I had an old microwaveable rice cooker that worked well, it broke, so I purchased this one. I have used it a couple times now and every time it makes a mess in the microwave. The plastic gets hot and loses its tight seal and water leaks everywhere. The rice comes out perfect, but the mess is not worth it.

I ordered this device based on the positive reviews here on Amazon. I first mixed a cup of brown rice according to the instructions. Nuked it for the recommended amount of time. Not done. I do it again. Not done. Add a cup of water. Not done. OK, whatever, dump it in a bowl and keep going.

I get some converted white rice. Put in two cups with the recommended amount of water, nuke it for the recommended amount of time. Not done. Do it for five minutes more. Not done. Do it five minutes more. Not done?

By this time, you might guess I'm on a mission. I take the undercooked brown and mix it with the undercooked white. I pack it all in the cooker. By this time, after seeing all sorts of starch on the lid, I drop the power from the recommended high to medium high. Add a cup of water and nuke for five minutes.

Suck. Dang. Add a cup of water and nuke for five minutes.

Suck. Dang. Add another cup of water and nuke for five minutes.

Still suck! What the heck is going on? Add another cup of water and nuke for five minutes.

Barely... barely acceptable.

I had high hopes for this device, but it just doesn't do what it claims to do. Ever. Suck.

Sigh.

Unfortunately I bought this product based on the positive reviews.

First I cooked rice. The lid system does not keep the water from boiling over, so the rice cooked well, but it worked no better than cooking rice in a mixing bowl in the microwave.

Next I cooked pasta. It worked, but again, the water boiling over makes this appliance no better than a mixing bowl for microwave cooking.

Next I cooked popcorn. It left many kernals unpopped when the already popped corn began to scorch. Unsatisfactory.

Next time I tried to use it, I noticed a serious water leak where one of the feet attaches to the bowl. It will no longer retain water, and so is completely unusable. It was washed only by hand, never in a dishwasher.

Since I bought it through the mail from Amazon, and it was only a few dollars, it is not worth returning it for a refund. So it is a total loss.

Don't say nobody warned you.

This is a fabulous pan; it came this afternoon and I could barely get it washed before my husband was using it; it did everything a wonderful pan should do, and cleaned up like a charm.

The best review I can give you is that the entire time he was using this pan, my husband just kept saying, "This is a GREAT pan." (I'm glad he loves it!)

This particular pattern in black cafe is very suimple, yet very nice because they make quyite a bit of accesories, too. I was surprised how sturdy the glasses are. I dropped one about 14 inches in my sink and it did not break. i am very pleased. the delivery was very fast. Arrived unbroken.

I was So happy to get this machine, I was tired of spending almost $2 every day for a cup of coffee.
The cup is a little small, and does make the coffee start to taste a little 'plastic-y' after a while, I'm glad it's summer so I just make iced coffee and there is no odd flavor. The coffee is brewed pretty fast and makes a great cup of coffee. I use folgers original blend and I am very happy with this coffee maker. It fits perfectly onto my counter in my little kitchen in my apartment and doesn't take up much space at all.

I would definitely recommend this coffee maker to anyone that is looking.

Highly recommended item. I use it every day. Brews a great cup of coffee. Durable item. Simple to use and clean out. You can brew many cups right after each other.
I actually bought this one model because it comes with a plastic mug. The plastic mug can go into the microwave to re-heat coffee which I often have to do because I do not drink the coffee right away (get distracted doing other things), then you can just put the mug in the microwave. The other models with stainless steel mugs can not be microwaved... For me this is an important feature. Also, the mugs are nice, comfortable and the lids stay on well, but not too well that you need a pliers to remove the lid.
I found that SOME finely gound coffee may clog up the filter and does not let the hot water drip thru. Instead the water back logs into the water storage area. However, my usual Folgers or Maxwell House work coffee grinds work fine and do not cause this problem.
Also, a minor problem is that it drips a little coffee into where the mug was removed for several minutes after you think the maker is completed. Therefore, you always need to lay down a paper towel when you remove the mug.
These are minor complaints to a FINE item that is a real time saver for me every morning.

Wow, this was such an impressive product and I had such a positive experience that I bought an extra one for my office. I have used this now for more than a year and I use it daily. It definitely stands up to a lot of usage with no problems and it consistently makes a great cup of coffee. I have had absolutely no problems with the one in my kitchen or office. They are still going strong and it is amazing how cheap and well designed these are.

I must admit that I tossed the plastic insulated coffee mug that comes with them and just use coffee mugs. It is great it fits many different sizes. The design is great and the wire mesh filter is very easy to clean and you can stick it in on the top shelf of your dishwasher.

