Cutlery Review bd
Great value. The knives are very sharp and easy to care for. The various colored handles make it so easy to reach for the tool you need quickly. Since the knives are stored in their own block on the counter, I find I reach for these tools rather than opening the untensil drawer and grabbing the tools I had previously used for years. I generally like a clear, functional counterspace, however, these knives use such a small amount of space and are used several times daily. The block is a neat and safe way to store them and keep them handy. The overall design actually adds a little something to the space. This was an easy fit. We didn't have to get used to the new tools.

Cutlery Review Does the job, not great
This food chopper would be good if it works as it is supposed to do. Without any food in it, the chopper will turn 1/8 rotation at evey chop as featured. But once any food is placed, it becomes difficult to push it down, as the blades are not very sharp. Moreover, it does not turn most of the times. I had to carefully half press it sometimes, in order to make it turn. Hence, if I am not careful, the food (I use it to mince garlic most of the times) remains as very big pieces, as the blades have cut it in only one or two places.

The other design issue I have with this is that it is a huge problem to clean it. The blades do not come out, and I had to push the blade with my hand to keep it extended in order to clean it under jet of water. I don't think the blades will clean at all in a dishwasher. As a result, it is not very clean after six months of use and it smells heavily of garlic, the only thing I use it to cut, and hence I could not use it to chop any other food.

    Cutlery Review Neat little chopper
Easy to wash, nice sharp blades. The blades are a little hard to clean safely when bits get caught, but mostly it just washes out in water. Chopping isn't that even but it does a good job if you keep shaking between the chopping. Does a great job with nuts and hard things, not quite so good with softer things (like bell pepper). Overall, well worth the cost.

Cutlery Review Great looks and performance
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. The meals I prepare are complicated and often include a good amount of sliced vegetables. I have two Santoku knives and have found myself using this knife more and more for my preparation work.

    PROS:
    -Great feel, perfect balance
    -Sharp easily maintained edge
-Heavy enough for the big stuff (squash and pumpkins)
-Balanced enough for the small stuff (garlic and ginger mincing)
-Works great whether you hold the handle (like I do) or the blade (like they show you in some cooking schools). If you are a blade holder, then you'll love the feel of this thick backed `clever' like knife!

    PROS/CONS:
-You have to hand wash and dry this knife immediately after use, but you should be used to this with any high end knife (wouldn't want to ruin your edge in the dishwasher...)
-It's a bit expensive, but then, it's very well made
-Thicker then a Santoku, not good for cutting meat, but it is not advertised or made for that purpose

If you don't own a Santoku knife, then do yourself a favor and get a Santoku first. You'll find the diversity and utility of a Santoku unmatched regarding preparation cutlery! If, however, you're like me, and have a variety of knives, then this knife is a GREAT addition to your collection.

A pure vegetable knife: simple, beautifully crafted, balanced like a weapon... the best in its class. You will not be disappointed!

    Cutlery Review Great Knife
This knife has a really great look to it. The only problem that I came across is that it shouldn't be ran through a dishwasher. It makes the handle ruff and prickly.
