Working AgainI love kitchen gadgets. This broken mixer (Broke after two uses) was handed down to me so that I could use the accessories. I took the mixer apart to find a stripped worm gear (the only non-metal gear). It was going to cost about $100 to get it fixed. I ordered the part and did the job myself for $22.95. It works great now!
Owned for about 6 years, recommend more powerI've had mine for about 6 years and no trouble so far. If I had to do it all over again, I would have gotten a 400 or 500 watt model however. At 300, this is fine for making dough or light - medium mixing but I tried one time to mix a batch of meatloaf consisting of about 2lb of ground beef. I was using the flat beater as the manual indicates but it sounded like it was really straining. I won't try that again.
The quality of the mixer is great and it's very sturdy. My advice is to really think about what the flat beater will be pushing around in the bowl though before choosing this particular model. The dough hook isn't really an issue since it has a lot less surface area.

The last mixer you will ever buyI have owned my KitchenAid stand mixer for over 8 years and have had no problems with it whatsoever. This mixer is so great. I use whenever I can. It actually makes baking fun. Years ago I used to use my moms old Sunbeam mixer and whenever I tired to make a recipe that had a batter that was very thick it would slow the mixer down and sometimes it would stop on me. Not with the KitchenAid. I have had no slowdowns whatsoever. Even with the thickest dough and batters the KitchenAid never gives me any trouble. This is an appliance that you can leave on your countertop all the time because it looks great and you can pretty much get it in any color you want to match your kitchen. So, if you are in the market for a stand mixer and want to get your moneys worth then look no further. This is the mixer for you.

If You Must Have a Plastic/Poly Board, this is a good one.If You Must Have a Plastic/Poly Board, this is a good one. I don't think that plastic is a good of a material for a truely great cutting board, but it does have it's unique advantages. This board has a built-in non-slip feature, which is very handy. If it didn't you'd have to place a towel or a non-slip pad/mat underneath it. Not a big deal. It's a good average size if prepping for 1 person. I would say that it would be on the small side if prepping a meal for 2. 18 x 12 would be the absolute minimum if prepping meals for 2, in my opinion. I say this too because I like to chop an ingredient and them move it over to the side to chop my second to third ingredients - having a larger rectangular board allows me to do this easier. This board is functional, easy to clean, easy to store and I would use it in addition to my main wood cutting boards.
Some important things to know about plastic cutting boards though. Do some research and know what to expect as far as bacteria goes. Yes, plastic is more sanitary than wood, but not once it's knife scarred. The "more sanitary" claim of plastic greatly goes downhill once it's knife scarred. After it's been badly knife scarred, you will have to replace it. Wood has a true natural antimicrobial agent built in, it will last for many, many years with proper care. Plastic cannot make this claim because once it's knife scored, there's no turning back. You will be able to see those knife scars as they will turn dark - that's filled with bacteria. At this point, scrubbing it with soap will clean it as thoroughly as brushing your teeth - meaning, it does nothing for what's inside those knife scars, same way that brushing your teeth does not get what's between your teeth. Soaking it in bleach will not get to the bacteria because of the vacuum effect - the same concept illustrated when you stick a straw into blue colored water, plug up the top to create a vacuum, then move the straw into another container filled with red colored water. Just as long as you maintain that vacuum, the liquid in the red water will never mix with the blue in the straw unless if there was some way for you to force that red water into the straw as well. You will see evidence in "stained knife scars". What do you think are those stains? It's food particles that have been shoved into the board by the knife, this thin cut is plenty large enough for bacteria to start growing and living in, while too tiny to sanitize. Why is it that over time, those stains start getting darker? I believe bacteria growth is the answer. So once it's badly knife scarred, toss it. How soon will this be? Well, that would depend on you and how often you've been using it, etc. You can can certainly slow this with proper care, so yes, scrub it with antibacteria soap and bleach it every once in a while - then just keep an eye on it and replace it when it's too bad.

great cutting boardthis cutting board is such an improvement over my last cheap old ones. This doesn't slip when I am using it and the best part is that is appears (so far) to not stain after cutting on it. I love the blue accents, it matches my kitchen.
Best cutting board I've ever owned!Something I had not thought of but turned out to be a pleasant surprise is that when you stow it by leaning it against the wall the rubber ends allow it to stand up like that without slipping down across the countertop. Little things mean a lot! I had no trouble with the sticky residue left by the label - having been forewarned by all the kind Amazon reviewers I had my aerosol can of "OOPS" standing by and got the offending stuff off right away. I use this cutting board every day and it is grand.

Set doesn't live up to KitchenAid standards.I got a set just like this as a Christmas gift two years ago. I'm a fan of KitchenAid, and I have a lot of appliances and gadgets from them, but this particular set was a disappointment... maybe I just got a "lemon".
Within less than 6 months of use the nonstick coating on both pans started to chip off, forming a couple of unsightly "holes" on the surface of the pans, leaving me wondering if my family is ingesting tiny pieces of that coating with pancakes and omelets... The pans have never gone in the dishwasher (even though it says "dishwasher safe"), and I only use wooden and silicone spatulas with them. I ended up throwing the two pans away shortly after, since I didn't have a receipt or keep the warranty paperwork for it. The saut pan, while still in use and with the nonstick coating intact, got warped after about a year, balancing itself on one middle point on my flat top range... On the positive side, the pots are still fine, but I don't use them much, the handles are very comfortable and the color adds to a cheerful kitchen.
Bottom line, it's a nice "pretty" set, but if you plan to actually cook in it, I would not recommend it based on the experience I had with it.

