I first became hooked on electric kettles when traveling in the U.K. and have kept putting off getting one. This is perfect for my six (O, heavens did I really say six!) cups of tea a day. Faster than the microwave (only because its actually boiled and hot) and no worrys about...did I leave the stove on as it has a brilliant auto shut-off. It even stays plenty warm enough to top off the first cup of tea. I love it, am only sorry it took this many years to indulge my self with such a simple product!

P.S -- Terrific on snowy days when the kids come in and want hot coco...FAST! (Makes one feel like SuperMom for the rare second or two!!! )

I asked for this for Christmas so I could make tea at my desk at work. I can't believe how fast this heats the water to a rapid boil! I also love that the cord detaches for easier pouring. The water is hot enough for tea, instant oatmeal and cup-a-soups; I've made all three easily at my desk with this. It's attractive and it has auto shut-off - good for those with short attention spans like me! The water stays warm enough in the pitcher that sometimes I can get a second cup of tea without turning it back on. You do have to have enough water to cover the coils before you turn it on, but that hasn't been a problem for me. I love this one. I used to have a HotPot that took FOREVER to boil the same amount of water.

I bought this waffle iron as a Christmas gift for my daughter and her fiance. They said it worked for one waffle, and then "died". I expected better from Hamilton Beach.

Bought this for my mom for her b-day - she wanted a huge one that you often see at hotels, but I thought this would be smaller and easier for her to use. She LOVES it. Says it makes the best waffles ever - light and crispy. So a big thumbs up from mom!

This is just a great waffle maker. My family loves waffles and this little waffle maker really meets our needs. I also had a problem with sticking but once I added a little more oil to the batter it has worked beautifully since. Waffle batter and pancake batter, as previously mentioned, should not be used interchangibly with this waffle maker. I just couldn't be more pleased with this product.

This is a good light-duty vacuum. Convenience is the best feature. Being cordless, it can be used anywhere, and it's very lightweight

I am pretty pleased with this cordless vac. The power is better than most.

I only have 2 minor annoyances:
(1) The little rollers which glide the vacuum make a lot of noise.
(2) The Vacuum hanger does not automatically charge. If you use the hanger...you also have to retrieve and plug in the cord to charge. IT seems like it would have been easy to automatically charge when you hang the vacuum (like most Vacuums).

Overall... I am pleased with this product....just minor improvements would have made it even better.

I bought one of the less expensive green aluminum juicers and it broke in the middle of the first lime. This is solidly built and I expect it to last for a very long time. Also, it's longer handle means it's easier to use.

I ordered two lime squeezers, one from some place in Utah and this one. The one from Utah was a piece of junk. It had metal flakes coming off the squeezer (in case you wanted to add some toxicity to your juice) and when you tried to squeeze with it, the skin from your hand gets pinched between the two handles ... OUCH! It costed $9.99 but was worthless.

This one costed $19.99 and was well worth it. The smooth handles don't pinch your skin at all. In fact I let my kid use all the time. It works great on those medium sized limes. You see the juice flow out nice and uniformly. I do recommend microwaving refrigerated limes for 30-sec before cutting in half and squeezing. This lime-squeezer juices about 8 to 10 times faster than by just squeezing the lime with your hands.

I've tried it on key-limes (they're real small like 1-inch in diameter). It works well, except that after you squeeze the key-lime once, you have to pop it back into shape and squeeze the same half again to get more juice. I usually do this three times per key-lime.

I have not tried lemons, though I'm sure it will work fine. I would not try to do oranges (maybe clementines). This squeezer was clearly built for the smaller, more potent fruits.

Cleaning is a cinch. Just run it under warm water and some soap and you're done. This is one of the best buys I've ever made.

Oh I forgot to mention that I'm a man. Why does this matter? Cause you need a little strength to squeeze with this thing. It's strong, sturdy and safe, but you'll need some forearm power. My kid definitely has trouble squeezing without help. Perhaps after microwaving the limes, if you roll them firmly on a cutting board or counter-top that might make it easier.

If you're a lime-aholic, this is a must-buy!!!

My wife brought this thing home to upgrade our old [original] GF grill.
So, after reading a bunch of reviews, I cracked the box open and played around with it a bit too see for myself.
Since the removable plates are a concern of others, I concentrated on them.
Sure enough, they are a bear to attach.
And I'm talking for *me*. [a reasonably mechanically inclined male]
My wife would be using the thing most, and she had a hard time with both plates -especially top one.

