This is a good pan for the price! I wanted to give our daughters something to start with in this type of cookware, but thought Le Creuset a tad too expensive. I liked it enough to add one to my collection of cookware too! My only complaint...there are no instructions for care and usage included and no warranty or manufacturer information anywhere. Amazon has been useless in helping me find the information I need, BTW. Still, for $50 this is a good pan to get!

I guess they cut as well as any kitchen shears, but I find that they regularly come apart into two pieces. That's probably good for cleaning, but annoying when you use them. I also find the grip is not very comfortable (and I have small hands!). I bought them separately (not a part of a set).

These are a well made pair of cooking shears, I particularly like the ease with which they can be taken apart for cleaning, the only problem is that they are very uncomfortable, if it hadn't come in the Calphalon 15-piece set I bought, I wouldn't use them.

The knife I purchased had a smaller handle than I expected; however, it cuts wonderfully.

I received my utility knife several weeks ago ande was so pleased with it that I ordered one more for myself and some for my family members. I first noticed the weight and suspension of the knife and felt it to be excellent. I find that when carving and chopping that is important. I also like the length of the 16 inch blade for all my uses.

This is the go-to knife for just about everything: slicing tasks when the paring knife just isn't big enough, cutting vegetables where you need more control and precision than a larger chef's knife would give you, and even cutting open the occasional box now and again.

It's a great length (not too short, not too long) and has a substantial feel to it. It has well-forged blade and while it's not a Pro-S or a 4-star (and it shows a bit: though it doesn't matter, the finish isn't as nice), mine lasted through two years of heavy use befor needing a professional re-sharpening. And it only needed it a little bit then -- it was still sharp enough to be safe and effective. Mine never stained, and clean-up just involved hand washing with a mild detergent. As with any good knife, you shouldn't put it through the dishwasher.

At this price, I don't mind keeping a couple of these around. The older one gets abuse (opening those boxes and cutting into avocados, during which I often hit the pits) while the newer one gets reserved for more traditional tasks.

While this set of knives does look pretty cool (and for that reason alone, I've rated them as worthy of two stars, vs. none). They were not even remotely sharp upon arrival-I was able to run my finger across any one of the blades without having fear of injury. Right then I should've sent them back, but my failure to do so has understandably left me "stuck". Even so, my opinion would've been somewhat positive if they could be quickly sharpened by using the steele included, or else if they held an edge once sharpened, but that's not the case ... not by any stretch of optimistic imagination. Fortunately, they were obtained at half price during a Yahoo sale; if not for that, I'd be thoroughly disgusted.

Good price, but unfortunately have a couple of problems. First, the set I received is not that sharp. The company could have done a much better job sharpening them. Second, they will start rusting if washed in the dishwasher. Otherwise an inexpensive set of all metal knives.

I liked this set of knives, but the copper handles are sometimes hard to hold on to. The knives themselves are very sharp, including the top portion of the blade, if you're not careful you can cut yourself while chopping. Nice value for the price.