Kitchenaid QualityI love Kitchenaid, I buy everything except their appliances. I also have a red set of stainless cookware and bought this nonstick set because their are complimentary and can share lids. The color is great and I have not had any problems with Kitchenaid cookware in the past. The handles stay cool and the set seems very sturdy. I doubt I will have any problems as I only use plastic utensils and hand wash only. The nonstick is very nice and seems to be much higher quality than my previous TFal set.
I love KITCHENAID!I bought an eight inch skillet a few months ago and fell in love with it! So I decided to buy this set. It was the cheapest place I could find it and it had free shipping. CAN'T BEAT THAT! They are the easiest to clean and nothing absolutely nothing sticks to it! Buy them you won't regret it!

finally....a spatula that egg doesn't stick to! great in the dishwasher. best spatula i've ever owned.
Works great!I bought this because my regular spatula melted when I used it to make scrambled eggs. When I tried using other utensils (e.g., wooden spoons, the big plastic spatulas meant to turn burgers and steaks), the egg would end up sticking to the utensil, even after washing in the dishwasher. So I was very happy to find that the KitchenAid spatula didn't melt, and cooked egg doesn't stick to it. Considering its price, it's a true bargain.
Best Scraper Spatula!Look no further! This is yet again another superb silicone spatula by KitchenAid. The large handle makes it easy to get a firm grip on it when you are stirring or scraping. The silicone spatula is flexible but not flimsy. It will not melt or fray and it couldn't be easier to clean. Don't bother trying to lick the bowl because you won't miss a drop of anything with this spatula. Very Highly recommended! A+!

I like these cookies sheets.I have three of these cookies sheets. 1 large and 2 small. I use one of the small ones in the camper and the other two at home. Some things stick, but not everything. Easy to clean and sturdy.
KitchenAid 15" & 17" Slider Cookie SheetsAn excellent product and makes it so easy to slide cookies off once they have baked.
How can a cookie pan be made any better!A great idea to slope 1 side. Use for many other things other than cookies. Use to slide a side of salmon off the grill.

country of manufactureAmazon lists the country of manufacture as the USA. The information is false. I called to confirm and discovered that Kitchen Aid manufactures this product in China, a country that floods the world market with products manufactured in forced labor camps. Moreover, given the cost of labor in China, it seems that Kitchen Aid charges a PREMIUM for this product. Braun, on the other hand, manufactures their hand mixers in Spain--a country with laws against slave labor.
Could be betterI have enjoyed my mixer being lightweight, quiet, easy to clean, and the slow-start feature is great. However the beater locks wear out prematurely and it is IMP0SSIBLE to buy parts to fix it. Kitchenaid would rather sell you another one at $70 than sell you a part to fix it for $2 or $3. And yes I have checked many, many web sites and the beater locks are not available there either. The reviews on the web indicate that the Cuisinart is heavier duty. I think I'll try that one.
It's fabulous!I do a lot of baking during the holidays and I had just gotten fed up with my other mixer. I researched and found this mixer, thinking the 7-speed would be just right, not too much power as the 9-speed might be, and not too little power as the 3- or 5-speed might be. So, I bought it as my gift to myself. I've used it a couple times so far this year and I love the low speed mix feature where it does not throw the dry ingredients out of the bowl when first mixing. The beaters are delicate enough to handle a thin mix while the speeds give it enough power to handle the thicker mixes. Besides, the thinner beaters leave more of the mix in the bowl and less on the beaters when I remove them...something my teenage son doesn't like (he gets to lick them). And the digital display and controls are so easy to use. I absolutely love this mixer and am thrilled with how it pulls the ingredients together for the doughs and frostings so quickly and easily. I highly recommend this product!

Surprised...I thought it was a KtchenaidI've purchased a Kitchenaid blender and food processor this year and since then stocked my kitchen with KA utensils since i equate the Kitchenaid name with high quality. Unfortunately this item like so many other Chinese-made pieces where companies slap their name onto it doesnt stand up. I noticed it was staining where the silicon head met the plastic handle and then a few weeks later a tear developed and then it was gone. This item was 2 weeks old and didnt serve any more strenuous duty than mixing batter or stirring a sauce. I may try the French Made Le Creuset Spatulas next. Ive learned that regardless of the name check on the quality and where it is manufactured.
Buy this- you'll love it! This thing is just fantastic! Nothing scrambles eggs or pushes cake batter like it.
If you have nonstick pots of any sort- you need this. If you ever bake at all you need this. It's the twenty first century better spatula. It moves food around, but it's also a spoon. For soft foods and batters this is a really splendid tool.
It goes in the dishwasher, too. What more do you need?

Clean SweepI have really enjoyed this spoonula. It works well in the mixing bowl and on the stove. It easliy conforms to the interior of any bowl and then jumps in the dishwasher when you're done. I was mixing nuts into as stiff cookie dough and the handle snapped. I called Kitchenaid and with no questions, they sent me a replacement. Kitchenaid has fabulous customer service, which gives me confidence in buying their products.

So I bought her this 4.5 inch model because she has small hands and she absolutely loves it. It is put to use everyday. An excellent buy

A brief commentThis baster is big enough to accomplish most tasks, and it even makes a great costume accessory on Halloween. Except that when I used it as part of my Halloween party costume along with a doctor's lab coat and stethoscope, all the women blushed and left the room. Oh well, maybe next time I'll come as a proctologist.
Terrific Baster! This is another excellent KitchenAid addition! Finally a baster that comes with a cleaning brush! It works like a dream and is a breeze to clean. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. I highly recommend this baster!
