KitchenAid Review Way Too Large
Buyer beware. I'm a Kitchenaid fan but these tools, while sturdy and elegant, are much too large for normal kitchen pots and pans. The slotted turner dwarfs a 6 or 8 inch frying pan. Likewise the slotted spoon is unusable in less than a four quart saucepan.

KitchenAid Review LOVE this set!
I was a bit worried when I read the reviews about their "large" size. However, I was pleastantly surprised. They are the same size as the other kitchen tools I use. While they are larger than most nylon tools, they are average for most stainless tools. They have a great feel to them and I love the storage crock that comes w/ this set. I highly recommend them.

KitchenAid Review first kitchenaid appliance that is not good.
Very low quality and I am very surprised that Kitchenaid puts its name on this product. I highly DO NOT reccommend this product. I agree with all the other reviews about this product and was in denial until I bought one myself.

KitchenAid Review I like it
I've had mine about two years now. I have actually used the potato french fry cutter on apples. I like the size it cuts the apple pieces in. It requires strength, but my blades haven't broken.

KitchenAid Review I really like this, so I don't get all the bad reviews
I use this all the time for homefries. I find it a tremendous time saver. Yes, it does take a little strength to push through, yes the last potatoe is a little hard to get out, and YES I can get the job done FAST which for busy persons is worth it. So, I really like mine. I dice the onion, saute in a chef's pan with a little olive oil. Peel the potatoes, cut them in half, push them through the cutter, and toss them in the pan and cook unitl done. I think for the price it is worth it.

KitchenAid Review Sturdy - Easy to clean.
Basters are nothing special by definition- but this one is very nice. It feels very sturdy and solid, and the bulb doesn't feel like it's going to break on you ever. The included brush makes clean-up very easy, and it has a large capacity.

KitchenAid Review My kitchen's all-around workhorse.
This is the most versatile pot I own. I'm always astounded at the price of good kitchen items nowadays, but in this case, I will grudgingly admit that it's worth it. The smooth, rounded sides make it good for any kind of sauce, the width allows for corn on the cobs and even those long hot dogs, and the heat distribution is good. The lid fits down into the pan, reducing the amount of water needed. As another reviewer wrote: Kitchen Aid got it right with this one.

KitchenAid Review the shmoo of pans
I bought this saucier after a sugar sauce I was making in a cheaper pan turned to carbon. It does sauces wonderfully well, as I would expect from this Kitchenaid line. It heats evenly, is nicely balanced, and the rounded interior is perfect for a balloon wisk or wooden spoon.

If you're used to a copper saucier or a thinner pan, expect to throw a little extra heat on this one to keep it up to temperature. The pan also has more heat capacity than copper, so for a very delicate egg-based sauce I would still use a double boiler or a real french copper saucier, since taking the pan off heat doesn't immediately take it off boil.

For other stuff it's wonderful - the shape of the pan reduces stock beautifully, the heat capacity and distribution is comparable to my leCreuset soup pots (without the weight), and the Kitchenaid handles and lids are a joy to work with.

Oddly enough, I've also found that the shape is perfect for artichokes - two or three will nestle in the pan without falling over, and the deep-draw lid means you can put a scant inch of water in the pan and gently steam the chokes for a good 20 minutes without the pan going dry.

The blindingly polished convex lid also makes a good makeup or shaving mirror, for those last minute touch-ups before your dinner guests arrive. :-).

KitchenAid Review KitchenAid Cookware is a Good Choice
I initially received the cookware set as a gift from my spouse, and have been slowly adding pieces over time (only at rock-bottom sale prices, found by scrounging online). This amazingly-priced saucier rounds out my cookware nicely. Not only are the KitchenAid cookware beautiful and sturdy, their handles are marvelous - great leverage and length. The thick, flat, curved handles stay balanced in your hand, and don't tilt at inconvenient moments like other thin-handled pans do. They have an Old World feel to them, both in heft and looks, except this is stainless steel. This saucier will be perfect for sauce making and reduction, and braising of smaller pieces of meat, or even making vegetable stock. Once you get used to the heft of the saucier and maneuver it well with one hand, you won't want to go back to the lighter weight pans. You will probably find yourself using this saucier for practically everything, everyday.

KitchenAid Review Good craftsmanship, but small
This ladle is well crafted, and looks quite nice. However, it's smaller than I was expecting. It is about 1/2 the volume of a usualy soup ladle. I guess that's what a serving ladle means, but I didn't know at the time of my order.

It's still the perfect size for scooping up pancake batter, and the spouts adds to the convenience. However for serving soup, it's too small, and take twice as many scoops to get your soup into the bowl.
