PERFECT!If you have this planer you need this chip collector. It works, it fits, It's easy to install, you'll get a better cut without the chips flying all around getting caught between the knife and your lumber. It's cheap. I have had this planner for 10 years I should have got the hood sooner. You will need an adapter if your not set-up for four inch collection.
chrisrefill.comMade out of plastic and fits very well to planer. I would choose this one over the metal one with different part numbers any day. I also bought a adapter for a 1.5 shop vac and this does not fit to the 5" outlet because both parts are 5" so I duct tape the adapter on the 5" outlet on the planer connect.

How on earth does it open?Unfortunately, although this pump pot is quite beautiful, I will probably never use it because I can't get it open. There are no instructions and no pictures. Darn shame.
Excellent party server at a good price pointThese hot pots are a wonderful thing to have if you entertain. If you normally make a 12-cup pot of coffee, it will barely serve a dinner party of six or so. And what about seconds? If you make several pots of coffee ahead of time and put them in the preheated air pot, serving coffee with dessert will be easy. And for progressive suppers, church functions, potlucks, there just isn't anything better than this. Simple to serve and keeps the beverage hot. I have three--one for regular, one for decaf and one for hot water.

Functionally superb, but built to breakI rate it 5 stars for performance, but one star for reliability
This is simply the best coffee mug available. It is so awesome that I am about to buy my fifth one, even though the last four broke at the hinge. The hinge is attached at only one point, and it is very fragile.
This mug is the best one on the market because:
- It is totally leakproof, even when holding beer under pressure. Every other mug I've tried leaks. This one does not.
- The cap locks shut. You can put it in your luggage without fear of leaks
- It is slim, but it holds a full pint. You can carry it in a bicycle bottle cage
- You can operate it with one hand
- The sip lip saves you from burning yourself on hot liquids.
- It insulates so well that you can buy hot coffee the night before, and drink warm coffee the next morning.
- There are no hidden recesses. You can wash every surface.
The designer must have deliberately built it to break. That is the only way I can explain this fatal flaw of an otherwise marvelous design.
I'll overlook the unreliability of this mug and keep replacing it when it breaks. As soon as a competitor makes a reliable mug with the functionality of this one, then I am switching. I'm feeling quite abused by this design that is built to break.

Rolls Royce of coffee holdersThere is none better. Coffee or tea stay very hot--very hot for hours, particularly if you prime the bottle first by filling it with hot tap water and letting it rest for a few minutes to heat up the interior. It has never leaked and I routinely throw it my tote bag, pocketbook, and carry-on luggage, which is easy to do because of its slim design. I have to add, however, that sometimes I feel like my nose bumps up against the hinged lid when I'm drinking from it, but I don't consider this a major drawback. I appreciate that it can be opened and shut with one hand,--a useful feature while driving. What a pleasure to own a product that looks elegant and works as it is supposed to!
Great bottle! Note to leakers: Don't overfill! This bottle is just perfect for backpacking, briefcases, and carrying coffee in the car. It will NOT leak. Unless you overfill it (past the sealing surface, about 3/4" down from the top). If you overfill it, it will leak, guaranteed!

Screw lids are fine for food jar, but not for a coffee mugAlthough Thermos Nissan products are among the best vaccuum insulated containers on the market, this dual purpose jar falls short due to its attempt to be dual purpose. As a food jar it is great. But as a coffee/drink mug it becomes less useful on account of what makes it such a good food jar -- that is, the screw on top design. Remember, there are two tops that come with this jar, and both must be screwed on when used. That's fine for a food jar that you want to make sure your noodles and soup don't escape due to a pressure fit lid accident. But a screw top design for a coffee mug is inconvenient. In short, if you want a food jar this product will work great. But if you are primarily interested in a coffee/drink mug, a better product would be the Timolino 20 oz. @tanium II Travel Mug.

Effective, but unergonomic and fatiguingOkay, I bought for the price. And it is effective enough. But it is very clumsy and unergonomic, so that after a couple minutes of use it is difficult to handle any longer. The main problems are: Balance of weight, and the switch.
First, the switch: Because it is a cheap push-in button, which must be constantly depressed to keep the knife on, you lose optimum control quickly. The handle is badly placed for this, as your thumb must always be on TOP of the handle and forward toward the front of it, but you can't hold your hand up there because your wrist angle will be completely wrong for cutting. In addition, keeping that button depressed is difficult not only because it does require a constant application of pressure at a different direction from both the grasp and the application of the knife, but because the button sinks deep into the handle, so your thumb is inside the handle as you're trying to hold and control the knife: Quick cramp. Moreover, as you're pushing it in, if the food you're cutting is moist (like a turkey), juices may run onto the handle, your thumb--and into the hole into which you're pressing the button. NOT safe. A couple times I've wondered whether that shooting pain in my thumb was from nerve torture or electric shock; either way, it wasn't good.
Then the weight distribution of the knife is not very good. Look at the huge bulk of the motor--and then look at where the handle is located, and how it is designed. There's no way to hold this at a proper angle with the handle shaped as it is. Add in the need to be depressing the power button as you're holding it awkwardly, and...
2 stars for effectiveness; minus 3 for bad functional design.

Great replacement for my 20 year old electric knifeWe only pull it out twice a year, Chistmas and Thanksgiving, but it's great to have one sharp and ready to go again. After 20 years, my old one was putting up a struggle.