On closer inspection of the plate latching mechanisms, I can see why they don't work well: Just plain poor design.

Also, even when they are properly fastened, the plates are still loose and float around some.
This could cause issues with uneven heating because of poor contact between the plates and the surface over the heating element.

A better design would have the heating surface countersunk, and the back of the plates formed to mate securely.
[not to mention an idiot-proof latch with a positive 'click' when the plates are secured properly]

An amusing note:
There are 2 warnings [a sticker on top of the unit, and an orange paper in between the plates] that state:
IMPORTANT
'Make sure that BOTH release handles of the grilling plates are properly latched and secured on the grilling machine body before use.'

Riiiiight!
Here's an IMPORTANT tip, Salton:
Make sure that your products aren't so rinky-dink as to warrant such warnings!

This poorly designed appliance shall be returned.

This was a Mothers Day gift,and what a timely gift. It was already getting very warm here in Texas. Since I am not an outdoor grilling person, I am so happy with the GM large
grill. It keeps the kitchen cool, no oven or many burners going. I love the removable grill plates, they are easy to remove and to clean.I use it in the mornings for French Toast
and in the evenings we have had chicken, pork tenders, burgers
grilled sandwiches, and on and on. A very good thing!

I have not had or used this timer/thermometer a ton but I am very impressed with its ease of use. This simple little gadget makes me smile everytime I use it because it is just so easy to set and walk away from without a worry. I do kind of wish you could set the timer and the thermostat at the same time but on the other hand it may not be as easy to use if this was the case either.

Durability is very important to me too so I want to be clear I have only used a dozen or so times but I have no reason to think it will not be at this point. I am most concerned about the probe based on other reviews but so far it has worked perfectly even in hotter then 350 oven. The part you stick into the meat is kind of long but I have found ways to make it work without too much trouble so far.

If the probe fails me I will write a follow up review but for now I just can't give it less then four out of five stars if for no other reason then how perfect the user interface is.

I find this thermometer to be one of the best working and easiest working that I've ever used. Both my wife and I could not be happier and you should see a pork roast when the interior is done!

Been using this model for a couple of months now and it works just fine.

If you like cannister vacuum cleaners w/ bags, I recommend the Hoover S3639. I have used similar cannisters over the last 15 years, and besides doing a good job, this one has the advantages of looking great, having an extra small power brush for steps, and a fantastic price thru Amazon. Also, it was delivered to my door w/o shipping costs!
It is easy to carry, has a good set of tools, and a powered brush w/ a light to vacuum rugs.
Once the dirt bag is full, you throw it away--less work than bagless vacs.

When Fed Ex delivered the vacuum nobody was home so they tossed it over an 8 foot fence onto a concrete sidewalk. The vacuum still worked perfectly. Great product from Hoover, brain dead service from the delivery company.

This item is easy to use, but does not last very long. Luckily, it is inexpensive, so I don't mind buying replacements

Teachers are using this timer for reading screening assessments. Easy to use, the beeper isn't overpowering and is perfect for our use. We need both the minute and second feature, resetting is easy to use and reliable.

The timers work fine (it's been 3 months). I bought 8 for my reading class for timed readings. The beep is not too loud, at least it doesn't seem to distract the students. I like how it counts up and down, which most timers don't have. It's also great that it counts up to 99 minutes. The Pyrex timers only count up to 20 minutes. Definitely would recommend it.

I love my new Rowenta Iron. It is slightly heavier than my previous Rowenta (which I had for 20 years), and I like that. It requires a bit less of my own pressure. The large water tank is great, as are the extra steam and spray features. Rowentas are great irons!

I just got though ironing 5 pairs of linen slacks. I was going to bring them to the dry cleaners to press becuase I couldn't get the wrinkles out to wear to work. I dreaded spending the money on that. I figured I would give the iron a shot. In one second I flet the difference, I had a beautiful professional looking crease, with one swipe on linen and with steam. I gave the pockets and xtra burst of steam, and I was done, like a handkerchief, I didn't want to stop, and I hate to iron. You can not go wrong with this item.

Bought in 12/05. I too have a problem with the spring popping out. It appears that the locking mechanism is the cause. Not well engineered. I removed the locking mechanism with pliers. Would not recommend.

I have so many sets of tongs that I can compare these well. The locking features is terrific, and the the rubber handles are great. Love 'em!
