Cutlery Review Henkels VS. JA Henkels
Thanks to the previous review for pointing out that this knife is not a "real" Henkels (AKA JA Henkels), and slicing through the crap/hoax reviews on this page...

Cutlery Review Three strikes and it was gone
This knife gave a performance roughly equal to what I paid for it. Bread knives aren't really precision cutting tools, they basically need to be able to get a good grip on a hard surface and not make too many crumbs. On both these counts this knife was not successful. The blade is rather thick and as a result converts a lot of whatever it cuts to crumbs. More importantly, the serrations did not stay sharp and had a tendency to slip. After three people, myself included, got cut as a result of the knife slipping on hard bread or a bagel that was the end.

Cutlery Review Best knife ever, worth $50, costs 10
I've had this knife for years, use it for everything and couldn't be happier. I thought it would dull easily or wear down, after all it's only $10, but I was wrong. Simply fantastic for cutting bread, but also useful for vegetables and other tasks. The only thing it doesn't cut well is meat.

    Cutlery Review Crap
The Block is of very poor quality and is Damaged and put together very poorly. I do not recomend buying this product. I expected much more from Chicago Cutlery.I am very disappointed. I Thought the knives would cut like a knife through warm butter. Well that is not happening.

    Cutlery Review Not that Great
I liked the look of the knives but they really are that great and they do get brown spots, but if you clean them right after you use them then it isnt a problem. BUT I AM MAD about that $75 worth of OMAHA STEAKS! OMAHA claimed they never got my order when I called so I faxed them a copy of what I had mailed them. Then they wouldn't honor it b/c they said it ran out March 31 !!! I MAILED THE FORM AND RECEIPT/UPC IN FEBRURAY!Here I am in MAY waiting for my order to arrive. How was I to know they "supposedly" never got it - if so I would have called them? I think I got shafted! I will never order from OMAHA!

    Cutlery Review Great Product
This product is great. Like any fine knife set it has to be cared for in a proper way. Price wise it compares with German knives costing twice the price. For the money you can not beat this product.

Cutlery Review one star henckles breakable knife~
after reading reviews of this knife and others, my husband came to the conclusion that this knife would be the best christmas present for me. and it was for about 5 days. it cut wonderfully and felt perfect in my hand. after i was washing the knife off after cutting an onion, i noticed a crack in the blade!! so i sent it back for another one, and that one was defective. the divits that are on the sides of the blades (to keep food from sticking to the knife) were off centered and went off the blade's edge instead of running above it. so i sent that back for another one. then amazon said lots of other people were having problems, too, so they did not have any more in stock. i gave up then. i am using my refund money towards a trip to california....

Cutlery Review My Henckels 7-Inch Santoku Knife
I love this knife. It makes slicing of anything so easy. The knife feels a little heavy, but I am all right with it. I find myself taking this knife out to slice everything. I have actually become a better slicer, since using this knife. I would recommend this knife to anyone who wants a good quality knife that is not too expensive.

    Cutlery Review Great Value Blade
For balance and performance, very few knives compare. This knife feels like it was custom made for my hand. It has handled every task I've put it through. Amazon's price was fair (saw it in the mall "On Sale" after Xmas for the same price), but the free delivery made the difference for me.

Cutlery Review Awful awful knife set
I got this set after reading the reviews. And guess what..the reviews are wrong.

I used one knife so far, it was sharp and good. I used it and cleaned it with water and put it in the wooden block. The next day I had trouble taking it off from the block. After I did I saw it had rust!

    Yes, thats right, it rusted.

I dont care how ergonomical it is if it rusts after a single use!

You will regret if you buy this awful set.

Cutlery Review So many pieces in this knife block set = HUGE value!
As this was being shipped, and with my luck, I was quite anxious that I would receive a bad knife block set. Surprisingly, it's held up fine and served me well. No rust; blades are still as sharp as new (I've been cooking a *lot* lately); handles are fine; rivets still intact.

With the # of pieces in this set, however, I must say, what a HUGE value this is!

Cutlery Review Excellent product, and I received it free!

