KitchenAid Review Please...SAVE YOUR MONEY
What a disappointment. I am a huge Kitchenaid fan and I can't believe the poor quality of this toaster oven. As others have said, the finish is poor...the paint is not smooth and is chipping off around the oven door straight out of the box. The stainless steel trim is rough and cheap looking; it seems poorly machined. As for the performance, toasting is totally aggravating since the top element gets MUCH hotter than the bottom. The timer is cheap and the "ticking" is annoying. When the timer ends, the bell is out of synch. There is no on/off switch; just the timer to control the oven. I expected MUCH more from a toaster oven in this price range. I was happier with my old Toastmaster that cost about $40 and lasted for years. You can do much better than this for considerably less money.

KitchenAid Review Ideal for those who like a soft touch
Well, I finally broke down and spent the 'big' bucks for toaster oven in search of one that can make me great open faced sammiches. It has been a quest folks and one I'm unsure is over. Having said that, I think that I quite like this item from Kitchenaid despite its large size and gentle heat. First off, it is large, or larger than the average bear so make sure that you have the counter space for it before making that purchase. This large size ties into one of the things I really like about this oven which is that it is well insulated and thus its outside surfaces remain relatively cool to the touch when in use. Its large size also instilled in me the realization that this thing really is an oven and not just a horizontal toaster. Thus I've used it to heat up things small frozen pizzas, and fish sticks, etc. with excellent results (tho necessarily for times longer than directed on the food box indicating a lower heat than indicated on guage). This latter point leads into what I believe many people will have a problem with, to wit, that the heating elements do not produce a very intense heat (thus it is quite possible that the thing actually heats to a slightly lower temp than on the guage), which results in toast only lightly toasted after 5 minutes of heat. This mild-mannered heat production takes a little getting used to but here in the early stages I have to say that, on the whole, I am quite pleased by its gentle nature. To be sure about this I broiled both lamb chops and a nice steak just to see what would result. No surprises, I'm sorry to say, just a nice even, gentle, heat which caused both the lamb chops and the steak to be cooked right through. This is not a good thing, however, as I like my steak to be rare to medium rare, and I want my lamb chops to be thoroughly cooked but with a nice crispy char on the fatty bits. In other words, this oven is prolly not going to work well as a broiler for anyone who wants a little character to his meat. The flip side of this is that any meat one does broil or cook in this little number is going to retain its juices and be quite succulent and toothsome at the end of the process. To wrap up, I can't speak to the finish but I would like to address the fit part: The oven door on mine has a little quirk that causes one to have to jog it to the side a bit to ensure that it closes. This is an aggravation more than a defect but something that may be common to all of this model number. Finally, some of the things I really like about this oven are the ticking timer which lets me know that things is happening, the timer end bell which lets me know that things is no longer happening, the lack of excessive external heat generation and the front loading crumb tray. Stuff I'm not so crazy about is the fact that there is only a single slot for loading trays so one can't get one's meat closer to the broiler elements, the funny door closing quirk and the humongo size. The thing that I'm on the fence about and which actually sums up the character of this product is the gentle, even, something less than fierce heat generation of its heating elements. Thus, if you drive a Honda Civic you'll prolly really like this thing, if you drive a Dodge Magnum you're gonna hate it.

KitchenAid Review Pleased with Kitchenaid
I bought the Red model and have not had a problem with chipping paint like other reviews stated. I do wish the timer went to an hour, but most items were baked for under an hour. I had my first cake get too brown on top, but after adjusting the temp. and baking time, it baked beatifully. I have found that things bake quicker in this oven than my large oven, which I appreciate. I do wish it wasn't so expensive, but I bought it to match my Kitchenaid cookware set which I also am very happy with.

KitchenAid Review Cannot use
I wanted to add a second pair of kitchen shears to my life as I use them for so much (my first pair is a Henckel's). What a disappointment! This is actually the first item I have returned to Amazon (and I've been ordering from them for years). The place to put your fingers in handle is so big that is was very uncomfortable to use and the blades seemed 'to go too far' (hope you know what I mean). Anyway, totally unusable to me.

KitchenAid Review Cuts Great, but Poor Handling
Pro: The shears do a great job cutting through everything I've needed (plastic & paper bags, cardboard, etc.). They're definitely razor sharp, and come with a nice blade guard which I think is important.

Con: The handles are flimsy...very soft rubber. They certainly are comfortable; big holes for the fingers, and of course very soft and plyable. However, they don't hold up under any sort of pressure (because of being too soft), and therefore probably will not be used much unless I can fashon some replacement handles.

KitchenAid Review Cutting Edge
I have had such good luck with the Kitchenaid handtools, I decided to try the shears. They look great, have a blade gaurd and are really sharp! They are the only scissors I use, no matter what task I am doing. They go right in the dishwasher and come out for round two.

KitchenAid Review It's a good thing.
I purchased this product because I have recently starting baking cookies and stirring cookie dough by hand left my arm and shoulder sore. I know Kitchenmaid as a quality product name. Instead of the large mixer I opted for this handheld model because I don't have alot of counter top or space.

