KitchenAid Review Super Basic But Spot On.
These tongs retain the timeless stamped metal feel of the equivalent from restaurants and canteens we all know.

These are basic. The right size for home use, stainless steel, slightly toothed food gripping area and holes to let oil and fat drain off your food. Plus the basic lock.

All the tongs do the same thing but these look classic, classy, and they are $9.99... you cant go wrong. Dont spend all day on the tongs section like i did, just pick these classic tongs.

KitchenAid Review One of the best!
I love these tongs - they do just about anything I put them to use for and just come out wonderful. The cleanup is great - they go through the dishwasher in a breeze and nothing sticks. These are great for flipping fish, pasta, you name it and they're there. They don't grab too much, thus preventing food from tearing. And, we won't even mention how much fun they are for a three-year-old to run around the house with grabbing whatever is in his path! They definitely take a beating, whacking, you name it and they look brand new. They are just beautiful to use as a serving piece and if they can take all that heavy duty beating by a boy, then you know they're worth the money!

KitchenAid Review Excellent
This is great for cooking when you don't want to pierce your meat, and for flipping things quickly and easily. The only thing I'm not completely happy about is that there isn't a whole lot of grip at the end (for teeth or holding on to the food). It's long enough to use for almost anything, and it cleans easily. It has a locking handle, so you just pull the black thing at the top, and they automatically lock closed for storage. Nice thick steel, and overall, a really nice product.

KitchenAid Review Don't bother with this, buy a real wheat grinder....
This attachment reveals a design flaw in the Kitchenaid Mixer design. Inside every Kitchenaid Mixer you have a transmission/gearbox that drive both the mixer and the accessory drive shaft. This gearbox has a PLASTIC cover that holds all the gears in place.

The grain mill attachment places the *most* stress on your kitchenaid, more than any other attachment you can buy. What happens is when you're grinding wheat, it heats up that gearbox and the plastic cover starts to flex, and if you run it more than 10 minutes it'll heat up enough to break the plastic.

I bought this attachement for my wife for Christmas 2004. It broke the transmission and stripped the gears on the mixer in January. We removed the cover and saw the cracked plastic. Kitchenaid promptly sent a replacement mixer even though ours was "out of warranty". This tells me that they KNOW about their design flaw.

We got our shiny new Kitchenaid Mixer the next week. My wife took it out of the box, attached the grain mill and started it grinding flour. Within 10 minutes the plastic cover failed on the new one. Kitchenaid sent out a new one, again. We're now on our third mixer and we're looking to get a refund from Kitchenaid for the Grain Mill so we can go out and buy a real wheat grinder.

It's really sad. All Kitchenaid needs to do is put a metal gearbox cover on the transmission and you could grind wheat into flour non-stop. I can't believe that they're willing to stake their good name on a plastic part!

KitchenAid Review Worth the price ?
Generally I've been satisfied with all Kitchen Aid attachments, but this one is a little different. For the price I could buy myself a stand alone grain mill with more features and save the load on my beloved workhorse.

KitchenAid Review Great Mill---even better bread!
I have had the pleasure of milling all the wheat we use for bread with this mill for almost 5 years. It does a terrific job. I have never double milled and do not find that step necessary. The resulting flour makes the greatest bread.

KitchenAid Review Grater Broke
I bought this set and was very pleased until the grater just snapped at the handle. This implies that there is a support problem with the manufacturers design.

KitchenAid Review gadget set
everything seems to work fine, although we do have another similar kitchen aid can opener that slips a little bit, but is still functional. All of the pieces are attractive and feel good in your hand; decent price for the set.

KitchenAid Review A Fabulous Gadget Set
This gadget set is heavy duty and very useful. I enjoy using all the pieces in the set, especially the ice cream scoop. I also like the peeler.

KitchenAid Review K45SB Replacement Bowl is what I got.
I was really excited about finding a replacement bowl for my kitchen aid mixer. I bake 3 to 4 cakes a week. However, this bowl is being advertised as KithenAid K45SBWH, the WH meaning "with handle". I received the bowl without a handle. The handle is a very important feature to me. The advertisement is erroneous and very misleading. I was very disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered.

