I purchased the 6-Quart freezer in May 05 and I am very dissapointed for the following reason. Not long after we received it it started leaking thru the sides (seams) between the slats.. We contacted Amazon and they told us to soak the wooden tub in water for at least 24 hours, and the wood would swell to stop the leak..Well we soaked the tub for the 24 hours and after some time we got it out to use again and the side had separated about 1/4 inch between 2 of the slats. Needless to say it will not hold the brian now to make it freeze, so I guess it is totally worthless..Now to say the least I am very very dissapointed after spending all the money for this freezer.

The White Mountain Ice Cream Freezer is worth the money. The ice cream had a very smooth texture and maintained freshness in the freezer as long as it lasted. (This wasn't very long, though) I bought the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream book, and used the White Mountain. My whole family was quite impressed.

One word of warning: The triple churning motion must really whip up the ice cream, because what was supposed to be a 4qt recipe made well over 6qt. I had ice cream coming out the top.

The whole product is quality. I have had other ice cream freezers in the past, but none as nice as this. The bucket is well crafted and the dasher is metal and wood and has considerably more heft than those plastic dashers you might find in a cheaper model. This thing looks very durable and I look forward to making ice cream for many years.

I have yet to find a good toaster that doesn't break the bank. This toaster, while inexpensive, is not worth the money in my opinion. The browning level is not very consistent (one batch will be untoasted, the next too dark), and sometimes toast will come out with brown patterns (half-toasted). It is durable, though - we've been using it for over a year now. I guess it's not too bad if we are still using it....

This thing works great. It toasts the second batch faster than the first, more evenly than the first, etc. ...just as any other toaster. It has wide slots and takes up little space on the counter. What more is there? The CANCEL button. Oh, yeah! The cancel button is the home run on this inexpensive toaster.

What a lemon. The first few times I used this machine I loved it. Then the tank started leaking. Then the springs fell out. Then the motor went 2 days after the warranty expired, but Hoover was kind enough to fix it for free. Then life was good for a few months. Then the leaking got so bad I finally called Hoover and they sent a free tank (I guess the problem is very common). Then the motor blew up AGAIN!!! The only good thing about this machine is its ability to suck the water out of your carpet... when it works. I went out and bought a Bissell Proheat 2x and am much happier with it.

The SteamVac is all that we expected and more. It cleans extremely well and leaves the carpet almost dry. There is no guess work. the machine does it all.

Although much lighter than my previous appliance, I found this unit to be easy to use and the indictor light accurate.

I used my quesadilla maker for the first time recently. It was very quick and easy, and did a good job cooking the quesadilla evenly. My only gripe would be that it doesn't actually cut the tortilla into slices, which I had been under the impression it did. It does however seal the quesadilla into seperate sections, which I was then able to cut myself. All in all, a worthwhile purchase and something I will definitely use again and again.

I love my quesadilla maker! It was so easy to use and made a quick, delicious dinner. It comes with a recipe book that has wonderful ideas for dessert quesadillas...yum,yum!

I just cant believe that after all these years they have not perfected the vacuum. You'd think they could have done that by now but nooo...at least I havent found it. If you have, please email me and let me know what it is?

Anyway, first the good about this vacuum: I think the candy apple red color is beautiful. The suction on this thing is pretty amazing. Even though years back I vowed I wouldnt get a bagless vac because they are disgusting to empty, due to issues with my bag vac at the time giving me troubles with installing the bags and leaking stuff out every time I changed it, I decided to try this one...And I'll tell you - every time you fill that cup up you are AMAZED at the crap in your carpets. I think my family should all be dead with whats going on in our carpets!! LOL!! So you do get a feeling of accomplishment when you fill up the dirt cup. The fact that you can turn the roller brush off and that it goes off automatically when in the upright position is a nice feature.

Now the bad things: The worst problem is that if you over fill the dirt cup the dirt gets sucked up into the top portion of the collection cup, up by the filter and gets stuck there...so then you have to pull it out by hand (UUUHHHHHHGGGGG!!!!)...I even have to get my old vac out to clean up the mess inside the collection cup area.(the filter up there unscrews by hand, but there is still dirt that sticks up there). As a rule I try to empty the cup after vacuming each room but, godforbid you forget, or have an extra dirty room and it fills up faster then your stuck cleaning out the mess by hand etc...I find the lift off feature doesnt help me (maybe thats because I dont have stairs)...but when I tried to use the lift off feature to get to some tight areas, it tipped over and was so annoying that never again!! Mine didnt come with a strap, maybe if I had a strap and could carry it, it would be better. I also dont like the tools it comes with. I just dont think that they are very comfortable to use. Not all of them fit onboard the vacuum so you need a place to store them. I also dont think that the vac works that great on bare floors (whether the roller brush is on or off).

I just want a perfect vacuum...is that so wrong???

This is an excellent vacuum. I used to have Dirt Devil but I don't really like it because of the clean-up issue. This one does the job very well. I've used it for almost 2 years now and you can actually clean the parts easily. I don't understand about the comments made by the other reviewer. I don't really need to use screwdriver to clean the top part of this vacuum. All you need to do is just twist it and it will pop out.

Normally, I would clean the parts twice a year, and after that the vacuum cleaner works well after it's been clean.

I've tried several such items (including these).

If you look for the under sink kind of filter (Omni was what I went with) you can get a nice .5 micron filter system for about $50 for the whole kit.
Filters are about $15 and do 550-750 gallons each (ie last 4-6 months for most people) ...
Bottom line you buy one for $50 and install it (pretty easy if you're at all handy ... handy 101 ... basic stuff) ...
then for about $45 per year you have lot's of very high quality filtered water.

