Cutlery Review Excellent knives
I received my set of Chicago Cutlery Steak Set as a back up for my main set of Chicago Cutlery. These knives are one of the best knive s that I have ever used. They fit the hand perfectly and are very sharp, they come in a nice storage box so I can keep them in the drawer without getting them banged up. I look forward to using them for a long time in the future.

Cutlery Review Love this knife!
I love tomatoes and find that I can cut the thinnest slices with this knife, yet it is useful for cutting breads and cucumbers as well. I also have the 6.5 inch veggie knife and find that very sharp and easy to use. I like lightweight and these are very easy to handle, and compliment my Global veggie knife well.

Cutlery Review Protecting my expensive knives.
I buy very expensive global knives. I also often cook at my friend's houses. I carry my knives with me and I dont want the edge dinged. These cheap covers have been great. I dont even use the $50 knife carrier. You can also use these to leave your knives loose in a drawer. Leaving your knives without the cover in your drawer will destroy the blade quickly.

Cutlery Review Save Your Blades
These blade savers are high quality and reasonably priced. I've paid more for less from so called specialty stores. Nothing beats a blade saver for keeping knives sharp and clean in the clutter of a utensil drawer

Cutlery Review Good price for safety and convenience
I purchased these to cover the blades of my Global kitchen knives. The plastic is sturdy and the covers slip snugly over the blades, allowing me to put my razor-sharp Globals in the drawer without ever worrying about injury. I have a knife cover from a different company that is of a slightly more substantial plastic, but that single large knife cover was $4.50, which makes this comparable set a terrific deal.

Cutlery Review These scissors are pathetic
OK -- I bought these because of the amazing reviews these were getting. Boy, am I disappointed. These didn't just break... they actually fell apart in my wife's hands. My wife wasn't doing anything particularly interesting with them when they fell apart. I don't think this would be so disappointing if they didn't fall apart within the first day of getting these. Get some Fiskars.

Cutlery Review Excellent Kitchen Scissors
I needed an kitchen scissors/shears to replace one lost. The item by Chicago Cutlery is great. It actually was better than the original so the loss was a gain.

Cutlery Review Well worth the $$
Nice design and balance... sharp and functional. Price better than Walmart stores.

Cutlery Review Excellent for honing or touch up sharpening
This is not a general purpose sharpener. If the V of the blade is too wide to fit the wheels, you will not be able to sharpen well. You could force it but you could end up notching the blade.

If the V of the blade does fit the wheels, a few light pulls will make your knife bread and tomato-slicing sharp. Truly excellent.

Back to - if the V of the blade is too wide. Use a normal grindstone to narrow the blade edge V to 20 degrees or so (doesn't have to be exact - guess and try a narrower angle if it doesn't work). Then use the Twinsharp - a few light strokes. After this you won't need to grind the blade further, just use the Twinsharp every few weeks to keep you knife in top condition.

This is a good product, but I prefer the Pedrini model that has larger all-steel wheels. Much cheaper and easier to wipe the wheels clean. Knife comes out just as sharp.

Cutlery Review What's not to like?
It's small, it's cheap, it sharpens knives simply and effectively.

Cutlery Review reliable favorite
I love cooking and you need sharp knives when cooking. I've owned more expensive, electric sharpeners and have abandoned all of them for this simple sharpener. This is actually the third one I've owned over the past 15 years. It's easy to use. It's small so you can keep it handy in the knife drawer. When I pull a knife out to use it, I check the sharpness - if it's dull I just pull out the sharpener, give it a swipe or two through the sharpener and I'm back to cooking. I love it and will buy it again when this one wears out.

Cutlery Review Great knife if you want a dull one
I had high hopes when I bought it. After cutting two onions and a slice of stake, the knife is dull. I am shopping for another one now. It looks like the knife has built in child saftey features.

Cutlery Review good value
I purchased this knife because my daughter didn't like using any of my knives; she wanted one like the chefs all use on Food Network. I wasn't willing to pay the high prices of the professional ones so this was a good compromise, and I'm pleased with it. It's nice-looking, feels comfortable to hold, works well for chopping vegetables. Overall, a decent knife at a very reasonable price.

Cutlery Review my best tool in the kitchen
I use this knife daily and love it. It is light in weight with a shape that fits comfortably in my hand. I have used it almost daily for about 6 weeks and it has remained very sharp. I'm very happy with the value.

Cutlery Review Furi Pro Knife Sharpener
I am a confirmed sharp knife-aloholic and have experimented with nearly every tool to keep a razor sharp edge on all the knives in my collection. The things I look for in a sharpener in order of priority are:
1. ease of use
2. will it maintain the proper angle without requiring an apprenticeship?
3. will it consistantly produce a razor sharp edge from heel to toe?
4. can it go from dull to razor sharp?
5. can I change angles for specialty knives?
6. overall system design including packaging.
I have never seen a 5 star yet and maybe that system can never be built. I found a Furi to be relatively intuitive to use and easy to switch from one phase to the next.
Unlike a previous reviewer, I had no problem using the system and found that the diamon 'finger' design maintained the correct sharpening angle for both my 22.5 degree and 15 degree knives.(I still have not tried it on cleavers or hunting knives)
Overall sharpening abiliity was much better than the average sharpener with only minor discrepancies(rollovers) along the blade length (which may be operator error). The system did well transforming dull knives to sharp. I have never been a real fan of diamond coated syatems and still fell that a real 'razor' finish on specialy knives(like fine Japanese knives)requires a ceramic touch up.
Overall system design appears well thought out with the exception of the carrying case which is made of cheap plastic and is almost useless for convenient storage. Considering the cost, they could have come up with a much better design.
I will definitely keep the Furi system and find it to be the best sharpener available on the market considering the above criteria.

Cutlery Review Excellent knife sharpener!
I bought the Furi knife sharpener to keep my Furi 7-Inch Gusto Grip knife sharp. I also used it on my old knives and what a positive difference it made! Even my cheapo knives are sharp. I used to use one of those electric sharpeners that you pull the knife through but always got poor to mediocre results. The Furi sharpener is so easy to use and does a great job every time I've used it. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

Cutlery Review Works well on my good knives
The sharpening system works very well on my good knives and even made my mediocre knives much better. It is expensive but good quality.

Cutlery Review Wonderfully Wusthof
After reading everyone else's reviews, I waited until after we used them to comment. We had steaks on Father's Day to test them out and they cut our steaks perfectly. They are pretty light and aren't as heavy as I thought I would want, but they are just fine now that we've used them. Becuase of the silver color and simple design, they will go with any cutlery you have. I thought the box was going to be cheap by the other reviews and complaints, but the dark wood was just beautiful and a great gift presentation box. This was a real deal that couldn't be beat for comparable sets on Amazon and other sites! I'm glad I did my homework.

Cutlery Review Great knives - Great Value
These are very good knives. Well balanced and easy to use. I would highly recommend them.

Cutlery Review These are functional, classic and a great deal!
I got the eight piece set and I am so pleased with them. They cut extremely well and look elegant on my table. Would recommend to all... and the price can't be beat!
