KitchenAid Review New to Juicing
I've had this juicer for about 2 months now. The spigot is not solid in the back and when the juice flow slows down, it has a tendency to leak out the back and out onto the counter between the upper chamber and lower motor sections. At this point, I'm taping the back of my spigot so it appears to be solid to stop all my juice from ending up on the counter.

While making 1 or 2 drinks at a time is easy without having to stop too often to clean the basket, it is very cumbersome when you are trying to get all your juice lined up for a day at the office.

If you're like me and need to stock up for the day and don't have all morning to clean a fiber basket, you may want to consider a different juicer. I intent to keep this one until it burns out and then replace it with a better model. However, if you're only going to juice 1 or 2 glasses at a time, this juicer works well and is easy to operate and clean.

Oh yeah, the Citrus press works like a champ. Although I have a tendency to throw my lemons and limes in with the other vegetables and only use the citrus press for Oranges and Grapefruits.

KitchenAid Review Carrots are not a problem either the pulp makes fantastic carrot bread.
Clean up is messy no matter which machine you buy: I found that if I turn the basket upside down to soak in water for awhile, it helps make for easier clean up. I also saved the cylindrical piece of foam packing that fits over the spindle, and hold that tightly in place when I rinse water thru the machine. The piece of foam keeps excessive water from flowing into the motor housing and allows quick-easy clean up. KitchenAide does make excellent, durable products; quiet and dependable. The only thing that would make this perfect for the gallon juicers would be a pulp extractor port, otherwise for someone like me who just makes a quart of juice at a time, this is not a problem. The pulp that is left behind is moist, not juicy, and to my understanding the only way to get dry pulp is to purchase a very expensive masticating juicer.

KitchenAid Review Excellent juicer
Powerful motor & quiet and it doesn't shake as other viewer said. It extracts almost everything out. For clean up, it's not a smart design part yet. It should be removable the top part out for clean instead of use damp clothes. You can't find other juicer at price $120.00 good as this one.

KitchenAid Review Quality materials, small size.
This skillet is too small, I needed a larger sized skillet. I do love the Kitchen Aid product line, and have always been very happy with other items.

KitchenAid Review the more I use my kitchenaid, the more I hate my all-clad
For some reason (marketing?), the kitchenaid five-ply stainless cookware is being perceived as a tier below the equivalent all-clad. This may be true of the enamel over steel stuff that kitchenaid sells at K-mart, but the five-ply is actually a cut above.

All-clad is three ply, Kitchenaid is five. All-clad has two rivets holding on the handles, Kitchenaid has three. All-clad has weirdly shaped handles that are uncomfortable when lifting large pans and oversized on small ones. Kitchenaid has two different sizes of wide, comfortable handles. All-clad has a straight lip, which makes pouring more difficult, and which also means the exposed aluminum at the top edge of the pan rests against the lid, where water can condense and run back into the food. Kitchenaid has a flared lip, which makes pouring easier, and which keeps the exposed aluminum on the outside of the pan.

My only complaint with my kitchenaid cookware is that the rivets are hard to clean around (which makes this pan less than perfect for crepes), and that the stay-cool handles stay cool enough to drag the pan around on the stovetop, but not cool enough to lift a very hot pan and flip it. The handle also heats up quite thoroughly in the dishwasher (yowch!), and while the instructions with the pan specifically warn about the handles heating up in the oven, the folks at the factory apparently never thought about the dishwasher problem. (All-clad has the same issue).

KitchenAid Review Customers Beware!!!
I have spent thousands of dollar's, On Meyers cookware everthing from KitchenAid, Anolon, Prestige, Faberware, & Circulan, just to name a few. Though Meyers does manufacture very high quality pots & pans and I would recommend them to anyone it's just sad that if you have any problem with them, under warranty, you have to go throught the chain of command, that never gets you anywhere, even if you want to speak with upper management about the rudeness of the customer service department. Their customer service department employees are always very rude and snotty and they act like they are doing you a favor to even talk to you about their products. Don't get me wrong they do make good cookware, probably the best, but you as the consumer are at the mercy of their customer service and their descision or your fait on wheather your life time warranty is honored or not.

KitchenAid Review Best ice cream 'scoop' ever
This is the best ice cream scoop ever (well, "spade"). I've had mine for 2 years now (black version). No matter how cold or hard the icecream/yogurt is, the spade cuts right through. I considered getting the type that has anti-freeze type liquid which supposedly helps. I'm so glad that I got this Kitchen Aid spade - it works far better than any other scoop that I've tried. The handle is perfect as well, and the whole thing is well-balanced.