I got my family using it and now all of my brothers and sisters have them too. Even if you have to make a couple cups of coffee it is so easy and quick it is not a problem even if you are making coffee for a couple dinner guests.

I could not recommend this product enough. Who needs a pod when you can get a great cup of coffee without the hype and the high prices??? Even when my current one fizzles I will buy a new one to replace it.

I was very skeptical after reading several other reviews. Product works well in very small areas, such as bathrooms. When it comes to larger spaces (my house is all tile except for the bedrooms) it is easier to sweep or vacuum and then mop. The mop function on this unit is awkward for a large area and what you have vacuumed up (i.e. dog hair) gets wet and stuck in the suction area. I would only recommend this for very small or quick clean ups. A little disappointed, but I do use this at times for small area clean up.

I looked at wood floor cleaners for several months and finally decided on this one. I chose the Flip-It for the price which was much lower and for the size. This unit if very light weight and easy to store and tote around. I felt like the larger cleaner would be too much trouble to drag in and out. I have wood floors in the kitchen, nook, and foyer and I can clean the entire area with one tank and still have a little left over. It's not any faster than mopping but it's much easier. My floors really clean and who wouldn't love that!

Product arrived on day promised. The cleaner was ordered by my mother, who is no longer physically able to keep her bare floors as clean as desired by other methods. She tells me that she is very satisfied with the product. It cleans the floor to her high standards with a minimum of time and labor.

These are handy little grills for quick homemade sandwiches.
However, when I was shopping locally for them, I found both WalMart and National Grocers (Owen Sound, ON) were selling them for $9.95 Cdn, exact same models, right down to the red and green lights and grill design inside.
The price point here seems a little high.... like, about 200% high. Or are we in a local pricing anomaly?

I made a few sandwiches in my grill, and I am satisfied with this product. I don't think the pockets are shallow. I like to overstuff my sandwiches, and it always comes out good

I bought this kitchen gadget three years ago, and I am very happy with my purchase.

I use it to make warm sandwiches of molten cheese, or cheese mixed with eggs. Very easy to operate and to clean. When the sandwich is ready, the light changes to green. You can also use it to cook eggs, or warm bread. I think it would make a very valuable addition to the kitchens of those who don't cook otherwise.

I dropped it once and some of the plastic cover broke, but I glued it back and it is as good as new.

It doesn't matter if you are a professional Sushi Chef or just an amateur preparing your first sushi roll - Express Home Sushi Maker is deffinitely a product to buy! I made 6 rolls of different sushi in less than an hour (this was the first time in my life to make sushi) and it looked (and tasted) like from a first Class Sushi Bar.
I also ordered Sushi Ingredients Kit from Food Adventures and all ingredients were excellent and they shipped the items very fast. I highly recommend them.

As of 9 Dec 2005, the product picture shows the filter as being for a PUR Ultimate system, but what is actually sent are filters for a completely different system - 3 stage. They will not work in the Ultimate system. Shame on Target and Amazon for their attempt at deceit or ignorance in product visualization.

Recived one filter not two as advertized. I will not do transactions with this vender again.

PUR is the best water filtration company i've stumbled upon. Their PUR Ultimate filters litterally make water better, healthier and great tasting. Just go to the store and see all the contaminants, chemicals and pesticides these filters remove. I guarantee you Brita filters don't remove farmland pesticides or certain bacteria.

Good product but "on" button stopped working after about 3 months (100 uses or so).

The first one I bought leaked after a week. It was replaced and the second machine leaked after 6 months...could not take it back because the store stopped stocking this machine.

If does make a great cup of cocoa...just has many machanical problems.

I as given this as a gift for xmas and use it everyday. I personally like the temperature of the drink as it is hot enought to require gentle blowing, but not so hot that you scald your tongue. I use it for cocoa, chai tea, and warm drinks. Like others said, it is supposed to hold 4 cups, but if you go above three it will spill over the top when it starts to foam. I tend to do 2 cups at a time, so this is not a huge issue for me. I like that it stays hot as long as it is plugged in so I can make one batch of tea and have some in the morning and then later in the day. I find that it is plenty frothy as well. I do agree with others that cleaning is an issue. With mine, the tea and cocoa tend to leave a residue on the bottom which is hard to clean since you can't submerge it. Not the best design in regard to that. It is loud, but I put my ingrediants in and then go and take a shower so I don't really hear it. You can do coffee, teac, cocoa, warm cider, hot toddy's etc in this little pot. Overall, I like having it and it for the price is a nice little appliance to have if you like hot drinks.
