KitchenAid Review this baby is sooo solid
How much can you say about an ice cream scoop right? Well not that much other than to say this thing works GREAT! I mean really really great. It weighs about a ton and it cuts through the most rock solid dairy product like it was made of Kryptonite. And it cleans up so easy. Just a quick rinse and its back in the draw ready to go. Is it more expensive then a regular scoop? Maybe. But for my money it pays back in spades every time I use it.

KitchenAid Review Best ice cream 'scoop' ever
This is the best ice cream scoop ever (well, "spade"). I've had mine for 2 years now (black version). No matter how cold or hard the icecream/yogurt is, the spade cuts right through. I considered getting the type that has anti-freeze type liquid which supposedly helps. I'm so glad that I got this Kitchen Aid spade - it works far better than any other scoop that I've tried. The handle is perfect as well, and the whole thing is well-balanced.

My mother-in-law has the Kitchen Aid "scoop" version. It's good, but I'd give it 4 stars. If you must have round ice cream balls for an ice cream cone, then you could get that, however the spade works much better for scooping ice cream, cutting through easily and scooping plenty. You could still make a "ball" if you really wanted to with the spade.

Definitely 5+ stars. I'd pay twice as much for it if required.

KitchenAid Review Bagels yes, Bread, NO
If you prefer having bread that is toasted on both sides look elsewhere for a toaster. Even when it is not on the bagel "setting" it does not do any more than barely warm one side of bread.
In addition if you are looking for a blue toaster (how I wound up with this one despite the warnings about its inefficiency) don't buy this one--it looks nothing like the picture on the internet. It is purple, so not only does it perform poorly it looks terrible in my blue/gray kitchen.
I expected more from a KitchenAid product and if I could return a used toaster (albeit only 3 times) I certainly would.

KitchenAid Review Toaster review
I like the overall dimension of the toaster, the various levels, the width of the slots, the color, and the results received. I'm pleased that I purchased this toaster.

KitchenAid Review Works great! No problem getting dark toast
I really hesitated to order this toaster because of complaints about it not toasting items completely enough (because, depending on what I am toasting and why, I sometimes like my toast dark). I bought it anyway because of the bagel function, and figured I would just "double toast" if necessary. I have absolutely no complaints about this toaster! If I turn the darkness knob all the way to the darkest setting, I get toast that is quite dark -- what I would call burnt, actually; more importantly, I no longer have to choose between bagels that are not toasted enough (but still soft inside) or toasted as I like them on the outside and dried out inside. The bagel function on this toaster works great -- fully toasted on the cut side and completely warmed throughout without being dried out! This is how a bagel SHOULD be toasted. I don't know if the company has modified the unit, or if others just got "unlucky" or if I just got "lucky", but this toaster works fine for me at whatever setting I use with just a sngle toasting.

One note, though for those of you who expect the empire red toaster to EXACTLY match the empire red stand mixer: the color match is not exact (different exterior materials). It is somewhat noticable (to me, anyway -- my kitchen gets lots of natural light) if they are side by side on the counter, but if they are not side by side, you'll never notice it.

KitchenAid Review Wonderful product, but needs improvement!
Silicone baking pans are extremely cool. Light and flexible, they store easily and don't deform even if you accidentally leave something heavy on them, and you can just peel them off your finished baked good. Since they cool down quickly, you can lift them without potholders after ~5 minutes out of the oven. Plus, I get that thrilling "the future is now" feeling whenever I use them, and sometimes I bake solely in order to be able to use the pan because it's just so cool.

Unfortunately, this pan and its sister, the 9x9 cake pan don't get clean --- whatever you bake leaves stains behind. No matter how many times I have soaked them in hot soapy water, put them in the dishwasher, or scrubbed them, there are white splotches from flour that has spilled and brown splotches from cocoa and a shiny oil film. Even with the stains, they work perfectly well, but I just try not to let my guests see them since they look somewhat questionable. Also, I would be wary of using them with foods with strong flavors like onions or garlic, so that I wouldn't end up with garlic flavored brownies in the future.

One reviewer noted that they get clean if you grease them, but I don't think that could prevent the oily film, since the problem there seems to be too much fat, not too little. It's possible that they have improved since I bought them last year, but you may want to look elsewhere to the silicone pans with shiny insides like the Roshco.

KitchenAid Review Weird, But Good
I just made some banana bread in the silicone rubber loaf pan. It was a really weird experience. The loaf pan is a soft rubber and doesn't feel structural enough to bake anything. There are two main advantages. 1) Nothing sticks to silicone rubber. 2) The silicone rubber loaf pan is so flexible I could probably turn it inside out, and that makes it easy to remove baked items.

My banana bread is usually baked onto the metal non-stick loaf pan when it emerges from the oven. Then I let it cool and it steams in the pan and is essentially glued to the pan. The loaf comes out, but the crust has turned to goo and is stuck in the loaf pan. With the Kitchenaid silicone loaf pan, the loaf just popped right out. It wasn't too browned. It made a beautiful loaf, like a picture in a cookbook. The sides pooched out a little, but not badly.