My mother-in-law has the Kitchen Aid "scoop" version. It's good, but I'd give it 4 stars. If you must have round ice cream balls for an ice cream cone, then you could get that, however the spade works much better for scooping ice cream, cutting through easily and scooping plenty. You could still make a "ball" if you really wanted to with the spade.

Definitely 5+ stars. I'd pay twice as much for it if required.

KitchenAid Review Very good product
It was extremely strong and well made. I like it a lot.

KitchenAid Review Large & Heavy Duty
The materials and workmanship on this item are heirloom quality. The metal is polished to a mirror finish.

This Kitchenaid ice cream spade requires less effort and works better than the Kitchenaid ice cream scoop. I wish the spade had been in the 6-piece gadget set instead of the scoop.

Even the ice cream spade requires a fair amount of force to extract hard frozen ice cream.

This ice cream spade works well, but a circa 1970 Hamilton Beach commercial ice cream scoop requires less effort, extracts more ice cream faster, and produces real scoops instead of shallow slabs. But the Kitchenaid ice cream spade looks very nice. As an added bonus, it could drop a cape buffalo with a single blow.

KitchenAid Review One flaw
These silicone baking dishes are great except for one flaw that can be major or minor depending on your personal use: You can't cut anything in these pans. If you like to make brownies and cut them while they are still in the pan, forget it with these, because the knife will cut right through the pan.

KitchenAid Review Works Great
I bought this before reading the mixed reviews on the many KitchenAid silicone items. I thought about returning it after reading about how food sticks and the plastic smell while cooking. There were other reviews, however, that were just the opposite.

I sprayed the Cake Pan with a non-stick spray pryor to use and the Cake Pan worked beautifully. There was no sticking nor was there any plastic smell. I think the key is the non-stick spray. I believe that the bad reviews related to those not using a non-stick spray - with or without flour.

I cooked Brownies and decided to remove the Brownies from the Cake Pan before cutting. I reduced the rating by one star because I don't think the soft silicone is "knife friendly".

KitchenAid Review Works great
I was hesitant to try this after reading the negative reviews however, I gave it a try and I'm glad I did. I made brownies and they turned out great. No bad smell or stick. I followed the directions of spraying the pan lightly and let them cool before release. They came out without any problems or stick and the pan was very easy to clean up. I will continue to use this a while longer before I invest in the purchase of other pans but I am so tired of spending good money on pans that claim to be nonstick and don't discolor that I just had to give this a try. So far I would recommend this. I will write another review later if I should run into problems and change my mind but so far so good. Hope this helps.

KitchenAid Review Does non-stick refer to the packaging?
Everything sticks to these pans! I cannot get OFF the potato residue and I'm probably just going to throw them away.

They are awkwardly heavy. They do not warp, but they do pop out of shape (this happens when the pans are in the oven and you'll hear a very loud, scary pop).

Just awful.

KitchenAid Review not what I expected
I too have had trouble with cookies sticking to this "no-stick" pan. My biggest issue is that these cookie sheets are quite heavy. I tend to remove from the oven with just 1 hand. Their weight makes that a challenge! If I had arthritis, Carpal Tunnel, or some handicap, these would be quite unmanageable.

KitchenAid Review Makes great cookies...
I love the pan for cookies, but that is all I have used it for. They slide right off; however, the pan is heavy and slightly awkward to handle when hot.

KitchenAid Review Great, but limited by the feed tube
These are great discs for the food processor. They are sharp and work well. The problem is really that the machine they fit has a small feed tube. I e-mailed KitchenAid and asked them to sell a separate replacement lid with a wide-mouth feed tube to really take advantage of the french fry disc, and others. They said they have no plans now to do that but always try to evaluate and meet their customers needs on an ongoing basis.

On the other hand, the french fry disc is great for dicing fruits and vegetables--tomatoes, peppers, onions, strawberries, etc. When you can't just process things because the pieces get too small, this disc is wonderful. The ice/parmesan disc is for harder foods that you would normally grate manually, like ginger or parmesan. Theoretically it would work for lemon zest, too, but I haven't yet worked out how to that well.

The discs are worth getting. But go ahead and E-mail KitchenAid and request they make a replacement lid with wide mouth for your processor. If the feed tube were larger the discs would be even more useful.

KitchenAid Review Awsome!!
I bought this processor about 1 year ago- I did hours of research and this consistently showed up the favorite. I can see why- It is an awsome machine. I use it every day. It does everything it is supposed to- power-baby!!! The blades are SHARP!! (I have sliced myself!!) But thats what we want right?

KitchenAid Review useful discs
I bought these discs for my new 11 cup KitchenAid Food Processor, but was thrilled to find they also fit my 9 cup KitchenAid Food Processor. Had I known that, they would have been purchased long ago! Now there will be double the fun.
