FANTASTICI love this cookware. We are in the service and my household goods got stuck so I got on Amazon and ordered Emerilware's Stainless 10 pc cookware set. It is well worth the money, clean up is easy I love it, I am so glad I made the choice for this. I suggest you replace your cookware, you will be glad you did.
Not worth even half the price!First, I don't care about hot handles. Handles get hot when you cook...use a hotpad, and get over it! Nor do I care about post-cook clean up resulting in a brand new, out of the box shine. These are work utensils, so some wear is expected.
Here's what I DO care about: perfomance. And though I've only had the set a week or so, the perfomance is lousy! I'm not a master chef by any stretch, but have cooked for years....both on stainless and non-stick. I've made scrambled eggs (admittedly, never an easy clean-up); sauted mushrooms; and even reheated an already prepared batch of sausage and peppers on my new Emerilware stainless. It was this last item that convinced me that I bought overpriced crappe....though, when new, it a least looks nice (hence 2 stars, not one).
I used the lowest heat possible on the sausage dish, tended the pot the full time (maybe 5 minutes) I cooked, turning constantly, and did coat the pan used with oil. No matter....the food burned, and the pan wound up with massive ugly black stains. I put warm soapy water in the pan (per directions that came with set), and later cleaned with Barkeepers Friend. I eventually (a half hour, and half a container of BKF later) got the pan clean, but this is NOT what I paid $200 (set of 10) for!
As far as I'm concerned, the set doesn't perform well at all; is extremely difficult to clean...and I mean just "clean," not restore to the original out-of-the-box finish; and is difficult to handle (bottom heavy).
I'm dealing with All-Clad now to get some resolution on this. If that doesn't work, these wind up in the garbage. From all I've heard (and even tried a few times myself...borrowed), this junk is NOT All-Clad....I don't care what name is on the box.
I'll be needing some new stainless pieces, and next time either go with the real deal All-Clad, or save myself a few bucks and get more Cuisinart Classic pieces. I strongly suggest you do the same....Emerilware does NOT cut it!

Great CookwareI love this cookware...they have been really great to cook with and have transformed cooking with an old junky stove into a great cooking experience. The cookware distributes heat fabulously and since my burners are old and don't heat up all that well, I haven't had any problems in over heating the cookware. I love them and can't believe I have cooked all these years on tephlon! I have had the cookware for 6 weeks! Love Love Love!

Poor browning compared to higher-quality panAdequate pan with lackluster browning. I prefer my All-Clad.
EmerilwareSo far I am very happy with the Emerilware that I purchased, I have had no problems with it.
Emeril's extras make cooking more enjoyableThis cookware is easy to use and even easier to clean. It's also stylish enough for display. It is manufactured by All-Clad which is one of the top companies for quality and performance. I especially like the extras that Emeril added to his signature line. The thumb indentations on the handles make the pans easy to lift. The lip around the edges allow easy pouring without spilling down the side. The glass-lids make it easy to see how your food is cooking without having to open the lid and let heat escape. The second handle on the saute pan was a nice surprise. The outside coating is scratch-resistant. The set is light-weight, and the handles stay fairly cool. I am not a gourmet cook, although I would like to expand my skills using this set. I am your average, everyday cook - a working wife who prefers no-fuss meals after a long day at work. So far I have used my set for stir-fry, pan-fry, eggs and pancakes. I can report consistent browning all-over and no burnt-on mess to clean-up. Even my husband noticed how much better my cooking tastes now!

Good cooking, but...This pan works well for cooking purposes. Its heavy bottom stores and distributes heat well, and it seems like it will hold up well over time.
Flaws: the edges of the pan are not rolled. They are extremely sharp and will slice your cupboards if you don't retrieve it carefully. They can cut your hand during washing. The "copper" layer in the base of the piece is actually brass with a thin copper coloring that will be removed after several washings.
These caveats notwithstanding, the pan is, for the price, a good utensil.

EmerilwareThis is one of the best frypans I have ever used, and I have been cooking for over 45years. No it is not non-stick, but if you heat it up first and then add a little oil it works great. Cleanup is easy, I am a little fussy with my pans so I do use some stainless steel cleaner each time so it keeps looking like brandnew. My next purchase will be the saute pan!
Another fine Emerilware panAfter delightful success with the Emerilware Stainless 3-Quart Saut Pan (you can read my review of that pan, too), I decided to purchase a second piece of Emerilware Stainless cookware. What prompted me to buy the 12-inch fry pan was the purchase and use of the the cookbook "Cover & Bake (A Best Recipe Classics)". The editors of that book recommend a fry pan for many of their dishes. The Emerilware Stainless fry pan is every bit as good as its saut pan 'sister'. It cooks foods beautifully, and clean-up is surprisingly easy. I do recommend using a stainless steel polish to remove the heat discoloration marks on the pan's interior. A fantastic value for a pan you will use regularly, and keep for a lifetime.

