Such a happy pattern
This beautiful pattern and quality of tableware make this a good product!I bought two sets of the Pfaltzgraff Flower Garden Dinnerware Set so that I could have service for 8.
Now, I wish I had bought one more set.
When I purchased the sets last month they were selling for $24.99 Service for 4.
They then went up to $49.99 and now at this date it is $59.99.
So, I am hoping that it goes back down and I will buy another set.
I also checked other stores for this.
The price is the best here at Amazon. Wal Mart had it for $59.99 and when I asked the manager for Kitchen & Household Department I was told that they don't go on sale.
I have already gotten compliments on the style.
They are microwaveable & dishwasher safe.
They are heavy not lightweight.
They don't break that easily. Proof was when my boyfriend dropped one of the plates on the floor.
They have other items with the same style that you can purchase that really make the dinner table look like something out of a magazine for a fraction of the cost.
They have two different types of bowls.
You can purchase the additional bowls, luncheon plates, etc from Amazon.
Yes, they are cheapest here as I have looked around.
You also want to see what special Amazon has going on.
I was moving to a different state where my boyfriend had already established a house for us.
Amazon has a special going on most of the time. If you buy $125+ from the Kitchen & Houseware (certain items are excluded) you WILL get off $25. You just need the code and you enter that when it is time to check out.
The quality of this tableware set is good.
For me the price was excellent since this is a starter set.

I've gotten so many complimentsI bought this set one year ago as my first set of dinnerware. The plates have a great amount of weight to them are are made quite well. All of the pieces have held up nicely. I get so many compliments on the pattern, and all of the accessory pieces that you can get in addition to the plates are great too. I would recommend this set for anyone that is looking for quality dinnerware that will last you a long time.

Quality looked good, but finish was not attractive at all.I have to admit that I agree with one of the earlier posters, the finish is nto attractive at all. It looks as if it was painted with splatter paint. I've returned the item and decided it's worth it to pay a bit more money for a higher quality product.
Fuctional but unattractive finishDo not let the term "hammered steel" deceive you. The rack has a very unattractive industrial black/chrome finish over a smooth steel surface. This is not the same finish that is seen on more expensive racks. On the plus side the unit seems sturdy and functional.
Important info on mountingAs you can see by the other reviews, this is a great pot rack. However I have some very useful information if you want to purchase it. The rack was well designed and the mounts were spaced properly so that you screw the pot rack directly into the studs.
There is a major flaw...the screws that they provide are only 1 1/4 inches long. My kitchen has 3/4 inches of plaster before you hit a stud and the rack is about an 1/8 of an inch wide. That means the screws only bite into the stud a total of 3/8 of an inch. The result...during installation the pot rack ripped itself out of the wall. So I found a better way to mount it.
My solution cost an extra $1.77. I went to Home Depot and I bought five 1/4 by 2 inch lag screws and five 1/4 inch washers. I had previously measured and marked the three mounts on the main unit prior to installation. I then predrilled the holes with a 3/16 inch drill bit. Predrilling is very important, you don't want to split the stud when putting the lag screws in. And of course check your measurements so you don't miss the studs or put in any extra holes in your wall.
Next put the washers on the lag screws and use a ratchet to screw them in place. Once the main portion of the rack was in place I installed the 2 supports, predrilled each hole, and installed the remaining lag screws.
This pot rack is easily 10 times stronger than it would have been with the original hardware. I would hang cast iron cookware off of it without hesitation. It looks great in the kitchen and is ultra stable. I highly recommend the pot rack so long as you replace the original mounting hardware.

Mediocre EngineeringThe Price is decent. Capacity is idea. Appearance is dandy. The problem is that the top will fall off unless held in place with one's thumb. For men, it's easy. For women and children with smaller, less strong hands, it's tough. Anyone with a grasp of human factors would have designed the lid with tight fit or some type of stay or clip. The fix is a bit of wax rubbed on the edge of the lid. It seems to hold it decently for the wife, but remember to get it again.
Also, oddly enough, the filter that came with the pitcher did not fit snugly. This means that it would pop up if the pitcher was overfilled or poured too aggressively. That will obviate the whole point of the filtering water (by letting unfiltered water into the pitcher). This was fixed by buying a new filter.
All in all, for that type of money, I'd have expected a bit of attention to detail, but it was sorely lacking. As yet, I don't know if there's a better alternative in this size, so this one is still a good buy, but go in with your eyes open, and cross your fingers that this review and other complaints brings about some fine tuning at the factory.

used!the one I got in the mail was used! but, amazon did overnight me a new one. just check inside the filter first to see that yours wasn't used.
Water Tastes Much BetterThis pitcher works as it is supposed too. It is quite large so I am not constantly refilling it. The only difficulty I have is that it leaks from the spout just a bit when I am pouring, so I am just very careful when I pour.
I also like the very reasonable size of the actual food area on the plate (that probably has a fancy name -- but the part of the plate where you put the food, not the lip). It's not a huge serving platter like a lot of modern plates that you feel like you have to pile high to cover blank space. The salad plates and bowls are also reasonable. The mugs are plenty big for real coffee drinkers.
It is getting harder to find the pieces, though. I'm not sure if it's a discontinued pattern, maybe. Also, a lot of the extra pieces shown on Amazon -- spoon rests, tidbit trays, some bowls -- aren't the stoneware, but are melamine. Just be aware. The spoon rest I have is a good quality melamine and is fine.
