good pan, bad handle
A great little pan from Cuisinart! This is a great little pan for small recipes that don't really require the bulk of a large saute or sauteuse pan. Perfect for making small recipes of sauce, pasta dishes, shrimp scampi, or chicken cacciatore. Never burns or scorches. Delivers everything promised and more. Easy to clean, even after really messy concoctions. The price is right, so what more could you want? This would also be a great pan to buy to *try out* the MultiClad line. It is versatile and functional, and is sure to make you fall in love with the whole MultiClad line.

Excellent Pots From CuisinartI own virtually all of the MultiClad pieces, and have found each of them to be a terrific alternative to the more expensive All-Clad. This Windsor pan has excellent heating properties and comfortable handles. Balance is excellent, and makes using the pan a joy. I have found that the pans heat uniformly, and no hot spots form during cooking. The sloping sides make the job of whisking or vigorous stirring much easier. The brushed exterior doesn't show scratches, but the lid might if not taken care of properly. The vacuum seal formed during the cooking process is great for many types of food, and speaks to the perfect fit between the pot and the lid. Cleanup is very easy. Even sticky messes, such as melted caramel or pralines, clean up easily with a quick soak in hot soapy water. No need to use harsh abrasives! And for heaven's sake, don't use steel wool on these great pans. There's no need! Also, one should never place a HOT pan (of any type) into cold water, so always makes sure that the pan (if still hot from use) is placed in *hot* water for soaking. Overall, I am very happy with this line of cookware. I did have a problem with a 12.5-inch MultiClad Braiser pan I ordered. The lid was ill-fitting (warped) when it arrived, and it has been sent to Cuisinart for a replacement. I don't know if this happened at the factory or during shipping. Time will tell if Cuisinart will back up the warranty. You can read my review of the MultiClad 12.5-inch Braiser Pan to find out. I will post that review (if) and when I get a replacement from Cuisinart.
Nice for the priceI jumped on this pot...we have only usedit once to cook rice. It turned
out some of the best rice we ever cooked. It washed easily also...
We used it to make candy-fudge,peanut brittle and pralines. Fantastic how it heats evenly all over!!

Great Cookware!!I purchased this skillet along with 4 other pieces of Cuisinart Multiclad cookware (was cheaper than purchasing by the set!) and I could not be happier!! I really wanted All-Clad, but it was out of my price range. I can't imagine it could be any better than this. I've been cooking on Calphalon Commercial for several years now, and I must admit that I like the Multiclad much better than the Calphalon.
The first thing I did when I got the 10" skillet was cook an egg just to see how stick resistant the pan really was. WOW! That egg slid around my skillet better than on any non-stick I've ever used. Just be sure to use the right technique when cooking on this stuff: follow the directions - don't cook on high!
I started off with a dry pan on my electric flat-top on #4 (med). You know the pan is perfectly preheated when water droplets "dance" across the bottom of the pan. If they stand and sizzle - not hot enough. If they immediately evaporate - too hot. I gave the pan a quick spray of Pam, then added the egg. Perfect!!
Since then, I've cooked more than just eggs on all my pieces. Using this stuff is so much fun. I already enjoyed cooking, but now I LOOK FORWARD TO IT!
Oh yeah, and it looks great in my kitchen :-)

great cookwaregreat cookware. stove top or oven, this skillet can handle the job.
Excellent Cookware!I purchased the 10 inch skillet and the 1.5 quart saucepan. They were the cheaper of all the pieces to experiment with. My only regret is I wish I had purchased a complete set. You can't go wrong with the Cuisinart Multi-Clad cookware. The pan cleans exceptionally easy. I also own a 8 inch skillet by All-Clad, I really can't tell the difference except the Cuisinart is much cheaper. Don't forget the handle stays cool!

