For the price, the T-Fal is not bad. The set does not come with spatula or turner so you need to get your own. The light coat of nonstick and the construction makes it feel durable enough for occational but not frequent use. The lack of variable temperature control makes it a little more work to just enjoy if you have to unplug and plug to prevent the food from burning.
I'm returning the T-Fal for something a little more heavy-duty, maybe the Swissmar.

I bought this raclette a couple of months ago. It is very easy to clean (you can put most parts in the dishwasher). The only thing that I overlooked when I bought this item is the fact that you cannot control the heat (only on/off). That does bother me at times. Other than that it is very good price/quality.

I should have seen this at a B&M b4 ordering it. It's SO small. Uses 1 L of oil, but it isn't a rotofryer like my Delonghi, so it's capacity is tiny. I think you might be able to fry 1 or maybe 2 pieces of chicken, but that's it. In my Delonghi rotofryer I can fry 4 pices at a time.
I returned it w/o using it, so can't comment on how it functions.

Yes, the size is smaller than some, but the ease of straining the oil and cleanup is well worth it. Plus, it's pretty quick to cook, so two batches is not a big deal. Love it!

This is a great little fryer. It's easy to use, and SO EASY to clean. Drain the oil into the included plastic container and put everything in the dishwasher. What a breeze! It is small - but we only cook for two people so that doesn't bother us. The timer is pretty much useless, but for the price it was a great purchase.

the only thing bothers me is that it is ver ugly.

I had a little George Foreman from the first generation of George machines. After I got married, it was time for an upgrade! I found this model on Amazon and decided to go for it since the reviews were good. I love it!

Steaks and burgers cook super fast and are so juicy, then it can open fully for a real 'grill' feel, like cooking kabobs. The best part is you just detach the heating element and throw them in the dishwasher! Easy clean-up! I love it!

This grill is so awesome I just had to write my first review. This replaced my giant George Forman grill with the flaking non-stick surface and non-removable plates.

This thing is a dream.

1) It heats up really fast (although the first couple times I did have some stinky smoke), and it cooks faster than my George Foreman.

2) It has an adjustable temperature which is really handy (I cook most things on 3 because 4 is pretty hot).

3) It comes with a wire insert that holds the top of the grill up so you can melt cheese on your burger without the cheese touching the grill (no more trying to prop open the top with spoons and other utensils).

4) The top of the grill has a couple different positions so my steaks don't get all the good juice squeezed out, but my chicken breasts get cooked evenly all the way through.

5) The drip pan actually stays in place! Amazing concept. ;-)

6) Clean up is the best part of using this grill!! The plates come off and everything -- housing and plates -- can go in the diswasher. The only thing that can't go in water is the plug. I generally don't have room in my dishwasher, so I wash everything in hot soapy water in the sink. Super easy.

I only have one complaint and that is the size of the grill. I wish they made a bigger size. Other than that, I have no complaints. I LOVE THIS GRILL!!

My wedding-gift iron finally stopped steaming after 19 years and a little online research steered me to the T-Fal 1769 to replace it. Even though I don't iron often, the burst of steam and vertical steam features really drew me in after struggling with chamois work shirts and a linen jacket with cotton decorative panels. I wasted time running to 3 different stores to find it locally and finally ordered it from Amazon - no sales tax and free delivery! I just used it to RE-iron one of the chamois shirts and the jacket with ease. If ironing can ever be considered a pleasure, that was it.

Do beware of unplugging it when the thermostat light is on - causes a nasty little arc from the wall socket. Also, fill it up well if you're needing the burst of steam. If the water is too low, it doesn't happen. Oh, and be sure to take the label off the sole plate before heating it up - that scorched paper smell is annoying...

I hate to iron, but it's a necessary evil. I have one upstairs in the closet and one in the laundry room so touch-ups can be done anywhere. At this price, you can keep one handy in office and home, or up and downstairs. Great gift for weddings, too. Big thumbs up.

