I ordered one of these mixers when they were $125. I received the mixer and it looked great but it had a terrible noise in the transmission in the lower gears and when you went from a high speed to a lower speed the gears would slip. I returned this one and amazon send me a second that had been packaged poorly and was damaged in shipment. The second one also had the same problem with the gears as the first one did.

I just love my mixer. I haven't used it much yet but what I have I just love it. It was a reconditioned one and it looks like new. I'll give it a real work out at xmas.

I had wanted this product for years, and it's every bit as wonderful as I had imagined. The cost of the item had always put me off,but when I saw it at Amazon.com ,refurbished, I bought it. It should last me for the rest of my life!

After using our old KitchenAid processor for 20 some years, a plastic part on the bowl broke after a good drop on the floor. Replacement parts are no longer available for that model. The locking mechanism was gone forever. It lasted longer than any other kitchen tool except the KitchenAid mixer, which is still running strong.

This was our replacement. Improvements have been made, such as the small mixing bowl, design etc. Dough is a snap, which is one job for a strong motor and a test of quality. This unit will certainly satisfy the needs of a serious cook. Another 20 years?....I would think so.

I am not new to food processors, I have 5 of them, each with its own purpose. Several years ago, I purchased an 11 cup Cuisinart. I liked it somewhat but found it confusing and too safety oriented. Then I purchased the KitchenAid ( reconditioned). I love it, I love its simplicity, its ease to operate, its power. I use it every day, sometimes several times. I bake my own bread so the processor is right on my counter.I've had it for two years now. I have even convinced my best friend to purchase one and she loves it too. This is by far the best kitchen tool and the best processor. KitchenAid stands by its products too. Have no fear with this one.

After having surgery on both hands I found myself not being able to do the many things that I loved. But after purchasing the kitchenaid food processor I am now but into the race. I was a bit worried about buying a factory reconditioned item but knowing the kitchenaid brand name I knew that I had made a smart choice. My item came just as new as a new one...I just love it!!!!

It is obviously too much to ask to find a toaster that lasts! I have been throught several with this being the latest. The heat setting is stuck and cannot be adjusted. The handle fell off. Small appliances used to be built to last. My grandmother has had her toaster for YEARS! This started having problems after 6 months! Beware. Look for a better model.

My wife and I have been shopping for a replacement toaster over the last six months. I have seen this same toaster in the department store at list price. We decided that at the price Amazon was selling it we'd give it a try.

This is a very modern toaster. It has six buttons which control the temperature, "stop" toasting and set the toaster in "bagel" mode. My mother-in-law has had many problems with a very similar looking Cuisinart toaster. I would sum up problems with the Cuisinart model (also sold on amazon.com) as lots of buttons and bad toast.

While the KitchenAid looks like the Cuisinart the KitchenAid actually makes great toast. You can get the basics down just by matching the buttons you press to the general task or just read the manual if you don't want to risk the trial and error approach and resulting potential for burnt toast.

I like the "stop" button that stops the toaster and ejects the bread. This is great if you think the bread is overcooking. The controls are very easy to clean and operate.

The toaster has a single wide slot which can accomodate two slices of bread, bagels, or a large thick slice of homemade bread.

The toaster is streamline too and takes little counter space. We are pleased with the toaster. We would definitely buy it again at the discounted price Amazon offers.

I bought this as a replacement for a 20 yr old food processor. At first my wife made fun of me for buying her an appliance as a present. That was until she used it. It is a marvel, quiet, powerful and tools galore to simplify her holiday baking... and any time of year prep...
Buy it.. it's a treat to use

I've been using this for over two years several times a week without a hitch.

Even batches of pizza dough don't bog this machine down. The grater works well, as do all the accessories. We bought the juicer, which grates the fruit or vegetable while spinning the pulp to extract the juice and it works like a charm.

As I said, we use this item more than any other appliance with great success. I highly recommend it.