Cutlery Review Wusthof Grand Prix Kitchen Shears
I ordered this item because I know Wusthof has a reputation for quality. I find the kitchen shears sturdy and sharp; especially appreciated are the easy-separation feature of the blades for washing and the handy lid-gripper for opening jars and bottles.

    Cutlery Review Excellent Kitchen Shears
These Wsthof Grand Prix Kitchen Shears are an excellent addition to one's collection of quality knives and kitchen tools. I keep these kitchen scissors handy by storing them in a Wsthof oak wooden slant knife block that has a special slot for them. I use them almost every day for household tasks - from opening plastic bags and cardboard boxes to cutting cheesecloth for making bouquet garni or waxed-paper rounds for lining cake tins. The handles are ergonomic, so that your hand doesn't get cramped when using them, and hygenic, so that they can be kept sanitized, since they're made from one piece of specially-molded plastic, which is the same plastic as the handles of Wsthof Grand Prix knives. I wash my kitchen shears by hand, dry them immediately, and place them back in the knife block, so they stay relatively sharp in between professional sharpenings. They are made in Germany from the same high-carbon, no-stain steel as the Wsthof Classic and Grand Prix lines of knives. The only drawback that I've found with these kitchen shears is that they are slightly bulky to use, as compared to Joyce Chen kitchen scissors, which I use for snipping herbs from the garden. The Joyce Chen scissors never seem to need sharpening, and they hold a keener edge than these shears. Also, I don't use these Wsthof kitchen shears for cutting up poultry; I prefer using my J. A. Henckels chrome-plated poultry shears for that task. All in all, these kitchen shears are a good kitchen tool that will last a long time, and they are safe for use by older children, too.

    Cutlery Review Chicago is Sharp!
This is the best deal for your money. The knives are probably one of the few economical knives out there that are always very SHARP. Their lightweight construction makes them easy to use. Make sure you wipe dry the knives each and every tome you wash them by hand (Never put them in the dishwasher!) good bang for you buck!

Cutlery Review Chicago Cutlery Metropolitan 10 piece Block set
I didn't find the knives to be initially sharp, it may be a problem just for me but trying to sharpen them on the round knife sharpener provided in the set didn't seem to accomplish anything.. I bought an electric sharpener which does seem to do some good.. on the plus side they feel balanced and well made, no signs of rust as yet.. all in all I don't know if these are substantially better than a cheaper serrated edge set. I guess you get what you pay for but I didn't and don't want to spend five hundred dollars plus on kitchen knives.

    Cutlery Review Great product
This is a great deal - good knives that are sharp and dishwasher safe.

    Cutlery Review Excellent knives!!
Even though I already own a very expensive set of Henckels knives, I purchased this Chicago Cutlery set for the convenience of extra knives. Chicago Cutlery was highly rated by Consumer Reports, which is why I decided to try the brand. You wouldn't expect inexpensive knives to be so good, but this set is really very impressive. These knives are a pleasure to use in the kitchen (I'm an avid cook) and were worth every penny. So if you don't want to spend several hundred dollars on top quality knives, Chicago Cutlery is definitely the way to go for good knives.

Cutlery Review Good blades, poor handles
Based on the user reviews, I ordered these knives. The blades are, as advertised, sharp and well designed. The handles, however, are very thin and poorly shaped. After a few minutes of slicing strawberries, my hand began to cramp. The knives are very lightweight, which can be a problem because you have to provide all the cutting power yourself. This is one of the very few items I have ever returned to Amazon.

    Cutlery Review Nice little knifes
These knifes are small and razor sharp. Extreemly good at peeling & chopping.

Cutlery Review I'm afraid your knives aren't your problem
Somebody send a crash cart and a sugar wafer to the reviewer who said "I have actually cut myself several times unknowingly and not notice [sic] until I wash my hands or get something in the cut"? Holy Numb, Batman! Are you kidding me?

For your own good, please perform the following Amazon search: "diabetic neuropathy, living with." Buy the top three, particularly if it recommends 1 cc syringes.
