Cake Knives Review Great Cheesecake Knife
I bought this knife a few weeks ago, to cut my cheesecakes with. It works great and it doesn't hurt the non-stick on my pans either. I have also found other things it works well with also. I use it to slice, Bread, Bagles and regular cakes. I highly recommend this knife. Just make sure that you run it under very hot water and wipe it off after cutting each slice when slicing cheesecake. This is for all knifes not just this one.

Cake Knives Review Neat, but lower your expectations
I purchased this because I wanted a bundt pan, but don't have the room for the space-consuming pans. (All of my pans and oven-ware need to fit in the oven drawer). It's great on that count because I can roll it up and squish it in, and it pops right back into perfect shape when it's needed. I've only used it twice so far, in the year or so that I've had it. The first time I used it I didn't really grease the pan as I should have because I thought it would pop out regardless. Not true, and we ended up with a crumbly cake. Also, there was a chemical smell (not on the food) but in the air while cooking.
I just used it again last night for making a Chocolate Sour Cream Bundt Cake. (A great recipe from America's Test Kitchen!) The recipe came out great, and I greased the pan as I should have (with butter and cocoa paste) and the cake popped out perfectly. The real drawback was that it took much more time to cook. I ended up baking it (nearly twice as long) for an ADDITIONAL 40 minutes - beyond the 45 minutes it should have taken!! I'm not sure if it's that the silicone is somewhat insulating or what. So anyway, the pan works well, but the cooking time may vary from the recipe.
And yes, put it on a baking sheet to control the wobble while placing in the oven, and to aid in removing from the oven.

I have seen other brands with a stabilizer for more support. Use of a baking sheet will help. Silicone releases very easily. The outer edges of the finished cake come out much paler than when using a metal pan. I prefer the darker look.

Cake Knives Review No more potholder marks in your cookies!
This cookie sheet is one of the best I've used. With the wide grip "lip" on the side, you can get it in and out of the oven easy. I've had other brands sheets warp and lose their finish with repeated use, not this one.

Cake Knives Review Nice Size, But "Light" Weight...
I have a number of pieces of Llorente Silicon bakeware and love it. I'd been wanting some square pans, but hadn't seen them offered by Llorente. I saw these on Amazon's site and decided to give them a try. There wasn't any size listed (these are 9" X 9") but I was willing to use either of the standard square pan sizes and took a chance. If these work as well as Llorente, they'll be useful for my purposes (making yeast rolls). However, these are significantly lighter and more "flimsy" than Llorente, so I'd hesitate to use them for batters or items that need to set up. (Hence, my 3 rating.) I think the weight would force the sides outward and might cause some misshapen results. If there were a frame or rack available for these, that might provide a solution. Alternatively, you could probably use these as liners in your metal pans. That would save on clean-ups and would provide the flexibility which makes silicon bakeware so nice.

      Cake Knives Review One flaw
These silicone baking dishes are great except for one flaw that can be major or minor depending on your personal use: You can't cut anything in these pans. If you like to make brownies and cut them while they are still in the pan, forget it with these, because the knife will cut right through the pan.

      Cake Knives Review Works Great
I bought this before reading the mixed reviews on the many KitchenAid silicone items. I thought about returning it after reading about how food sticks and the plastic smell while cooking. There were other reviews, however, that were just the opposite.

I sprayed the Cake Pan with a non-stick spray pryor to use and the Cake Pan worked beautifully. There was no sticking nor was there any plastic smell. I think the key is the non-stick spray. I believe that the bad reviews related to those not using a non-stick spray - with or without flour.

I cooked Brownies and decided to remove the Brownies from the Cake Pan before cutting. I reduced the rating by one star because I don't think the soft silicone is "knife friendly".

      Cake Knives Review Works great
I was hesitant to try this after reading the negative reviews however, I gave it a try and I'm glad I did. I made brownies and they turned out great. No bad smell or stick. I followed the directions of spraying the pan lightly and let them cool before release. They came out without any problems or stick and the pan was very easy to clean up. I will continue to use this a while longer before I invest in the purchase of other pans but I am so tired of spending good money on pans that claim to be nonstick and don't discolor that I just had to give this a try. So far I would recommend this. I will write another review later if I should run into problems and change my mind but so far so good. Hope this helps.
