I decided to purchase this knife after using it in a cooking class. I cook frequently, but never splurged on high quality knives. This knife is amazing! It's much lighter than many of the German brands like Wusthof and Henkels, but still cuts through food effortlessly. It also has an ergonomically correct handle, so it feels great in your hand. Oh, and not to mention, it's beautifully designed.

nice set of knives...no advice on whether dishwasher "safe" or not...some oxidation occurs when you use the dishwasher...disappointing

These knives are top of the line!!!!! don't pay any attention to "mostly happy" any GOOD chef knows that you are not supposed to put knives in the dishwasher. This guy should of spent some money on Fisher Prices "My first Knife set".

Received this as a birthday present. I'm generally skeptical about gimmicky things I was happily surprised how well this works. You simply remove the foil, insert the needle through the cork, press on the cartridge and out comes the cork.

I haven't tried it on bottles with the new plastic corks but it probably works well on them.

Hopefully the cartridge will last for 50+ bottles as claimed. If not, I'll edit this review.

The only reason for giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is that the instructions don't tell you how to replace the cartridge. It seems fairly straightforward, but instructions would be a nice.
