Indispensible
Love the 8-inch Omelet PanThere is also a certain sound that seems to be unique to these pans. The food not only cooks well, it sounds good while it is cooking. Yeah, that sounds strange, but you will see what I mean. These pans just have a touch of class to them that is unequalled.
The tri-ply stainless construction includes an aluminum core. It is meticulously crafted and the pan sits flat and doesn't move, even on the flat cooktops. The heat distribution is great.
Flared Rim and sloped sides perfect for omelets or sauting
Stay Cool Handle - very impressive, didn't even get warm
100% dishwasher safe
This pan is also oven safe to 450 degrees, however they don't recommend you use this for broiler use as it will damage the nonstick surface of the pan.
I was skeptical because on a flat cooking surface, many pans will actually start spinning. This pan just sat there and that was impressive.
The base is completely flat and that is the beauty. You would be amazed at how many pans are not completely flat.
Covered by a lifetime Warranty so they will repair or replace any item that is found to be defective.
The Nonstick Calphalon Cookware is a real favorite for frying because nothing sticks!
Made this cook smile!

nice pansYou should read the directions for maintenance of the pans though. Don't use metal spatulas or non-stick cooking spray with the pans. Also, don't put them in the dishwasher.

Essential for small kitchens with minimal cupboard storageThis rack totally transforms a small kitchen with limited cupboard storage capabilities into the kind of kitchen everyone wants - tidy, good-looking (the rack material is the same as the pots themselves!) and everything is easily accessible. Our rack hangs over our sink and end window, which is perfect. No one bumps their head and wet pots and pans can air dry right over the sink, which saves us time with having to dishtowel-dry them.
This is the only recangular rack that Calphalon currenty offers, and is the second largest available here on Amazon (shorter by 20"!). There are several others (all oval) available in the 18" width, as opposed to this one with a 20" width (same length: 36"). So, use your best discretion and choose the one that works best in your space. Some tips to best maximize your usage of this rack: utilize the cross beams for storage of cookie sheets and other fairly flat, lightweight items, try to balance the weight of your pans evenly around the rack, and purchase additional hooks as necessary (less pot-to-pot contact will help keep those pots looking great).
Enjoy!
Larger Rectangular Hanging Pot RackWhen one mounts this rack from a ceiling, using the included chains, it helps to use a Zircon studfinder to locate ceiling studs, which are usually 16 inches apart. Next, one can use an electric drill to make starter holes, and then install large eyebolts or screwhooks into the studs. One can use either 2 or 4 eyebolts or screwhooks, depending on how heavy the items on your rack will be. (There are other ways to accomplish this task, but I am only saying how I did it!) Then one can hang the chains on the hooks or use large "s" hooks to connect the chains to the eyebolts. The pot rack should be hanging level at this point.
Now one can begin to add Calphalon pots, pans, accessories, and other items to the pot rack. Place hanging hooks evenly around the rack. (I used more single, double, and spacesaving hooks added to the 4 single hooks that come with this rack.) Place cookware on the rack one item at a time, alternating ends, so that the rack stays balanced, and be careful not to exceed the weight limits, as specified by Calphalon. I love to use my rack for French roasters and roasting racks, omelette pans, stockpots and steamer inserts, lots of long-handled utensils, a large old blackened wok, and several antique French and Italian specialty items. I place things on top of the crossbeams of the rack, too, such as the bamboo steamer inserts and top for the wok. Have fun with organizing this pot rack!

Nice balanced weight, but made in CHINA!I have a set of Henckels "International" Pro knives which I bought at Costco for about $150. The Henckels went dull very quickly. I looked at the blade, "Made in Spain". OK, now I know better -- only buy steel made in Japan or Germany.
So, I bought these Calphalon's based on the great reviews and the German steel in the advertisement here on Amazon.
Here's the revelation -- upon examining these knives, they are clearly stamped, "Made in CHINA. German Steel"
I'm not sure if I should feel good about these or not. Time will tell, but I wanted to stay away from products made in China and thought that I was getting a German product.
Having used them today, I can say that despite being made in China, they are very balanced and have an excellent weight to them. I found my hand subconciously and very naturally gripping around the neck of the handle, bolster, and blade and using the weight of the blade to chop down, something like how I'd use a cleaver.
I'm waiting to see how the German steel holds up on these Chinese knives, but so far so good. Minus 1 star for the misleading origin of these.
