These are cheaper pans as everyone has said, but I want to explain why I think so.

When I cooked with them on a higher heat, they warped. They can't go back now. Even if I only use them on medium or lower, they are warped for good. :(

Also, the non stick coating seemed to have come off after a few washes, and its on but things stick to it a lot more now. I'm ready to toss these and I haven't even had them that long.

You're better off spending a little more and getting something you can use a lot longer!

You get what you pay for here. The skillets are very cheaply made, very light and don't last long. You're better off buying $2.99 pans at Walmart.

I've read several negative reviews on this cookware, but my
comments are these: If you're the type who likes to turn the heat
up on HIGH, do NOT buy them. Further, don't turn the heat up on
high for any teflon coated cookware. Do NOT use metal utensils
like turners, spatulas, forks, etc with these or ANY teflon
coated pans. They will damage the coating and it won't be long
before you have ruined the cookware. These are a cook's dream!
Lightweight, and nothing like heavy iron skillets from grandma's
day. You will need just a little oil or PAM. The food you're
cooking just slides off the pan. Easy cleaning, just wipe with a
paper towel or wash CAREFULLY. Do NOT use brushes or scrubbers
with these pans. I'll compare the weight of these with the
old-time steel frying pans. They were lightweight and I love to
use them for cooking eggs. The difference is that these will NOT
rust and are quite easy to clean. Don't have any plastic
utensils? Go to your nearest Dollar Store. Get every type of
turner, spoon, fork etc. you can think of. By the way, I own one
of the heavy stainless steel saute pans with aluminum bottom.
This pan will cause you to sprain your wrist in no time. ;D

First the plastic top broke off at 6 months. Then it stopped working at 9.

I have one word: Junk.

We have had the 12-cup percolator for three months now and have had no problems. Great flavored, really hot coffee is ready for us every morning when we get up. We've used drip makers for years and no matter what quality coffee, it all tasted the same. With the percolator, we really taste the difference between just okay coffee and really good coffee. The only (minor) drawback is that the bell icon that lets you know you've set the timer is very small. Once you get used to that, there are no negatives to this coffee maker.

This is wonderful. Ready first thing in the morning. Stays hot , the n turns off after 2 hours.

Not the quality I hoped for -- and the "whistle" is more like a hiss than anything else

I didn't need anything fancy but this works just fine and I got it on sale. It whistles loudly. I think this teakettle was a great buy.

It has a beautiful stainless finish, and I love the fact that it whistles, so I don't have to go check and see how close it is to being ready. I expected to pay quite a bit more, I am glad I thought to check Amazon. As similar items were much more expensive at other sites.

This cover works very well. Seals in moisture, but allows you to see what's cooking, and fits my 12" Farberware perfectly.

Fits the 12" skillet I ordered it for like a glove.. Also, two other cookware items. Great value.

I bought his lid for my Analon 12" pan, and it fits it like a glove. I use it frequently and it always performs well. I just throw it in the dishwasher for a quick clean up.

I bought this because I needed a fairly large skillet for occasional use

Pros:
Good price. Heavy, large and deep. Able to cook large 1 skillet meals and large quantities of vegetables with no problems. Cleans up easily.

Cons:
I feel the plastic handle is too thin and unsubstantial for the weight of the skillet. For me, the "helper handle" is a bit cumbersome and would have been better with a thicker stronger handle. Scrambled eggs and cheese stuck on the "Non-stick" surface, even with butter/cooking spray, but I have not had that much of a problem with much else.

For the money, it is a pretty decent skillet. If you decide to buy this, you may want to go even lighter than plastic utensils they suggest and pick up some softer heat resistant (silicone)spatulas.

I am totally happy with the service and the skillet. I purchased it because I like making 1 pan meals and this fry pan is perfect.

I can't believe how nice the skillet is for the money. I love Farberware and am used to paying way more for their products. This skillet is a great size for a family of 5. Love it!

I bought this set of cookware based on reviews here on Amazon.com by other customers. I am a real amateur when it comes to cooking but I like this set. I am learning that when cooking with these pots and pans you do not need to keep the flame on high! That will make it that much more difficult to clean them afterwards.

Just love this set of pots and pans. I have Wolfgang puck and I truly like these better. I can actualy fry an egg with a teaspoon of margerine and flip it like nonstick. You just have to heat the pan first but use medium heat then heat your margerine until sizzeling and add your egg. To test the pans I even scrambled the egg when I flipped it and it will slide out just like nonstick. I love deep sides on the sauce pans, and the feel of the handels very good if your grip isn't so great. I have fibromylgia and sometimes I can't grip well or lift heavy items. These are just the ticket not flimsy but not to heavy. They clean beautifuly just use alittle bar keepers friend if you get a bad stick, or starch starts to build up. Just remember to turn down the heat when cooking and you will be fine. I also don't use metal utenciles I like the silicone ones.