KitchenAid Review What Was I Waiting For !
I have needed an extra mixing bowl for ages but couldn't justify the $50 price tag so when I spotted it here for $30, that was a good incentive to get one. Sure makes things easier when you don't have to transfer ingredients and wash the bowl in the middle of mixing a receipe.

KitchenAid Review Does what it does, and does it WELL
I needed a bowl, and gosh darn it, this fit the bill nicely. An added bonus: makes a great piece of headwear in a pinch.

KitchenAid Review Seems a bit flimsier than original whip
We just bought this as a replacement for one that came with the mixer almost 7 years ago. This is the right size for my model. I'm sure it will work fine (I only tried it in a dry bowl), but I'm having trouble with the seemingly lesser quality of this replacement whip. My original whip was 100% stainless steel and weighs 4.5oz. This new version has a connector socket that feels hollow, perhaps? It weighs only 3.3oz.

So if you are purchasing a replacement for an older whip, don't expect an exact replica (like I did). I'm trusting that this will work as well as my older one.

KitchenAid Review TIME SAVER
This item is absolutely wonderful and no kitchen should be without it. For delicate meringues, this appliance takes all the work out of an otherwise laborious task.

KitchenAid Review Wire Wisk Attachment
The wire whisk is a perfect example of how kitchen aid should make all their attachments. It is made of stainless steel and works perfectly for making the fluffiest meringue. It does not have that nasty white paint coating like other attahments, therefore it does not chip off into your food. This is a must have attachment to your kitchen aid!

KitchenAid Review Good slicer too, but...
After reading the reviews here, I wasn't sure if it sliced onions well. I am happy to say that the onions are sliced nicely. I was using a mandolin and throwing away too much, to prevent hurting myself. This is much quicker and safer. I also tried bell peppers, but the results weren't as good. Some of the peppers were mushed and some were huge slices. I had to get out the knife anyway and fix the large pieces manually.

Does anyone have a good solution for the (slight) problem of sliced vegetables flying about? I have to wear an apron, but would prefer some sort of diverter to aim the vegetables downward. (Most of the vegetables do go down, but some seem to be uncontrollable.)

KitchenAid Review I love this attachment !
I have had this attachment for more than a decade and I love how easy it is to use and clean. Unlike some of the other reviewers I never had any difficulty disassembling the attachment when I needed to remove it from the machine. I find this product very simple to take apart and clean.

I find that I use this more than my Cuisinart food processor for shredding because it is so easy to use. It is very helpful that you don't have to stop and empty the bowl to continue shredding. That is the single biggest advantage the KitchenAid attachment has over the food processor.

I do usually slice with my food processor instead of this machine. I think that is just out of habit. In my experience the attachment is just as efficient for slicing as it is for shredding.

I would recommend this to anyone that shreds a lot of vegetables for carrot cake, zucchini bread, or potato pancakes. In most cases this attachment will eliminate the need for a food processor. If you have a small kitchen you might want to give this attachment a try before buying a separate food processor. This attachment takes up very little room when it is being stored.

KitchenAid Review Better than my Food Processer
I love this attachment! Dont know how I lived without it. I would always pull a chunk of cheese from the fridge, hand grate what I needed ( what a pain ) and clean up. This is so much faster. I can do more at a time and clean up is quick.

KitchenAid Review Great for pesto and cole slaw.
I bought one of these for my wife. We're at the limit for storage space. I actually brought home one of the larger Kitchen Aid units and I had to take it back because we didn't have room to store it!

This unit is heavy, powerful, and quiet for its size. So far we've had nothing but good experiences with it, but it's a good idea to read all the reviews to see if your particular favorite food is something people have had trouble processing with this particular machine.

It seems that all food processors have their strengths and weaknesses. Our main purpose for the machine is processing veggies, and it's working just fine so far. And, its small enough to hide away when not in use.

Finally, the three cup bowl is great for doing small jobs. That was one of the reasons we chose this machine.

KitchenAid Review Excellent processor
This food processor beats my previous (atdmittedly, 10 year old) food processor by several miles. It's extremely quiet, and has handled everything I've thrown at it without a single glitch. I wouldn't mind if the top was a bit easier to clean, as cheese and some other stickier foods can get jammed in the gap between the lip and the feeder tube, but it's not too hard to clean, just a bit tedious. The best part is it looks great next to my Kitchen Aid stand mixer ;-).