THIS THING DOES LIKE 40 GALLONS ... DO THE MATH ... IT'S EXPENSIVE AND A PAIN IN THE b&## ... AND DOESN'T DO AS MUCH AS A HIGHER GRADE FILTER.

Have been using it for a few years. Only complaint is for whatever reason this type is not widely available in stores when compared to Bretta brand

Have used my pur water picture for over a year now & it is nice to get the filters so easily.

I tried a Haier 65 pint and it was louder on its low setting than this one is on its high setting. The Haier also started short-cycling after about 5 days of operation. After that bad experience, I spent a couple of hours reading every review of dehumidifiers I could find, and decided to go with the Soleus based on the fact that it was supposed to be the quietest. WHAT A HUGE IMPROVEMENT over the Haier!

I would give this model 5 stars, but it has these "deficiencies" when compared to other models:

1. No temperature and humidity display. Ok, I agree, it doesn't affect the operation, but it's one of those things I did like about the Haier. Granted, on the Haier, all the display did was show me that the thing stopped working.

2. The hose connection needs to be punched out and is not a threaded connection for a garden hose, although my garden hose slips over the connection just fine when I cut off the hose end.

3. The unit does not return to "on" after power goes out. I really wanted this feature so that I could put the unit on a timer to run for x hours every day.

4. It's not Energy Star rated. It is only 330W though, which is much less than other similarly sized models.

In summary: Don't waste your time with all the other models available. The Soleus works fine and I can't hear it in the next room even when the fan is on HI.

PS: Look around and you may find a deal like I did. I paid just 139 at a big box.

I decided, just before the summer heat started, to buy only one air conditioner for my bedroom and a dehumidifier for the living room to provide some comfort. Believe it or not it works great! At least this brand does. My living room has 10' ceilings and is approximately 400 square feet (including a kitchen.) The room is still warm especially when the temperature reaches 80, but there is no discomfort. The only down side is the warm air released by unit. The living room cools off as long as I have my Vornado fan (best fan in the world) blowing cool air from the bedroom to living room.

I purchased this dehumidifier for mainly basement use, but wanted one quiet enough for use upstairs if needed. And, boy is this thing quiet. My refrigerator is louder. I also own a Fedders 45 pint unit and a Whirlpool 65 pint noise maker. The Fedders (Maytag) was the quiet champ untill I purchased the Soleus Air CFM-40E. The Whirlpool removes an amazing amount of water, but can be heard UPSTAIRS when running in the basement. So it is used only when needed. The Soleus Air is so quiet I have to go down the basement stairs and visually check to see if the unit is on. Can't say that for many dehumidifiers. My only complaint is that the fan is always on, even when it has reached the set humidity level. This prevents the short cycling the others do, on for 2 minutes off for 2 minutes or so, but I think prevents an Energy Star certification. At 2.9 amps it draws significantly less than the Fedders 5.6 amps and the Whirlpool's 7.9 amps.

The Soleus Air works great (so far) upstairs in the spring, when it is cool but damp, like the weather this week. Here in Wisconsin it is in the 60's but rainy, so the house is humid. Running the central air is not necessary since the house is not hot. So I use a dehumidifier, which makes the house seem less clammy. I would recommend the Soleus Air CFM-40E to anyone who is looking for a small, really quiet, relatively light, medium capacity (40pint) dehumidifier that simply does what is supposed to do (remove water from air) with out excess noise.

As this is to be a wedding gift in the fall, we have not opened the carton and cannot review the cookware set.

I was so excited with the pans when I first bought them (as it came with tons of promises and hype) but after three years of use I'm quiet disappointed. At first I thought it was my fault. I tried to baby the pots as much as I could but nothing worked (I followed the instructions very well). Everything burns when I use them especially the frypans / skillets burns stuff right away. They are very hard to clean (believe me I tried). If you want quality stuff try All Clad or Faberware (if you want something cheaper) but stay away from this set.

Ups:
-They are decent pans, looks great when you first take them out.
-They are sturdy and I use metal utensils to cook, I like that.
-The attached aluminum plate in the bottom helps spread and retain heat, if your stove isn't that powerful.

Downs:
-I like to sear and stir fry a lot with hot pans, so they will discolor a little with heat. Overheated oil will cause black oil spots on the pan that are hard to remove.
-You need the pan to be hot so that it doesn't stick, and you will need to use a little more oil than typical. If you don't do either of these, your non-greasy food WILL stick to the pan.
-The aluminum plate takes some time to heat up.
-The aluminum plate reduces the responsiveness of "lowering the flames" on your stove. Less control.

What this set needs:
Large Pan
Non-stick omlette pan
Wok

The wireless remote became defective almost immediately. I contacted Taylor and they said the wireless version was discontinued. They very nicely sent me the non-wireless version for free. They also included an instant-read thermometer.

Overall, I'm pleased with Taylor as a compnay.

If the probe was not so fragile I'd give this unit 5 stars. The remote works well although I have had it lose contact with the sender if I was out in front of my house (my grill is on the back deck). This is a minor annoyance, but what really ticked me off was that the probe failed (indicating "HIGH" reading) in conditions where my MIU France unit keeps on going. Unfortunately the MIU France unit doesn't have the remote capability. I purchased about 5 extra probes for the Taylor unit directly from Taylor by mail. But within a few weeks several of those failed. I don't mind having to replace a probe once in a while but when you have to replace two in one cooking session it gets pretty annoying. I'd suggest staying away from this unit.
