for your first shaker, the decision you make first is whether to buy a standard, traditional shaker or a Boston shaker. The standard shaker is easier to use (little risk of fluid leak if you get a decent one) but they are not as quick operating as Boston shakers. The strainer built into the top part of standard shakers takes somre work to wash after making juice based drinks. Boston shakers, on the other hand, requires good practice in fitting the glass to minimize the fluid leak, but it is very easy to wash (simply rinse the pieces under the faucet and stir the strainer in a small bucket of water and then rinse). Also, most Boston shakers use graduated glass part while few standard shakers have fluid measure built in, meaning you have to measure the fluid before mixing in.

A good shaker can be used for purposes other than mixing drinks. For example, you can make salad dressings in them.

but I don't think this spatula is worth the $14.99 I paid for it. It is not "non stick" for me, even my eggs stick to it. It's not the right angle for me - the little lip at the front is annoying and I just found a spatula shaped exactly the same at target and they called it a "fish turner." Anyhow, I'm still on the search for a spatula I love as much as my old one...that they don't make anymore, of course! I would not buy this spatula.

Everybody and their cousin makes these things for use in non-stick cookware, and my wife and I must have bought them all in a desperate effort to find one with the right balance of flex and stiffness that really can get under foods (even delicate fish filets) and, yet, not stick to the food or damage the pan. Lots of them LOOK good, and SHOULD work, but they don't (in a fit of frustration with eggs, my wife tried and sequentially THREW AWAY every one of them we had about a week ago). So, I read the reviews here and bought both types that WMF makes, and, well, this is as good as it gets. Silicone is heat resistant but it isn't stiff enough for a good spatula for this purpose, so, YES, you do have to be careful to not leave THESE sitting in a HOT pan. So, buy these and throw those others away.

This is a nice turner. Well made and sturdy. Good for getting under such things as burgers. I'm sure it will last many years.

Beautiful and weighty, this set is beautiful to behold but ergonomically disasterous. The slippery design, coupled with the weight, easily slips out of your hand. While the slim orthogonal lines are eleagant, it is difficult to grip and use, especially when balancing several things (e.g., utensils, plate, cup) at once. The weight of the utensil lies in the handle (rather than evenly distributed or at the center). The kids have a difficult time handling it and consequently hate using it.

The German manufacturer's Web site supplied the information missing from
Amazon--and it showed the list price given on Amazon to be no exaggeration.
I cannot praise this flatware too highly, quite apart from the unbelievably low
price. The Finnish design is beautiful; it fits the hand nicely; and the quality of
manufacture is very high, as one would expect from this venerable company.

This set should please anyone who is looking for a very stylish, modern looking flatware with very high quality stainless steel.
