Seems to work fine.

Note that this is NOT for most household appliances. It uses the 220-type plug and socket, and will not work in household outlets and devices with standard lamp and small-appliance plugs.

The description probably needs to emphasize this more to avoid returns.

Toastmaster slicer worked beautifully until the plastic adjustment knob broke. No replacement part was available from the manufacturer. This makes the product useless

I was looking for a light duty food (i.e. meat/cheese) slicer, and decided to give this "inexpensive" product a try. The "inexpensive" turned out to be plain ol' [not good]. Motor is very weak, and tends to shuts off after few minutes of regular use (when I got it, the motor housing seemed so small that I had my doubts). Another major problem is the thickness adjuster. It does not matter what setting you choose, it does not hold it. It just moves with applied pressure. A third problem is the safety button, I found out that it really needs two hands to press and hold down the two buttons (the On and the safety buttons).

Simply, after the first use, I decided to no longer own this product. I will to continue to search for a better one, and I expect to pay more for a real solid light duty slicer.

This is by far one of my favorite knives. It's full tang (you can even see that the tang is attatched to the handle by a 1/8 diameter piece of metal).

When I opened it up the blade was razor-sharp, I almost cut myself checking it out, and it came with a nice diamond sharpener that can be stored in a small pocket built into the sheath.

the only thing that I don't like is that the sheath looks like you could put the knife in with the blade facing either way but it only slides in easily in one direction.
