I use this to bash peppercorns. The taste of freshly pounded pepper is stronger than that of milled, and they are nice on steak au poivre or chicken breast au poivre. It also works well for dried herbs if you want them powdered in dishes like hamburger or lamb patties, where the leaves can be a bit annoying. It looks nice on the counter.

This is a wonderful piece. It fits nicely in a small corner. We've placed ours in a small mudroom, and it's perfect. The piece is sturdy and solid, no wobbling, no loose hooks, and it looks very sharp! I would give it a full five stars, but I've only been using it for 1 week, so I can't yet say how it will hold up after long-term use, and I do have one major issue;
The product arrived without assembly instructions! Fortunately, if you're assembly-gifted (and really you don't need to be that gifted), you can assemble the stand without difficulty, however, you will need your own Phillip's head (not mentioned anywhere, but that's something that everyone should have) and a bit of know-how.
This may help:
When assembling the pole, of course the piece with the holes will go on the top, for the hooks.
The piece with the threaded hole goes on the bottom, and I believe that both washers connect underneath with the screw to hold the pole in place. That's what I did with mine, and it's very sturdy.
When you place the feet on the umbrella stand assembly, be certain not to tighten the allen-wrench screws, or you will not be able to place the Phillip's head screws at the bottom of the feet, to lock the feet in place.
When you add the hooks to the top assemblage, do not tighten the allen-screws beyond tight, or you will strip the threading, and your hook will be loose.
One other thing that would be helpful is a rubber mallet for knocking in the finial at the top, and the small, round covers on the hooks and the feet.

In reality, these are the sorts of things that Vision Decor should tell you themselves, but since they don't, I hope this helps someone.

We like the coat rack a lot it is very sturdy and practical with lots of hooks and the black iron with the leaves around the umbrella stand match our decor perfectly. The only fault with this product is you are on your own when it comes to assembly but it is not too hard once you lay all the parts out on the floor, The Vinman

not only does it hold garbage it is a piece of garbage. it might be ok if you didn't use it , But when you do it will break down. The plastic hinge that opens the lid is a flaw in this product . It should come with spare parts! Dont lose your sales slip you will need it when you return it !!!

This trash can must have been designed by someone who has never used one. The ring that holds the bag in place did a poor job and would constantly fall inside and on top of the trash. It was mistakenly thrown out because of this. The inside rim grabs and tears the bag as it is being removed. The foot lever would also unhook from the lid mechanism. Total garbage!

I hate that this product (the small trashcan) comes with a sticker that leaves sticky residue on it. I like everything else about it, though. I don't have to use a bag because it's easy just to wash out the liner in the trashcan, and I love how it has a top so bathroom unmentionables are unnoticed.--Jacob's wife

I bought this because it had such good reviews... I got one and used it a few times perfectly without problems. until it blew up in the microwave. yep, BLEW up. Now Im sure i did everything as i was meant to.. so i really am being objective about this review..

what can i say? this was my experience, ive decided to buy a more reliable egg cooker which does not involve the microwave...

I can't boil eggs that come out perfectly, too many variables. But with the Nordic Egg Boiler, I am a happy camper. You have to experiment with the first two attempts to get the times right (your microwave power and time to cook the eggs per the instructions). But once you've got it down, you get "soft boiled eggs, medium boiled eggs, and hard boiled eggs (may I add, they are easy to peel, very easy!)". On my microwave, I set the time on high to 12.30 minutes. Thats it. I walk away. The microwave beeps at me. So what, let them sit there. When I'm ready I take them out of the microwave (use pot holders - it's still hot), and run them in the tray over cold water. Perfect eggs, whether soft boiled, medium, or hard boiled. I did not want a machine that had it's own heating elements, those machines in time, will break down from the moisture created, and this will result in increased cooking times or complete failure of the unit. The Nordic Egg Boiler works, it is easy to use, and it is simple to use. Nuff said....

I've used many egg cookers and this is the best! It works so easy - fill with water, add eggs, and microwave for 8 minutes. The eggs come out perfect every time. Its very compact and easy to store.

The only european characteristic of this cup is it's price. The picture is deceiving - this thing is tiny. I could only put three of my fingers through it's ear. I am definitely returning it to Amazon - in my mind, it's worth 5 bucks and is more of a for a kid than an adult.

This is a very good coffee mug albeit pricey.

The handle is just right and it does keep hot drinks warmer and cold drinks cooler.

At last, a designer's stainless steel coffee mug that is not a travel mug.
