These silicone baking dishes are great except for one flaw that can be major or minor depending on your personal use: You can't cut anything in these pans. If you like to bake something and cut it while it is still in the pan, forget it with these, because the knife will cut right through the pan.

I bought this before reading the mixed reviews on the many KitchenAid silicone items. I thought about returning it after reading about how food sticks and the plastic smell while cooking. There were other reviews, however, that were just the opposite.

I sprayed the Loaf Pan with a non-stick spray pryor to use and the Loaf Pan worked beautifully. There was no sticking nor was there any plastic smell. I think the key is the non-stick spray. I believe that the bad reviews related to those not using a non-stick spray - with or without flour.

I cooked meat loaf and decided to remove the meat loaf from the Loaf Pan before cutting. I reduced the rating by one star because I don't think the soft silicone is "knife friendly".

I'm able to microwave my cake (for 2-3 min, till it rise-up) before put it into the regular oven for 5-10 min. By doing this, it save me a lot of time & energy; now I am able to make the cake in 20min. This is great. But remember, you'll still need the non-stick cooking spray.

These tools are made of high quality materials, and they look very nice. However, the ends of the handles are so thick and heavy that if you leave them propped on the side of a shallow pot or pan, or on the counter, they are very prone to flip out of the container or off of the counter, carrying food with them to the kitchen floor. This happened to me twice while cooking thanksgiving dinner. I will not throw them away, but I would never buy them again.

They are very big, the spoons are very uncomfortable to use, they should have been smaller. and a better grip.

I bought this set for my first apartment. I have all the additional pieces also. They are quite large, but very durable. My mom has always had utensils that would melt and warm and I know I won't have to worry about that with these.

These tools are great, very solid and sturdy, but they almost might be too big and bulky for small dishes. They are definately made for a large casserole and big helpings.

This spoon is pretty large in size. I use it more as a ladle than a spoon. It is great for dipping soups in deep pots than shallow ones. Nothing sticks to it which makes it very easy to clean. This spoon looks great hanging up for display along with the other kitchenaid gadgets that match it.

All of these items are bulkier than they need to be, so it just seems they take up a lot of room in the drawer. I had used the spatula for all sorts of cooking, but I did manage to melt the tip of it while stirring a (probably too hot) skillet (my fault- that didn't affect my star rating, just a warning). My only other complaint is the whisk is so big, there have been a number of times I don't couldn't use it- like whisking just a couple eggs in a small bowl- I had to find a smaller whisk.

These things are great! They are really comfortable to use, they work well and stand the test of time! My Mom always said that Kitchen Aid was the way to go and for once my Mom and I agree on something, lol! And by the way, this price is a steal at Target! Buy it here, the department stores will KILL your wallet!

I like the ease of handling especially the peeler. It is the best one, in ease of using, that I have ever had. Buy it from Traget!!!! Amazon charged me an extra $10.00.

works very well. handle is balanced and fits well in the hands. cuts right through ice cream. excellent product. worth the price for those frozen ice cream buckets that feel like they'll sprain your wrist with every scoop.

Bought one for myself last year, Ordered one for each of the kids this year. You will not find a better tool for the job. The price is reasonable for the quality and utility of the spade.

This is the best ice cream scoop ever (well, "spade"). I've had mine for 2 years now (black version). No matter how cold or hard the icecream/yogurt is, the spade cuts right through. I considered getting the type that has anti-freeze type liquid which supposedly helps. I'm so glad that I got this Kitchen Aid spade - it works far better than any other scoop that I've tried. The handle is perfect as well, and the whole thing is well-balanced.

My mother-in-law has the Kitchen Aid "scoop" version. It's good, but I'd give it 4 stars. If you must have round ice cream balls for an ice cream cone, then you could get that, however the spade works much better for scooping ice cream, cutting through easily and scooping plenty. You could still make a "ball" if you really wanted to with the spade.

Definitely 5+ stars. I'd pay twice as much for it if required.

How come people think kitchen basters, and especially the large-sized turkey basters are so funny? What's the joke? Am I missing something here?