KitchenAid Review 2 in 1 - well worth the investment!!
This has to be the best food processor I have ever owned! Its multiple uses and abilities have come in very handy in my home - and it has already saved me hours in the kitchen! I highly recommend this model because of the two bowls - great for quantity and less rinsing during preparation. The "s" blades are of excellent quality, as is the cutting disc. I will never buy a different brand in food processors again! Kitchen Aid is truly the best!

KitchenAid Review Beautiful but not reliable
I honestly liked the blender a lot. I received it as a gift and it matched the rest of my kitchen's KitchenAid appliances-- range, refrigerator, dishwasher, pretty much everything other than the toaster oven. At the time, there could be no better blender. It looked great. It promised professional performance. It had KitchenAid's brand and durability behind it.

I use my blender for making tomato sauce and the occasional fruit smoothie. There is some amount of ice crushing required, but that shouldn't be an issue. I certainly was not a weekly let alone a daily user. So, 3 years after I got the blender, I went to turn it on and it is completely dead-- no light on the on button. Changed outlets and still nothing. It's done. What an incredible dissappointment.

But, it seems to me that the KitchenAid brand has really taken an awful turn since it was acquired by Whirlpool(?). First, my dishwasher broke (3 repair jobs) then my stand mixer's seals are loose. I called customer service about trying to buy a replacement thermometer for my range and after endless re-routing, I got no where. The fridge has minor issues (loose rails, pieces not refitting) and is probably the best of the lot.

I did some research. Apparently, KitchenAid is just licensing its name out on various products. So, realistically, there is no such thing as KitchenAid quality anymore since they don't make much of anything. Everything is just a re-branded product. Whirlpool is going to milk the brand premium until its reputation catches up to it.

From a once KitchenAid loyalist, avoid this product-- yes it's beautiful but it's not going to last. Avoid all KitchenAid products because they really are not what they once were.

KitchenAid Review Pureeing capability needs improvement
My wife and I have been fans (and owners) of KitchenAid appliances for years. This includes refrigerators, dishwashers, food processors, and various utensils. We had high expectations when we selected this blender. Our unit has exhibited good reliability, but the performance is lackluster. Ice is incompletely crushed, which leaves lumps in drinks. Even bananas and strawberries (which are rather mild materials) are not completely pureed, after 30 seconds of high-speed attempts. I wonder if the circular/cylindrical shape plays a degrading role. The blades, though very durable, are not all that sharp. We had much better performance from Oster and Hamilton Beach. Price is not a barometer of quality.

KitchenAid Review Works Well Except with Ice.
I bought this to make smoothies with because of a great sale price on amazon.com With 575 watts, i thought it would be more than powerful enough. While it can chop ice and produce a good smoothie, I find it involves a bit of work. Basically, I have to spend 5-10 minutes pulsing the blender on progressively faster settings, all the while sticking in a spoon to mix up the contents frequently. For softer foods, the blender works like a charm. Overall the look, size, amount of noise, mess and cleanup wonderful. If you don't plan on putting ice in it, this is a great blender for you. Otherwise, you might need something with a little more power. One last thing, the reviewer that mentioned contents sitting just above the blades is right. This happens to me when i have ice and a little bit of liquid in the blender. A pocket of air forms and the blender and you'll need to stir the contents around.

KitchenAid Review Great cake pans!!!!
I used my new Kitchenaid 9" round cake pans today and they work great!! I lightly sprayed them with Pam cooking spray that contained flour. They bake beautifully without any attempt to stick. I placed the silicone pans directly on the oven cooking rack without the use of a baking sheet. They sat perfectly level on the oven rack. Taking them out of the oven is a breeze. The cake pans cool quickly and were easy to handle. They have a wide brim that allows you to hold the pans securely. I love these pans! I have ordered the Heart shaped and Square pans. Get these pans while they are cheap in price. You can not go wrong. Use Pam spray and your cakes will pop out like mine without any trouble. Also, these pans will interlock inside one another for easy storage.
