I bought this vacuum after reading so many great reviews of it.. sure it is powerful and big, it is very very heavy and the button to release it so it will vacuum sticks often and doesn't depress easily. It is not worth the price in my opinion I wish I had gotten an Oreck XL as I had been considering and --perhaps I got a lemon, but I can't return it to Eureka either for some reason which I still don't get since I bought it less than a year ago.

I have hardwood floors and a few large area rugs.....and cats. I have two rugs whose main colors are black and white. My last vacuum left a layer of cat hair on the rugs that made them look dirty even after vacuuming. The first day I used this vacuum I was instantly hooked. My rugs went back to black and looked clean and new again. I didn't think they'd ever look that nice again.

The vacuum is heavy, but it's worth it. It's suction power is still VERY powerful even after 6 months of daily use. I got this vacuum around Christmas time after doing all my research and reading a ton of reviews and weighing the pros and cons.

I waited 6 months before writing the review just to see if anything came up. Six months into it and I still love it.

There are two issues that you should know about though: the lever that makes it recline is tough to depress. You really have to give it some weight to get it to release. The other thing is that the lever that switches it from carpet to hardwood floors is also very difficult to depress. I actually had to email their customer service to figure that out because I thought it was faulty. Turns out you just have to be rough with it and MAKE it click. After the first few tough clicks it works fine.

Those are the only two drawbacks, and they're not even really drawbacks-more of FYIs.
It has really helped me keep the place clean. I love it. I would buy it again and again if I had to.

You will not be sorry you bought this vacuum, ESPECIALLY if you have pets!

So glad I read Consumer Reports reviews and other Amazon customer reviews before I purchased another vacuum. It came with an extra six bags and one extra belt. One reviewer said she had never seen such a flimsy vacuum belt which is true, but it seems to do the job! A vacuum repairman once told me that vacuum belts should be changed every 3 to 6 months instead of waiting until they break.

I love this vacuum because it has such power, with the necessary attachments, and it is very quiet compared to other vacuums I have owned with much less power.

The Eureka 3870DT is a great buy. The bags are easy to change and the instructions are easy to understand...so save those instructions!

One warning to those with any physical limitations or lots of stairs! This is a very heavy vacuum! Another style of vacuum would perhaps be a better choice.

Go for it if you want a quiet and powerful vacuum that performs well.

I gave up on plastic chip clips after my mom showed me an obvious improvement: Binder clips. All metal construction, and a box of 12 costs less than just one of these plastic clips. I use them everywhere. Only loss is that they don't have magnets on them.

These items are what they are. They have a magnet on the back, allowing them to be placed on the refrigerator to great effect. For the purpose of keeping bagged dry items fresh, they are simply too small to accomplish the job. Oxo does make a wider clip for this purpose; I haven't purchased them yet so I can't offer any real opinion but it's my guess that they probably work better for the purpose of clipping chip bags closed.

These clips are very handy, very sturdy, colorful and fun. Unlike some of the cheap plastic clips that have metal parts that break after using them once of twice, these will last and last and keep holding those bags of chips closed tight!

I purchased this pan to grill vegetables in the house, not meat. I quickly discovered that this pan needs a lot of extra seasoning when you receive it if you are going to use it with extremely low fat food. I only gave it one application of oil and baked it in the oven, and my first batch of Portobello mushrooms stuck terribly to the surface.

Given that this is not my first cast iron pan, and that I have been cooking for 25 years, I expected one heavy application of oil should be adequate for a pre-seasoned pan. One application of oil is no where near adequate. If you choose to purchase this pan and cook mostly vegetables, expect to have to spend a couple of days seasoning the pan in order to have your vegetables not stick.

Now that I have spent a week of so seasoning the pan, it is fine, and reasonably non-stick. But, the paperwork that comes with the pan is deceptive since it claims that the pre-seasoning avoids this process.

I would purchase this product again because I am a little concerned about the perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) that is used in the non-stick process. But, I would have preferred to have the company be honest about the status of the pans interior when it is shipped.