Great item, extremely flexible!I just ordered this item because I was sick of not being able to make a rue in my new nonstick Emeril pans since I didn't have a wisk like this. Well, am I ever sold on these Emeril products! This thing is fantastic! It's extremely flexible and bendable so you get these really light and airy rues or whatever else you may be making. I'm so glad I FINALLY got one of these - this thing sure has made life a bunch easier in my house. Highly Recommend!
Great to use with your non-stick cookware.I just recieved this a few days ago, and it really works great. I purchased this for using with my non-stick cookware, and it works like a dream. I made Alfredo sauce, and it thoroughly mixed everything with no problems, and the cheese didn't stick at all. Great item, as well as product line...

Good value - but not too practical for some 3 qt pansThis steamer works great in the 3 qt. cassarole pan of the 10-piece set, but I'm afraid to use it in the 3 qt. saut pan - that would allow only about 1" of water or less in the pan. The steamer is very deep, which is nice, but I'd rather seen it not so deep so I could have a bit more water in the bottom. I've never boiled a pan dry using a steamer, but I've come close. What's nice is that once you get the water boiling (of course leaving the lid on so it does so quickly), you can turn down the heat quite low, almost down to a simmer, and still get a good amount of steam.

better to season yourself the finish on this pan is very rough, like sandpaper . i do not like it for that reason . the plus is it's sq size . this is a size that is better for 2 people many pans are for larger size families . i would not reccomend this witout feeling it in perso in a store .
Grills great! This grill pan made my turkey burgers taste as though I had grilled them outdoors.
Excellent pan for grillingI went through about three non-stick, very expensive pans from the major players, and every time the story was the same. I would really like the pan until I used it about six or seven times, then the non-stick coating would wear off and they would stick like mad. This is because proper grilling can only be done under high heat, in a preheated pan. Doing this to a non-stick pan heats it up well past its tolerances, and destroys the coating.
So finally I tried a cast iron grill pan from Lodge. It was excellent, and took to high heat well. It is pretty hard to clean, the food sticks a bit, and the grill marks are not as crisp as I would like. Still, it was much better than anything aluminum.
When I saw this one, I decided to try it since I like my other Emeril pans. It is even better than my other one. Interesting, as I strongly suspect these Emeril pans are also made by Lodge. The little tweaks he made to the pan are well thought out. The ridges are tapered such that they almost come to a point. The result is clear sear lines with no sticking. It is also heavier than my other pan, so it holds heat better, and has much higher sides to help contain spatters.
There is one thing to be aware of, however. This pan is smaller than its Lodge counterpart, so it is well suited to grilling for two or three (even if the things you are making are large). If you are doing more than that, it'll get a little tight in there. I keep my Lodge pan around for the times I need more cooking space, but I can see this one is going to get a lot more use as normally I do two things at a time anyway.
The first time you use it, spray it lightly with cooking spray oil inside and out, then put it on a high heat burner until it smokes. Turn the burner off and let it cool off on the burner slowly by itself. This will help season it a bit (even though it is preseasoned) and make sure that you won't get any sticking the first time you use it.
If you are even thinking of experimenting with grilling, get this pan and give it a try.

annoyedI bought this pan due to the reviews and the price. I cant understand the praise. Everything sticks.I used butter and I used oil to no avail. To be fair, I am accustomed to nonstick pans thus the 1 star. However, all I want to do is make eggs and not worry about a detailed cleanup. I have no use for this pan and it is in the garbage.
Product image doesn't make the real productthe pan in image looks bigger than the real pan I got.
Excellent Pan!I use Calphalon commercial hard anodized and wanted to try out stainless steel. This pan seemed the ideal way to do it, given the price and the manufacturing pedigree (All-Clad). The first time I used it I fried ham and scrambled eggs in it using less than 2 Tbsp of butter. Very little stuck to it, and clean up was about as easy as a non-stick pan. Use a Dobie pad as recommended and you'll have no problems. I won't trade my Calphalon for stainless, but having said that, it looks great, heats evenly, and cooks like a champ. Well worth the $20. Give it a try and leave the Wear-Ever non-stick behind.
