The Coopers microbrewery kit comes with everything you need to make and bottle six gallons of good American style beer. Of course you will need to provide the water. Spring water is an excellent choice. Tap water will do in a pinch, or if you are pinching pennies, though it would better if you didn't.

I have no complaints. I did invest in a 6 gallon glass secondary fermenter, to age future batches in for a couple of weeks before bottling.

No problems with the valve not getting tight enough in the fermenting bucket here, like described below. All you have to do, is tighten the thing one more full turn. It's not that hard.

I bought this kit for my boyfriend for a Christmas present last year and due to time and family stuff, we just got around to making our first batch. It was easy to make, the instructions were very easy to understand and came out tasting great! I would highly recommend this for any brew aficionado!

I had been thinking about brewing beer for years. I finally decided to get this kit after trying a Coopers beer that was brewed by a friend. This was a great introduction to brewing. This kit has everything you need to brew great beer and the process is simple. The initial mixing took about one hour, then a week later I filled the bottles in less than a hour. The beer is great and I will be brewing some of the other Coopers beers soon.

Well made, with a selection of utensils included. Gave one to my daughter for her kitchen and she loves it. Well put together and the colors stand out. Excellent addition to your Fat Chef collection.

I bought this September 05. It makes strong kinds of plastic smells. Even though washing this, it sitill make strong smell so, I can't use it now. I hope to return it but, retunring shipping cost is same as product price.

Great quality. Lots of ways to measure. They are perfect for me. I love how they have the 1/3 cup within the 2/3 cup and so on. It is just what I needed and great quality unlike my past plastic ones that had handles that broke off.

I don't know about any funny smell because my cups came brand new and wrapped in plastic. These cups are GREAT! Not only do they look great and blend in with my other Calphalon products but they also have marks on the outside of the cup which let you know how much you are using. For example , the 1 cup measurement has marks on the outside that show what level you can fill to get 1/4, 1/2, etc. The other side of the cups shows your measurements in tablespoons. This is really good for baking and precise measurements. It especially comes in handy when you need 3/8 of something and you can use the cup for a precise measurement instead of trying to compute fractions in your head. It is worth the few bucks.

Love the style but it is top-heavy and falls over very easily.

If you don't care about clean-up, even grinding or grinding quality, don't read this review. That said, cleaning this grinder at any point is a major pain. The blade makes it hard to get the grinder well-cleaned. You can't put water in it because the water will seep into the mechanism (which makes one wonder if the grounds are doing the same thing). The coffee is somewhat chunky and very unevenly ground and the quality of it is very poor. I like Braun products generally, but this is a dud. The only reason I give it more than one stars is the fact that at least this one didn't fall apart like the krups one I had owned previously.

Lift cap. Pour in whole beans. Replace cap. Press button for five seconds -- longer if you want expresso. It makes perfect coffee grounds each and every time. This Brauns grinds a lot of beans at one time.

Depending on the oil content of the beans, some grinds (like flavored) might stick to the bottom of grinder. To loosen them, tap the Brauns gently against your palm.

To clean, unplug grinder. Wipe down grinding area with damp paper towel.

This grinder doesn't take up much counter space. It grinds the beans evenly. You control the machine and the type of grind you want. The longer you push the cap's button, the smaller the grounds will be.

I've had my Braun for eight years. I use it every day. It hasn't failed me yet. When and if it does, I'll buy another in the blink of an eye.

I looked over the reviews here last November and decided on this grinder to pair up with my husband's Black&Decker Brew 'N Go 1-cup Coffeemaker as part of his Christmas gift (2005). Before I recieved it/gave it to him, I ran into an acquaintance at Starbucks while shopping for the whole bean coffee to go with the gift. She's, oh, in her late 30's/early 40's and only confirmed my decision by saying that SHE also has a Braun grinder - the SAME Braun grinder she's had since COLLEGE and she uses it every day and has never had a complaint. Now THAT's a TESTIMONIAL! It's been a full four months for our little grinder and my husband couldn't be happier with his cup of fresh-ground coffee when he wants it. I am VERY pleased with my purchase and so is he!!!!!