My mom and I each bought one of the UNSEASONED griddle/grill items. I still have yet to season mine and I will soon. It took about 5 seasonings & several uses to get my moms up to "seasoned" standards but once it was good-it was FABULOUS! We have several Lodge pieces between us and we are never disappointed. They are hefty, strong pieces that can take scrubbing and heat. I never have problems maintaing heat and cooking is much easier with cast iron. I recently tried to cook dinner for my boyfriend on his electric stove w/ hard anodized pans and I was really frustrated. They over heated fast and cooked unevenly. If you are thinking about cast iron-DON'T-just get it-you won't be disappointed-plus you can get a mini work-out while you cook! :)

This Hamilton Bch Air Purifier does a more than adequate job of cleaning the air in a room up to 300 Sq Ft and I would highly recommend i considering the wonderfully inexpensive price compared to other leading air purifiers. My allergies have improved greatly and my wife and I catch much less colds.

This mid 15th century courtesan "neck attire" is making a comeback in certain parts of Europe, namely underground gay discos. If you don't wish to wear such excessive garments then this also can be used as a wasp colony starter kit. Simply add olive oil and watch the colony begin to grow in about a year. Can also be used as a hat in certain pompous balls, or as a flea cemetery, or as an elephant snout warmer.

The wick was easy to remove and replace with the new one. It works like new now.

Using Amazon.com's Free Shipping w/ a purchase of $25 or more came in handy when ordering this product. I had to order 4 (at the cost of $7.99 ea) and it was well worth it.

Living in NY the filters need to be changed on a constant basis, and with an unbeatable price (other stores charged almost $30 for one!) you can't go wrong!

The filter is wrapped with a convenient plastic handle which allows you to change the filter without getting wet or dirty. Very easy to insert and remove into my humidifier.

I highly recommend using this product. My only complaint is that the box it arrives in is somewhat flimsy, but a little bit of scotch tape and you are set. Doesn't even register as a setback in my book!

My husband is a big, big, big coffee drinker. I know very little about coffee, I will drink a cup maybe once every three months. Im just not a huge coffee drinker..

My husband never tells me to write a review about things but he wanted me to tell the people reading this that the BUNN is the best ever... and he would also rate this maker much more than a 5 Star rating!

I bought this for him for fathers day. He use to have a MR. Coffee maker. It only last at the most 2 1/2 years. I was hesitant about buying this maker b/c I read one review about the heating thingy and that you have to turn it off, it don't turn off automatically... And the coffee maker we had turned off on it's own and even had a timer that you could set to let it start brewing for you before he got up in the morning. But he needed a new one, it was about to quit on him. So I stuck it out, Prayed that we wouldn't have a fuss over it, and got it any ways. My dad told me that his BUNN is the best ever and has lasted for 10 yrs and is still going strong!

So I gave it to him for Father's Day and he was soooo Excited. The first thing he did was get it out of the box and started brewing some coffee... When he drank his first cup. He had a shocked look on his face and I was like what's wrong. (In my mind I was thinking Oh My it He don't like it) But he said that he never knew that coffee could taste soo good.. He said the flavor was so much better and my hubby likes his coffee black, just strictly black... So I am writing to you who are reading this now! I don't know, but my husband sure does and He loves his and he never writes reviews! That should tell you something!

THIS IS A NICE LOOKING UNIT ON THE COUNTER TOP. IT IS NOT OVER POWERING IN SIZE AND THE BLACK AND STAINLESS LOOK NICE. THE BREW IS FAST, LESS THAN 2 MINS. FOR 8 CUPS. THE COFFEE IS NOT HOT HOT!, BUT IS JUST RIGHT FOR DRINKING. I WOULD PREFER IT HOTTER, BUT THE OVERALL TASTE OF THE COFFEE IS GREAT. THE FAN TO REHEAT JUST ADDED WATER IS QUIET AND NON NOTICEABLE UNLESS YOU ARE RIGHT NEXT TO IT, AND EVEN THEN IS JUST A LIGHT HUMM SOUND. YOU HAVE TO USE ONLY BUNN FILTERS WITH THIS DUE TO THE WATER LEVEL OVER THE GROUNDS, I TOOK THEIR WORD FOR IT AND DID NOT TRY THE SMALLER (CHEAPER) FILTERS DUE TO OVERFLOW. I WOULD DEF. PURCHASE IT AGAIN.