I got this set after my husband and I decided to get rid of all our non-stick stuff that we got for our wedding six years ago (some people think it's totally toxic and others think it's really ok if you use it right-- we just decided better safe than sorry). After much research we settled on the Farberware Millennium (recommended by Cook's Illustrated and other sources). Amazon is the only place we could find this set. It has the most pieces and the ones you want. We ordered a set from Cooking.com, but returned it when it didn't have a decent size saucepan. I have been using this set for a couple of months now and couldn't be happier. I was a little worried about the cleaning when going to stainless from non-stick, but it's been no problem. Anything that sticks comes off with dishwashing soap, hot water, and baking soda.

I placed this order on Sept.25 it's now Oct.30 and I still have not received it. It was to be a birthday present for my mother inlaw whose birthday was Oct.10 This the third order from Amazon that this has happened to my wife or myself all shipped Super Saver with USPS. I believe I will find another online source for my shopping.

If you're hesitating to get one of these because the price is low at a current special of $15. (thus it can't possibly be of good quality, n'est ce pas?) well, be rest assured that is not the case. Ours has been going strong for several years now and works like a charm ;-)

How many times do you really need a double boiler? My guess is not too often but, then again, when you DO need one, it's nice to know it's in the pantry. Hey, at $15., it's kinda hard to pass up.

THE NAME SAYS IT ALL

After cooking eggs this morning and having a layer of egg stuck to the whole pan, I'm sad to say that my non-stick pan sticks. We've had this pan for maybe 8 months and I just assumed that pans lasted for several years. We even bought this pan plus the 8" for my mother-in-law for Christmas. What a disappointment. Better begin research on a new pan...and I'll make sure to read the reviews.

When I first bought this pan I was replacing a pan from a moderately priced set from Costco. That pan lasted about 3 years and I got my money's worth.

The positive review from America's Test Kitchen is what pointed me in this direction. The Farberware pan was a joy to use when I first bought it and I loved the even heat. All of the positive comments are accurate at first.

The problem is it only lasted 3 months before it lost it's nonstick properties almost completely. I never used spray on oil or subjected it to high heat. I was always very meticilous about the way I cleaned it and never touched the surface with anything but plastic. I even bought a special soft plastic cleaning brush so as to be very delicate with the surface.

I have been using nonstick skillets since they first came out many years ago. With the exception of one ultra cheapo model I have NEVER had a nonstick that had its nonstick go bad so quickly. Of course I can send this back to Farberware but it seems clear that if it has lost it's nonstick properties they only have to say it was my fault. Why waste $10 in shipping costs? This is my last Farberware product.

After writing this first part of the review I thought it would only be fair to email Farberware to let them respond. After doing some googling I have found that there is no email. It is also basically impossible to get someone on the phone. They sold their warranty service to a different company, All American Lighting in Berwick, PA. As it turns out this company gets terrible feedback for their service. If this isn't really Farberware what exactly is their incentive to provide good service? You can check on consumeraffairs dot com and other places and you'll get an eyeful. BUYER BEWARE!

The first 3 weeks using this pan was great, nothing stuck to it. I even was able to brown meat in it and the pan made a decent fond. Then i noticed a nick in the nonstick surface. I have never used anything besides wood and rubber utensils in the pan, so i know it was not me. I am going to see if i can return it; must be a manufacturers defect.

I recently purchased this and feel I got a good deal. The set is made from a popular, reputable company and the price was great - $89.99. I didn't realize it came with a simple utensil set, which made for an excellent surprise! The holes in the lids are very useful in draining. This would be perfect as a house warming gift or as a first timer's set. :)

They are very good and they last a long time my greatgrand mother had left me two set of pans by farberware and before my long search for a good set of pots that wasnt to expensive.
I was thinking of other bands but I had remember that I had those two pans under my sink and they where in good condition and they cook great when I cooked with them food never stuck to the pans and they where easy to clean so decided to get the same band of pots there great and I love them.

I broke the forbidden rule of buying cookware for my wife on her birthday. I was tired of hearing her complain about how everything burns in some of her other pans. So I went out on a limb and prayed that I wouldn't be sleeping in the garage. When she opened her gift she was actually excited! So far it has been a nice addition and I haven't heard one complaint. This is a nice set of cookware for a very reasonable price and would recommend it to others.
