Cutlery Review 10" Serrated Bread Knife
The knife does an excellent job of cutting through the toughest crusts. The length is especially handy.
The only negative I have is that there should be a warning included with the knife to avoid putting it in the dishwasher. I used the dishwasher and the finish came off the wood handle on the first washing

Cutlery Review Great Knife
All my knives are Chicago Cutlery so I was aware of their quality before ordering this knife. I'm not disappointed--it's very sharp and comfortable to use and it works great with the Norpro bread slicer.

Cutlery Review Fantastic Bread Knife
This is truly a superb knife in quality and performance!! After reading the customer ratings, I was convinced to try one of these knives for myself. All of the 5 Star Customer Ratings are true!!! This knife excels in performance well above knives that are triple the price and goes beyond all expectations of the higher priced knives. I also found that if you aren't careful, it also cuts fingers too!! I totally agree with a previous customer's comments - "For price and quality, this knife is an absolute STEAL!!!

Cutlery Review Cheaply Made
I tried this knife at Sur La Table at the Furi demo. They appeared to be very sharp. However I did not like these knives for the following reasons

1) I dont care much for the cheap plastic-like orange handles

2) The finish on the knives appear to be cheap. Furi implies that these knives are made in Germany. However they are cheaply "Made in China". Now generally I dont care that much .. everything is now made in China anyways.. But when I am paying so much money for a product, I was hoping it was made in Germany or USA.

3) The case is even more cheaply made.

Personally, I would wait for a sale on the Global or the Wustof knives.

Cutlery Review A Wonderful Find At A Reasonable Price! A++
I just purchased this knife, having a larger Wustof Santoku Knife. I wanted this smaller knife to handle jobs that the larger Santoku was unwieldly to do. This knife is simply wonderful; and despite other reviews about the orange handle, the ease of use makes up for the color. The handle is quite comfortable and the grip makes it easier to chop and cut without fatigue. It's easy to clean and the knife is as sharp as any of theother higher priced knives that I own such as Henckel's or Wustof's. Highly recommend!!!

Cutlery Review I'm in love!
I ordered this knife half because I needed a good knife and half because I love Rachel Ray. Anyway...the knife is fabulous! It slices through everything with very little effort from me. I started out with the 5 inch because I have small hands...but I'm definitely looking to purchasing the 7 inch next. The silicon handle is awesome. Great gripping power and sits easily in my hand. I recommend it to anyone looking for a knife that's not only comfortable to handle but cuts like a dream!

Cutlery Review My favorite knife
This is my favorite knife. It cuts very nicely and has a great feel. Mine is still sharp after 2 years of use.

Cutlery Review Knife review
This knife appears to be very high initial quality. I've bought other knives and either the ends get broken off or they rust. I haven't had these very long, we'll see how they hold up.

Cutlery Review Great little knife
I never thought I would write a review of a pairing knife, but this one is so good I couldn't resist.

The thing I really like about it is the balance. It is just about perfect. I never realized how much of a difference that would make, but it does make a difference. Moving the knife one way and then another is just about effortless. That - combined with the sharpness of the knife - makes it very, very easy to use.

Additionally, it seems to be well made and of good materials. I have now had it for almost a year and it is as sharp as when it first arrived.

I like this knife so much I am going to buy another so I always have one when the other is in the washer.

Cutlery Review Great combo tool for any real geek!
I normally carry a pocket knife and a USB flas drive this allows me to only carry one item. It has scissors, a knife blade, standard screw driver blade, a pen, and a led light. This is a very handy tool. You may even remove the USB flash drive to take on a flight.

Cutlery Review What a great "man" gift!
I got this as a gift for my husband and he loves it! and I think with the new flight regulations it is ok to take on a plane (blade is less than 3"). The memory stick works perfectly and so do all the other tools on the knife. Could be a little cheaper, but not bad at all.

Cutlery Review Best USB device I've ever owned!
This usb device was given to me, and I am thouroughly impressed. I probably would have never purchased it on my own, figuring that a Swiss Army USB drive would be inferior to other well established companies.

I have the 512 mb version, and it's replacing my PNY Attache 512mb stick. I did a little test to compare the transfer rate. My PNY stick transfered at 1.5 mb a sec. The Swiss transfered at 8 mb a sec!

My PNY has a cap that i'm always losing, the Swiss doesn't, and my swiss has a knife and pen and stuff. The coolest part is the Swiss comes with software to partition you USB drive! Or you can set it to only work with a password!

The price is steep, but I didn't buy it! Hands down the best USB drive I've owned.

Cutlery Review Not expected Henckels quality
If you are looking for the legendary Henckels quality, spend more money on a different set. These knives work as well as what you can buy at the grocey store or target, but are not close to the sharpness as more expensive Henckels. The quality knives are forged, while these are stamped.

Cutlery Review decent knives for the price
So far I really like these knives, especially the little curved one. It's coming in handy even though at first I wasn't sure what I would use it for. The knives are nice and sharp, too. I have not put them in the dishwasher yet because the packaging says the handles are dishwasher safe, but doesn't mention the blades. I would like to feel more confident that the blades can stand the dishwasher.