I love this iron. It does not drip or spit!!!! It heats up almost immediately. It's shape is great. It is bigger and heavier than my last T-Fal (which lasted 4 years until I dropped it on cement floor)but with the sole plate and design of the iron itself, you do not notice the extra weight. I have arthritis in my hands and the handle on this iron does not bother me at all. The cord placement works well also. I iron
amost everyday (compulsively)which is probably above average usage. But this one seems to be a winner!!!(My last one, a 1500
series was good, but this one is GREAT!

The oven works like a charm, doing a fine job of toasting & baking, which I do almost every day. The door rattles a bit when the convection fan is going, so I just lay something heavy on top of the handle, and it's fine - I love it!

The Avante Elite really is worth the extra money. It's the only toaster oven I've encountered that feels substantially better designed, better built, and better-featured than the others. The convection cooking makes it actually useful and reliable for cooking and baking, the digital controls are well designed, and the unit is easy to clean and attractive. I wish I'd had one of these in college -- I wouldn't have needed anything else.

I have had other deep fryers & have to say this is the cleanest one yet. I pondered for weeks after reading other reviews weather to buy this, but know that I have it I am so glad I did. When I initially put it together it was a bit wobbly so I was worried abit about when I was cooking but once the oil is in it is very steady. It cooks very evenly, a little off from the recommended cooking time but no big. The basket I found to be ok size & the cleanup beautiful. Once you are done cooking just set it on the oil bowl base & w/in about 1hr done. Just wash & ready for next time. If you are considering this I would highly recommend it.

I started using a small deep fryer in college just to make fries. I went through many different deep fryers since then as my family grew. I just couldn't find the right one. Now I have a family of 4 and this is the perfect deep fryer. I love the fact that it's big enough to fry all pieces for my family in one use. I can just throw in chicken nuggets and fries some days for the children and I can make taquitos (my husband's favorite) some days for him. I have fried chicken breast and they turned out perfect. It fries so evenly. The basket can sit at the top of the fryer to drain without having to hold it. The temperatures are perfect. When you lift the lid the water from the steam doesn't go directly into the oil to cause splattering like my past deep fryer. But most of all I love the cleaning features on this unit. You can drain/filter the oil and put everything except the hot plate (bottom) in the dishwasher. The last one I had was such a pain cleaning that I threw it away.

Everything is perfect about this including the price. Too good to be true considering the fact that I've paid more for deep fryers prior to this. I think I'll get one for my mom.

This waffle maker works well. The interchangeable plates are connected by two "lips" towards the hinge and two push-button retractable retaining clips in the front of the unit, sort of like what you would see on some built-on luggage locks.

It is sturdy. The heating elements are thick and also seem like they will last.

It is easy to clean, even the stainless top. The plates do pop off easily and clean well in the dishwasher.

Good waffle maker for the money.

This is the best sandwich maker we have used. It is non-stick which really helps when making cheesy sandwiches. Also you can completely remove the plates and wash them, that makes it very easy to clean.

I Love the way the Tefal deep fryer cooks, however, I am returning my second one due to a defective lid closure. The lid may close initially, but after a few uses it no longer stays closed. Since I have small children in my home, I will not be purchasing this one again.

I like this deep fryer, but there are a couple changes that need to be made. The chrome sides become hot during frying, so be careful. Also, the lid is tough to close when the basket is in the machine because the fit is a bit too tight.

On the plus side, it cooks evenly and quickly, much quicker than my previous fryer. The size is also a big plus, especially if you're cooking for more than 2 people.

I ordered the T-Fal Avante Deep Fryer to replace my "Fry Daddy". So far, so good. I especially like the fact that you put the food in the basket, close the lid, and then lower the basket. No more popping grease! The timer allows you to do other things while your food is frying and -- so far -- everything has come out perfect. I would certainly recommend this fryer. The only drawback -- it takes up more counter space than the "Fry Daddy" but I think it's a small price to pay for the quality of the product.
