One of the few quality carving forks on the market that fits into a slot in a standard knife block. Quality is excellent, tines are thick and stiff enough to pick up a decent sized roast from the roasting pan.

Well, I bought this set without researching the difference between international set and real set from Germany.The kifves were rather dull, and its cheap price indicated its quality. I regret to jump up and bought the set at the department store.I am aware of how expensive the products from Germany, although it would be worth collecting the knives from REAL henckels!

It would be a great knife set by just about any other manufacturer, but it's disappointing for a set with the Henckels name. The steak knives seem like a cheap afterthought. There aren't slots for them in the knife block and they seem to be poorly made in comparison with other Henckel's products. They're akin to butter knives with a serrated edge and are very awkward for cutting steak(for which they are intended). The rest of the knife seems to be up to par with what I expected of a lower priced set from Henckels.

This Pro S is worth every penny and is in fact half the price of other high-grade knives. Because it keeps its sharpness longer than cheaper knifes, it's actually safer to use. I use cut everything with it, and it has proven versatile. I recommend hand-wash only to keep its longevity and a yearly visit to the professional knife sharpener as home kits actually can ruin your knife.

I have a couple of good knives from other manufacturers, but this Henckels carving knife is easily the best. Incredibly hard steel, cuts like a dream, and has held its edge a long time so far. It's a big knife and a little intimidating for small jobs, but indispensible for the big jobs where you need a long blade. I grew two vines of spaghetti squash this summer and must have cut at least ten of them with this knife. None of my other knives are up to a whole hard-rind squash! Also great for hams, whole heads of lettuce, and cutting cakes all the way across. I had a roommate who wouldn't use any of my knives but this one, as huge as it is! This set was a gift from a friend & I had no idea it would come in so handy. I still haven't carved a turkey with it yet, but I can't wait.