Cutlery Review Outstanding Utility knives!
At first I was turned off by the bright (gaudy) colors. However, I have learned to appreciate that these knives are color-coded! They stand out in the knife drawer, and you can always find the one you are looking for. Consequently, the right knife is used to get the job done.
The knives are indestructable and durable. We have owned ours 4-5 years and they show no unusual wear. Put them into the dishwasher! We don't do that with another knife (regretted it when we have), but these can take it. The knives are well-designed for function, comfortable to handle, strong, & sharp.
We love them and gave sets to our adult kids who always are commenting on how useful they are. Friends that visit and use ours comment favorably on them.
These aren't showy knives for formal dining nor will they impress anyone with your classy style. However, they do impress everyone who uses them. And, the price is nice.

Cutlery Review didn't like it
I guess I'm the only one who did not like this knife. I have French, German, Swiss, Japanese, and Chinese knives. This one falls into the Chinese variety. I was not at all impressed with the quality of this knife. When I compare it to a global (Japanese), it just looked cheap. I sent it back and ordered a golbal 7" santuko, which cost more. I just could not live with a Chinese knife for $70.

Cutlery Review Great knife/great price
I'm becoming more and more of a 'foodie' as of late, and saw this knife advertised on the Food Network and then saw it in a chef's store here in Seattle, so I picked one up.

Overall, a very easy knife to 'wield' and surprisingly lightweight, when compared to other santoku knives. The only thing I felt was kind of silly about it was the copper tip at the end of the handle.. I don't know anyone whose hands are sensitive enough to 'feel' when a knife has gotten off-balance, let alone anyone who would actually shave down the end of the handle to rebalance it.

Nevertheless, I feel like I got my money's worth and have enjoyed using it as I build skill/confidence in choppin' like a pro.

Cutlery Review Awesome knife
My wife and I really love the Furi! We have a set of Cutco knives that have been used a lot over the years, but lately this one has been our mainstay. The 7" size is extraordinarily versatile and we end up using it for everything we used the old chef and veggie cleaver knives. I was surprised that it was lighter than it looks, but it actually makes using it more comfortable. The balance is great and it cleans up well too. Very happy with this one!

Cutlery Review Stainless - NOT!
These were sent instead of the black-handled set I ordered so I thought I would give them a try. They are listed as "dishwasher safe", but evidently are not. Brown stains (rust?) appeared on the tops of all the handles. I cleaned them with silver polish, but the stains reappeared with subsequent washings. I have returned them and received a refund.

Cutlery Review Better than our other brand knives
I bought these knives at Target several years back. Although they *occassionally* get dishwasher stains on the handles, the blades themselves never get dishwasher stains on them, which is important to me; my girlfriend bought a different set of stainless steel steak knives (different manufacturer) that consistently come out of the dishwasher with massive rust stains on the blades themselves, which makes me not use them (who wants to eat rust). This makes me appreciate the Henckels set even more: I would definitely recommend this Henckels set.

Cutlery Review Good quality
However, they are smaller in size than what I expected. They are the same size as my butter knives. I expected them to be some what longer. They cut beautifully and look sleek and clean.

Cutlery Review Works as advertised
I have a set of Henckels Professional 'S' knives. I was always disappointed with the sharpness until I sharpened them with the Henckels Twin Sharp Duo Knife Sharpener. I'm not a chef nor someone who is enthusiastic about cooking and preparation. Follow the instructions and the sharpener works as advertised. I can't compare it to another sharpener and I didn't try to cut paper with a sharpened knife. The knives cut food much better. Good enough for me.

Cutlery Review Good product
This beats doing it manually. Does not provide the original cut when first bought, but for just secs to sharpen knife it is well worth the investment. Still use the steel to get a nice even luster and shine at the tip.

Cutlery Review Works pretty good.
I replaced my steel sharpener that came with my Twin Cuisine set with this one. Works great and looks good enough to leave on the counter.

Cutlery Review Good knives in general
These blades are not made in Germany for anyone who is planning on buying them. It is a misprint in the product details. They are made in China, but they still function just as they should. They are very sharp. I am not a knife expert so I can't evaluate them as critically, but they do function just as I would hope. They are very sharp upon opening the box.

3 stars just because the blades are Chinese made, not german.

Cutlery Review Great beginner set!
This is actually the second set of these knives I've bought. The first set was for a Christmas present for a friend last year. After recieving those and having had the chance to use them I decided to purchase a set for myself.

These knives have an excellent design, look very sleek and stylish. Not the most important thing but hey who wants an ugly set of knives cluttering the counter.

They are extremely sharp with a comfortable feel. They have a great balance and weight to them. Some people might not like the rubberized handle design but I personally think they are better than most.

Don't get me wrong these are not top quality Henckel knives at a cheap price. They are bottom of the line for Henckels branded knives but as I said they are great for a beginner or even moderate chef.

Cutlery Review Pro S cleaver
I wish this cleaver had the same handle as the rest of my Pro S knives that are in my Henckels knife block. The cleaver definately is a quality product. I have not had a chance to utalize it yet. It has a good feel to itand looks great, now if it just looked like the rest of the Pro S line.........

Cutlery Review Another great tool from Henckels
I received this cleaver as graduation present when I finished Culinary School and I have been thankful ever since. This is a really nice looking cleaver. The handle is excellent. It looks great feels just right in my hand. It has a good weight to it so that I am able to cut through bones and large pieces of meat with no trouble at all. And with a name like Henckels you cannot go wrong.

Cutlery Review The Right Utinsel
The cleaver is just the right size for my use. Handles and fits the hand well. A good product.