After reading all reviews posted, I decided to try the Bunn. Exceeded my expectations! Soooo easy to use. I love that the decanter doesn't spill out when pouring water into coffee maker. A huge plus! I also love how fast I can get that first cup of coffee in the morning and it tastes great! I've had this Bunn for about a month now and it is by far the best coffee maker I've ever owned.

I read all the reviews and there was one bad one - I thought since the majority thought it was a great item, I couldn't go wrong. Nope - really doesn't work that great - doesn't do anything an abrasive scrubber couldn't do.

after a few times of using this, i think you'll be pleased w/ the purchase. price might seem higher than other sort of similar products, but i've tried others and the motors on them were pretty weak and the accessories were slim pickins compared to this. this will get you over the hump to want to clean the dreaded bathroom -- you won't loathe it as much once you try this, and actually it's makes it kind of fun 'cause you see just how easy it is to clean w/ it. the only slight i have on the scrubber is i think that the ergonomics of it could be improved; the handle should be at an angle instead of perpendicular. reason being, people usually don't end up scrubbing perpendicular to their surface.

despite this small consideration, recommended product. i'll use this one 'til i drive it into the ground. i don't see that happening any time soon, but i'll hope that the handle ergonomics get improved in the meantime.

Rice cooker is all that everyone says about it.GREAT!!!
With the one exception. The military 24 hour clock that can't be changed.I don't want my rice at 1700 hours.And oh yes the battery that runs the clock can only be changed by Zojirushi.

I've had this for about a week now, and used it a couple times a day (to explore the features). It makes pretty good rice, but you have to realize that at this price point, you are paying for more than that.

Here are things with which you can justify spending $135 on a rice cooker:
1) Cooks brown rice well.
2) Steams food
3) Useful for things other than rice. This includes breakfast, oatmeal, and goes as far as stir-frying in the pot.

I realized how big #2 was when I got the "Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook" everyone was talking about. A low-tech rice cooker can be used to steam vegetables and meat by eye, watching through a glass plate, or at least controlling with a timer. This one cannot (although I haven't tried doing this on "keep warm"--perhaps it would work.)

I did a lot of research, and when I found a bargain price for the ZCC, I jumped at it over the Sanyo ECJ model, which I was holding about equal. Now I wish I had gotten that one--it has a manual mode which this lacks and a steaming tray for convenience. Really, most rice cookers >$100 will make the same rice (brown rice excluded? I don't know enough yet). But it is the extra things you can do with it that should justify your purchase.

After trying to zest using a hand grater, and having to do twice as many limes as my Key Lime Pie recipe called for and zesting my fingers as well, I swore next time I made one I would somehow find and buy pre-packaged lime zest, if it existed. But then I remembered that my cousin had given me a zester as a gift years ago back before I cooked much. At the time she told me that this zester was all the rage in cooking, so I kept it in my utensil drawer all these years. Was I ever glad when I found out that it was a Microplane Zester. I tried the pie again, and I had an almost effortless piles of zest in a few minutes. My boyfriend was impressed how easy it was compared to last time, and tried it and even finished all of the limes since it was so easy. Sorry, Band-Aids, I don't need you when I'm making zest anymore now that I have the Microplane Zester.

I purchased this vac a few weeks ago. I specifically needed something small, lightweight and capable of fitting into the tight spaces of the couch cushions and for cleanup around my office. This vacuum met my expectations and was very affordable too! I'm in Florida and I go to the beach often. Being that I just purchased a brand new car, I hated having to deal with the sand that would wind up all over my carpet and seats. I was really impressed with how my Shark handled sand grains. I could very well have purchased a different type of vac for my car but I like this one so much that I use it for my regular car cleanings, too. It maneuvers well under my car seats but my one complaint would be that the barrel could be a bit narrower. Granted this is a household vac afterall but it works well for my other jobs, too.

It is a very handy cleaner. sucks up all the dirt particles on the carpeted floor. Empty the cup, clean filter, dry it(filter) and charge it.
Make sure you empty the charge completely before recharging it. If at a point (towards the end of the charge) it won't suck anymore, I keep running the vaccum almost till the end say like 2-3 mins till the buzz sound lowers and lowers and then only I recharge it. This keeps it going for a long time.
Very good handy vacuum for stairs and cars.
