The first set of knives I ever purchased was a Henckels block about five years ago, for which I paid about a hundred dollars and thought I was really splurging. It was adequate for a while but now I find myself using the serrated edge bread knife for most cutting chores as all the other knives haven't held a decent edge.

Looking for a decent cook's knife last year, research indicated that lots of people liked the Wusthof brand, and the Culinar line in particular looked very good as well. I thought a hundred and forty dollars was an awful lot of money for two knives but they didn't disappoint in the least. They are tremendously sharp and hold their edge very well.

I have given this set to my mother in law, who has every knife she ever bought and tends to use them to open letters and remove door hinges and so on, so you can imagine their condition. She is now a convert and uses them all the time, and I am looking for a set of my own.

I got this one on sale at Macy's a year ago. AND I just simply love it. It is extra sharp, handle is great. It beats those expensive henckels at any time. I got some henckels 4 stars which I paid $$$$. And Mundial is far cheaper than those Henckels. Great quality.

I received a set of these knives for Christmas a few years ago and I love them! Thye are the best knives I have used. Good quality knives make prepping food so much easier. They cut as well as they did when I got them, they have great balance and feel great in your hand.I highly recommend them.

This is a hollow ground blade (not flat ground) which does not cut straight. The blade tends to want to rotate in the cut because of this. Get a knife with a flat ground blade, not this one. You can see the ground part at the bottom of the blade. It is a cheaper way to make knives.

I got a good deal on this and it turned out to much better than expected. Well made with a sharp edge that holds up. The only reason for a 4 is the handle is not the most comfortable or secure grip.

My kitchen cutlery is all Henckels Pro S. And now I have two sets of these steak knives and they are Pro S quality all the way. The knives fit perfectly in your hands providing a secure grip. It slices right through any steak with ease. The edge remains sharp for a long time and it cleans up nicely.

It makes your dinning experience much better!

The first time we used them, we cut the ribeyes with this set fresh off the grill and everyone commented how wonderful the knife felt in our hands. The balance of the knife as well as the ease of use and the quality of the incision made us feel like skilled surgeons. Lately, I grill steaks just to have an excuse to use them! The presentation case is impressive to guests and they serve as a safe place to preserve their edges, tips and overall beauty. I bought them on amazon.com and was very pleased with the product for the price paid. I will probably purchase a second set so that I have service for eight.