It is light, easy hold and powerful enough for the toughest chocolate chip cookie dough. I am happy with it.

I was also happy with the delivery of the product...it arrived within the week and was well package to prevent damage.

KitchenAid Review A Great Hand Mixer!
I've owned this mixer for 2 years. I use it at least once a week. It mixes everything I use it to mix, including bread dough (with the dough hooks, 4 C flour recipe). It mixes thoroughly and quickly. I've bought one for each of my daughters and they each love this mixer! Cooks Illustrated Magazine (America's Test Kitchen) rated this the top hand mixer of all the hand mixers they tested. They were right!

KitchenAid Review Excellent
This mixer handles cookie dough perfectly!

KitchenAid Review 6 stars?
I don't want to go overboard on this review but I will start by saying this is an excellent product. As a 40-something bachelor who couldn't cook to save his life I can't express my new confidence (false of course) in the kitchen after using my waffle maker! I have to admit I was drawn to this product because of its gorgeous Bauhaus looks but believe me, it's beautiful form follows it's excellent function capabilities. From the very first waffles I baked I acheived as close to waffle perfection that I have seen/tasted anywhere, including restuarant grade. You get what you pay for. Take care of this and many decades from now your progeny will remember you as they bite into maybe the best waffles they'll ever have.

KitchenAid Review Fantastic Waffles
Well I bought this for my daughter who will be moving in a month. While she is still at home we have been enjoying this waffle maker. The clean-up is easy, just wipe it down with a damp cloth. The waffles remove easily and two are done in 3:30 minutes. I like it so much that I want one too. It is very heavy, and you will need counterspace to store it.
The book that came with it had recipes but strangely not for your basic waffle. So, I used the chocolate chip recipe and omitted the chips. That worked fine but their was a slight shortage of batter for the last waffle.

KitchenAid Review Perfection!!
I purchased this waffle iron a few weeks ago and finally got the courage to use it yesterday. Wow, Wow, Wow!! It makes absolutely perfect and absolutely delicious Belgian waffles. Crispy on the outside, evenly browned, and moist and light on the inside. My daughter and her friend had a blast using different toppings on them. When she walked in from school today, the first thing she asked for was a waffle - and I was most happy to comply. Within 15 minutes - she was happily munching away. Clean-up is a breeze (even when I overfilled it accidentally). This is a definite keeper!

KitchenAid Review Wat too popular an item
Ok now I have bought 3 of these things. The first I bought at a store and my Mom has yet to return it. The other didn't make it home from a party. For heat resist to 500 F it is amazingly flexable. Bowl lickers will hate it as it will get it all. Blueberries and raspberries havn't stained it. Better than a regular scraper as it 'spoons' out batter perfectly for cupcakes and toppings for cherry cheesecakes.

KitchenAid Review Found it at Walmart a LOT cheaper
It was a waste of money and time to order it online. If you need these products from KitchenAid, check at your local discount stores first.

KitchenAid Review Just what you need
A nice little set, all the sizes you need, easy to get on and off the ring, not too deep for getting in small places, sits level on the counter top. Not much else can be said about measuring spoons. A good price too.

KitchenAid Review Awesome cupcakes!
I have been looking for good muffin pans, but i found great muffin pans! Nothing sticks to these, no spray needed. I did notice the bottom of my cupcakes were a little dark, so i lowered my oven by a few degrees and that fixed things. They are so easy to clean, i just put them right in the dishwasher. I even ordered the 6-cup muffin pans cause i liked these so much.

KitchenAid Review Cup of Love
What a great pan. It is sturdy, with extra deep cups and handles for easy transfer in and out of the oven. The pan comes with a non stick coating and with an added skiff of Pam, muffins, rolls and cupcakes come sliding out. The pan seldom needs washing because everything releases so completely.

KitchenAid Review Heavy Duty, Very Nonstick
Like the other Kitchenaid nonstick bakeware, this muffin pan is made from very heavy gauge metal and, unlike Ecko and even Wilton, the nonstick coating is thick and durable.

Don't gouge the surface with metal implements, don't overheat the muffin pan (450 F max), and don't use an abrasive nylon pad like a Scotchbrite to clean it. The nonstick surface is so effective that there should be no need for harsh cleaning. Even seriously baked on foods should come off after an hour of soaking in warm water.

KitchenAid Review Heavy handle
This is a nice product but the handle is heavy and sometimes it will flip over when you try to balance it on the pan.

KitchenAid Review Love it!
So glad I bought this turner! It's very flexible and I can get under and flip my omelette/pancake beautifully. I love how I can now scrape the pan clean (as hard as I want) without leaving any scratches. It's very easy to clean too.

KitchenAid Review A real finger saver!
Before I bought this spatulah, I used to flip burgers over with my hands. As you can imagine... I burned my fingers a lot AND messed up my food. With this spatula, I can flip my burgers and pancakes over without burning my hands or messing up my food. It's plastic too, so it washes real easy. I just don't know how I ever grilled anything without this handy gadget. It's not very good for stiring though. I might need to buy a big spoon.
