Home and Kitchen Review Bunn BCG-W Coffee grinder
This unit seems to be well built, but is over priced. The quality of the ground beans tends to be inconsistent, some fine and coarse chunks in the finished product. Takes too long to grind, as beans pop around in the hopper like popcorn, taking a full turn of the timer to grind close to 4 cups worth. My Bodum conical grinder works better, at half the price.

Home and Kitchen Review worth the money
Like all purchases, I hesistated on this grinder. Now that I've had it for a couple of months, I'm glad I got it. I moved up from a Capresso unit that was flimsy, loud, and left a big mess. This one is none of those things. When I pull the drawer out with my grinds, it does so neatly and smoothly, breaking a small seal betweem the grind compartment and the unit. I dump the grinds into my filter, put the drawer back, and there are little to no grinds anywhere but in the coffee maker. It takes up less space than the Capresso or many others that I've seen. Sure, the grind settings are inside, but I haven't changed it ever since I found the first one I need. The one flaw? The cup numbers on the gauge are off- I use the 12 cup setting for 6 cups. I'm used to it by now, but how did they come up with these numbers?
This is a winner and worth the extra money. It doesn't feel cheap and I still love my morning coffee ritual.

Home and Kitchen Review You get what you pay for.
It is worth the money. It grinds the beans into consistently-sized particles, unlike my old grinder. It is easy-to-use. Mine is over two years old and has been trouble-free. As far as some others' comments about the noise, it is a coffee grinder, so it is not going to as be quiet as a toaster. My old grinder was also noisy, except that it made a very annoying high-pitched noise. Static electric charge is almost non-existent. Its rectangular shape requires miminal counter space.

And finally, it is nice-looking - a rare thing these days when almost all small appliances are ugly and look like medical devices!

Froth Au Lait Hot Milk Frother
Made by Tabletools
    Amazon base price: $

Home and Kitchen Review Curdles the milk
I bought this frother two years ago and have used it only three times because it has three major problems. 1. It heats the milk to too high a temperature, causing the milk to curdle. Although the Froth is thick it tastes awfull. 2. The milk burns on the bottom of the frother making it one of the hardest appliances to clean that I have ever purchased. 3. The Frother dos not allow you to stop the cycle once it starts so you can't stop it early to prevent the milk from curdling due to over heating.

I have tried to use this Frother to make Hollandaise sauce with equally poor results. when you pour the butter in the top to finish the sauce it splatters all over the place.

Given my experience with this appliance I am very skeptical of all the positive reviews this appliance has been given and believe thay must be biased and are probably written by people associated with the company.

The reason I gave this appliance two stars instead of one is because I believe it was a good concept which was poorly executed.

Home and Kitchen Review great foam, but....
First, let me say that I think the foam is wonderful. After using this frother at least once a day (or more) for over a year, I am at Amazon to order a new one, because I think I wore mine out. I love it so much, some of my friends got these as Christmas presents from me last year.

HOWEVER, this time, I spent the extra $10 for the more delux model.
My complaint about this model is that it is extremely difficult to clean. I end up washing it after every use, and again before the next use and still can't reach the small area between the plastic body and the metal bottom of the unit. I would love to run a toothpick around the seal in order to get to the line of solid milk that collects around that space, but there really is no easy access. This seems to be the only design flaw. No matter how carefully I clean, it often smells like sour milk between uses. If you buy this product, buying a bottle brush for cleaning would be helpful.

Home and Kitchen Review Froth Au Lait is Awesome
We were first introduced to the Froth Au Lait at our friend's and loved it. We purchased ours immediately after. We've tried other froth makers, but this one is far superior to any other.

Makes delicious cappucinos, cafe au laits, and flavored coffees. It's extremely easy to use and clean. Not a fussy machine.

A bit pricey, but well worth the cost. We plan to purchase more as Christmas gifts.
