It was great while it lasted, but the garlic press handle broke off easily, and we had to replace it with a sturdier brand.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is
1. It's huge and takes a lot more room than my old one.
2. I doesn't have a handy bottle opener for any kind of bottles or to open up a stubborn lid. Therefore I had to keep my old ratty one for those chores.

Otherwise it's a well-working, good-looking gadget.

I put this on our wedding registry 2 years ago and was delighted when we received it as a gift. It has worked perfectly from day one! Easy to clean (if cleaned right away) and feels very sturdy. Our only problem is that the litle cleaning brush it comes with found it's way into our garbage disposal and was pretty chewed up. It's going to be difficult to replace this small part!

I bought this peeler because of my husband's love of Kitchenaid products. Even though it looks pretty, I don't like it as well as the plain little peelers that most of us already have.

The peeling blades don't grip the carrots and potatoes as well, it seems to slip. And the peelings don't fall off the peeler, they build up into a clump and I have to manually pull them out of the peeler. So it ends up taking a lot longer, and just doesn't work as cleanly as it should.

The other thing I didn't like about this peeler was the price. If it worked real well, I guess it would be worth it, but since I was disappointed with the performance of the product, the price is just too much.

My mom has arthritis in her hands pretty bad. Most peelers are difficult to impossible for her to use. Not this one, it works flawlessly. It is easy to hold in her hand, and the blade is sharp enough to do a great job on potatos and carrots.

This peeler is very heavy duty, and extremely sharp. I've used it almost daily for 4 months now, and put it in the dishwasher every day. It stays sharp and peels quickly. I have never used the straight style peeler; I like the curved one with the horizontal blade, so I was skeptical about this one, but hooked the first time I tried it. The KitchenAid variety of colors is an added bonus. I highly recommend this peeler.

I HAVE THE ARTISAN KITCHENAID MIXER AND THIS COVER IS TOO BULKY FOR IT. IT IS TOO LONG AT THE BOTTOM AND JUST UNPLEASING TO THE EYE. WOULD RECOMMEND JUST LEAVING YOUR MIXER UNCOVERED. HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL.

I ordered this because it said one size fits all. Even on the package, the word "all" is emphasized. However, it does not fit the 6qt Mixers. This would be great if you have a 5qt or smaller mixer.

I ordered this Egg Slicer, I had to wait about six weeks because they weren't out yet. After it arrived I used it to slice mushrooms (listed on the package), the wire broke the first time I used it. I returned it with no problem and had it replaced. The second one also broke the first time I used it (also on mushrooms - which is what I purchased it for). I returned that one and got my money back to go buy a 2.99 at the grocery store that actually works.

I thought this slicer would be a really wise purchase...sturdy & would brighten my kitchen. Wrong, wrong, wrong...it lasted all of two weeks, then as others have experienced, the wires all popped! Wished I'd checked Amazon's feedback before my purchase. Mine was an in-store purchase and expensive (for an egg-slicer). Of course, I'd already thrown away my cash receipt (ah,well). Then bought a Farberward slicer...very nice looking (black) sturdy (thus far) & I really like it...for less than a third the price of the Kitchen Aid.

Love the feedback on Amazon! Helps us all be a whole lot more satisfied consumers when we can draw on others positive and negative experiences with their shopping choices!!

I must begin by saying my kitchen is 100% KitchenAid in Empire Red. I adore their gadgets and utencils...and then I came across this egg slicer.

A good egg slicer is hard to find, and to find one matching my set..needless to say I was excited. But the first time I tried it, the wires simply popped out. It takes very little pressure to slice a hardboiled egg, but this poor slicer couldn't take it

I am very surprised, considering the high quality of the other products that I own. I am on a hunt for another red egg slicer.