There was no silicone oil or chemical smell as reported in other reviews. Perhaps that was caused by an earlier batch of bad bakeware, or using the silicone rubber pan under a broiler and overheating it? I baked at 350 F in an electric oven and the loaf pan seemed chemically inert and the banana bread tasted fine.

In addition to seeming weird, there are some functional differences. Compared to metal pans, I'd add some more time or bake at a higher temperature. And no more reaching in with one oven mitt and pulling out the pan. The silicone rubber loaf pan requires two hands and two oven mitts.

Because the silicone loaf pan is so incredibly nonstick, cleanup was extremely easy. My only problem? I just bought some nice metalic Kitchenaid nonstick bakeware. It's very nice, but the silicone rubber pan works so well it's like alien technology.

Did I mention it's *really* non-stick?

KitchenAid Review I am very happy with my silicone bakeware
I have this and mini-pans and muffin pans - all silicone. They are great. The biggest problem is that the bread tends to expand the sides of the soft pan so the sides are a bit wider. I never oil the pans and the bread pops out easily. The muffins too ususally since the recipe often has oil in it.

Great product. Never noticed any odd taste/smell.

KitchenAid Review THE PERFECT BLENDER
This is a powerful blender, which reduces all the ingredients even frozen fruit and ice cubes to liquid in 20 seconds or less. Most importantly, the stainless steel container does not have to be disassembled to be cleaned. Actually, it can't be disassembled. No worry about cracking or having to unscrew the base. A little pricey, but you clearly get what you pay for. Generally, a first class piece of kitchen equipment.

KitchenAid Review Actually smooth smoothies
I have blown through many other blenders making smoothies and other frozen cocktails. The last one I killed was a Kitchenaid Professional (different from this Pro Line). This thing is a monster. I use frozen strawberries in my smoothies, and always had chunks left over no matter how long you blended. This Pro Line makes the smoothies actually smooth, and does it quickly on low. It says it's a one speed blender, but pulse uses low speed. We've loaded this thing up for frozen cocktails, and it whips them out in 15-20 seconds. This is the best blender I've ever used, and I bartended for 10 years while in college. You'll love this thing!

KitchenAid Review Amazing!
This blender is incredible. Expensive, but well worth it. It can blend anything in 20 seconds or less. Ice, frozen fruit, you name it. It has a great modern look with the stainless-steel jar and after use just throw it in the dishwasher.

Highly recommended! I was looking at Waring blenders before but found too many negative reviews.

This is pro product. I couldn't find it anywhere locally so had to buy it online. Glad I did! Best blender purchase ever!

KitchenAid Review Miracle Whips Never Been So Easy
As a long time critic of kitchen tools and ALL Miracle Whip applicators, I was skeptical when I was presented with this device. It uses the same "scraper/spatula" design that has been prevalent in the United States since the release of the Tupperware model R. At first glance I was not impressed with this tool. It was nothing flashy, although I must admit the red color was quite innovative. But, the real test would have to come when I put it into service. She wasn't as stiff as some of the hard plastic models I have tested, but not as floppy as most silicone models I have labored through. I would have to say it was a happy medium. So I dug right in and began making some fried wonton stuffed with Miracle Whip, and I must say this spatula sparkled. Pounds of Miracle Whip got stuffed into this little Asian number, and the spatula never failed. I knock off one point for the simple fact, that they don't offer a Miracle Whip branded version of this spatula. Now that would be really nice. Also, not quite strong enough to be used a tactical weapon, but quite suitable as a disciplinary tool.

KitchenAid Review Great tool.
I'm very pleased. This scraper is sturdy, with just the right flexibility. It's made my life easier already. And it's so nice to know that it won't melt.

KitchenAid Review best spatula I've ever used
Now I'm not a professional chef, so I've probably used fewer than 10 spatulas in my not so short lifetime. Still this is definitely the best of them. As someone else said, it is a happy medium between very floppy and too rigid: It is just right! I was amazed the first time I used it. I've never had a spatula that enabled me to truly scrape all of the contents out of a mixing bowl. It also looks very nice. For the price I cannot recommend it enough.

KitchenAid Review This are not the same spoons you can buy for $2.99 at Target
They are much thicker plastic (they are the professional series).
The ones at target and Walmart are the much cheaper Culinary series.

KitchenAid Review Very nice set
A great product. Very sturdy and accurate. However, I found them for half the price at Target after I had purchased from Amazon. Food for thought.

KitchenAid Review I loved them....
I had metal measuring spoons that bent in the dishwasher so I went out and got new ones. I decided on these because I like kitchenaid, plus I wanted things to match (I already had the measuring cups.). I liked the handles and the easily readable numbers.