Le Creuset Is More DurableI received a set of these as a gift. I already have Le Creuset ramekins.
The glaze on my Cuisinart ramekins already has cracks. The funny thing is I've only used them to serve dips, nuts and dried fruits. I've used my Le Creuset ramekins for serving and for baking. I've never had any problem with the Le Creuset ramekins cracking. I hand wash, so this is not a dishwasher issue.
On the plus side, the Cuisinart ramekins are attractive with a traditional smooth finish and the color is vivid. Also, the ramekins are readily stacked and easily stored.
I recommend spending the additional money for Le Creuset.

A little too narrow...'Cook's Illustrated' claims the ideal Ramekin should be 4" wide in order to enjoy the toasted sugar effect of 'crme brle'. These pretty ones are 3" wide. I am not certain about the cracking issue raised. These claim to be microwave and dishwasher safe.
No problems with these for meThe glaze on my ramekins aren't cracking. I also hand-wash. I got the red ones and BOY! are they red! Very pretty color and very striking on the table serving anything from a creme brulee, grated cheese, to olives. Very pretty next to white plates. They take the oven and freezer well, and are easy to clean.
Highly recommended and worth the money.

Scratch and DentUnit just arrived and it seems to be a nice roaster with the exception of 3, sharp dents on the inside of the lid that extrude to bumps on the outside of the lid.
No wonder these are going for such a good price. Apparently they are scratch and dent stock that should be listed as such. I'm not up for the task of the return and replace process.
Love This Pan!I bought this pan a few months ago based solely on the Cuisinart reputation. I was a bit surprised that it was so thin and light but it hasn't affected the way it cooks. I have used it for everything from a half ham to a gigantic lasagne and have had wonderful results each and every time. If you're looking for a good roasting pan, I recommend this one.
pretty darn good!I needed a roaster but found none with a cover in two major stores so decided to order online. I found this quickly here on amazon, and the price is pretty darn good!
I read all the reviews and own this item for 3 weeks, and used it 4 times. Here's how I think it sizes up:
DRAWBACKS:
1-the only drawback I read about was that the rack rusts, and this is very true. I decided to buy the item anyway, as I really needed a roasting pan and didn't think I needed the rack. It is very dangerous to eat rust so I am surprised and disappointed in Cuisinart for this. The rust does wash right off, and I still do use the rack. I'd just recommend removing it promptly after cooking.
2-i did not see anyone mention that the handles are connected to the non stick bottom and POKE THROUGH TO THE INSIDE. This is a design that I avoid when buying any pot/pan because it makes it harder or impossible to clean. It is so far no problem to clean.

I love this pan as do the other reviewers. The size is perfect (I roast two large, whole chickens with lotsa veggies around) the non-stick works great, the weight is great, and heats VERY evenly. The cover is domed which is perfect for roasting as you start out with a big buncha meat which shrinks as it cooks.
I would, despite the drawbacks, buy this again, and if I ever need a bigger one for a turkey I'll be getting the larger sized one for sure.

Love the CirculonI bought this pan along with another Circulon pan last year. It has held up so well, it still looks brand new. Clean up is a breeze, nothing sticks to this pan! Loved it so much I bought it for my parents, who also love it. Amazon has such great prices on Circulon, as my other cookwear wears out I'm replacing with Circulon!
You won't be disapointed with this pan!

What's for dinner?A couple of months ago I needed a pan of this size/type. When I began shopping for one I was overwhelmed with the number of different products available. So, I decided to use Amazon's "Product Reviews" to help in my search (a great resource, I think) and, based on what I read, I decided to give this pan a try. I am DELIGHTED with my choice. I wanted something (A) easy to clean (2) nonstick (3) reasonably priced -- I got all that and more. I have added a couple of more Circulon pieces to my kitchen recently and I will certainly add more.
Our most used panExcellent pan -- If we could afford it, we'd replace all our [bad] pans with Circulon today. This thing is incredibly easy to clean -- nothing sticks to it! Wow, buy it already!

It is a shame that the handle designer might have been using a Korean handle design because I have not seen this handle used by Cuisinart before. I was clearly disappointed.
