This baster does not work. The bulb keeps coming off, the collar keeps coming off. It does not hold liquid, it runs right out. It is a complete waste of money.

Oxo usually designs their products so thoughtfully, I was willing to pay a little extra for this baster. For $10, I expected this to be a high-quality product, but it was a total disappointment. First, the hole at the tip is so large, the liquid runs out without even sqeezing the bulb. Then the plastic peice that cradles the bulb kept falling down into the pan juices. I'm not even sure what function it serves. It's mediocre at best, and everyone would be wise to buy something else.

The geniuses at OXO have designed the perfect baster. No more struggling to put the bulb back on after cleaning! Terrific suction. If you're frustrated with your cheap, grocery store baster I wouldn't waste another second before ordering this one.

Received this as a gift. It is real classy looking but very small. So ok, you have just a few friends over for drinks- evem then I question functionality??- The cover is very difficult to replace securely and it is not insulated, so how well will it work???

this item is very small, yet cute for the price!! i read previous reviews before purchase, but i under estimated the word small! i still love it!

I received two of these (only registered for one) off my registery. I love them!! Actually, I fell across the ice bucket buying it for a friend and needed to have it myself. Yes, the ice buckets are small and they aren't insulated, but we used it over the 4th of July holiday and it did it's job! With the shaker, it's a cute set for any bar!

I have not found any problems which others have noted. One inch chunks of meat and larger have worked well. I have made sausage using beef, pork, chicken and turkey. What I have found is that when using the ginder for stuffing casings I need to remove the cutting plate, particularly with poultry, as the fat and skin tend to plug the holes in the plate. Once I did this the stuffing session went very quickly. All meat should be chilled thoroughly before grinding to help prevent the fats from plugging the plate holes. It would be nice if the instructions with the machine were more explicit. That is the only issue making it a four rather than a five star purchase for me. If this machine were stolen, I would buy another immediately.

I noticed some negative customer reviews for this item; its due to lack of food experience. This machine works very well, however, you do have to compensate for the fact that it's a home machine and it has a small feeding tube. You cannot put your average sized 1 inch/1 inch cube into the feeding tube. Yes, it will fit, but no it wont do a good job. Think about it, the big industrial machines take cubes that size. You also cannot run the machine without a steady flow of meat or have it running on empty. One of the reviews said that the machine burned out on the first try. Probably an overexageration but these machines will burn out if you run it on empty of do not keep a steady flow going through the feeding tube.
I have been using a hand grinder for several months and although it made my arms look good, the job was really really tough and a lot of waste...due to the huge auger. This machine was a blessing; just be reasonable, and calm about using it, and the job will come out perfectly. Happy grinding and cheers to any and all who are out there honing and preseving the craft.

This grinder performs very well for the prices it's been selling for. When I saw this one, it was clear I had been looking at other units that were to high in price for a home unit and for my needs. I'm getting the same grind quality seen from a professional unit at the market. Granted it is not fast, but it's fine for me. You almost never see a grinder at any price with 3 coarsness disks. Unfortunately the disks are not stainless steel, but units costing $499.00 often don't have stainless either. Also, this grinder has a reverse feature which you rarely see at any price.

Other posters put down this unit, but if you use it as intended, it will make you happy.

The very first set of muffins I made in this pan stuck horribly. I ended up with half of each muffin stuck in the pan. For cookware that claims to have a non-stick surface this was less than impressive. I received this pan as a Christmas gift (and it took over six weeks to finally arrive) and I am highly disappointed

While I agree that the pan isn't very non-stick, after some testing, I pressed the regular round paper liners into the heart shape. I didn't overfill the muffin cups, and they were TOTALLY cute! They were a big hit at both the preschool and the office. They're a little smaller, so a regular 24 cupcake recipe makes more like 32 extremely cute cupcakes. I have 2 pans, am thinking of getting 2 more to speed the baking.

This pan is wonderfull. Highly recommend to anyone looking to make the cutest little heart whatevers. Shipping was really slow and inconsistant. But, got here in time for me to use for Valentines Day.

I have ordered this 10 inch skillet three times, and have been sent the wrong product each time after I returned the item received (I have received three 8 inch skillets). I have emailed Amazon twice about the mixup, and felt safe ordering it the last (third) time since months had passed. But no change had been made. Perhaps the item is listed under the wrong product number?

I love the lodge skillets and plan to find a 10 inch skillet somewhere.

I was buying unseasoned cast iron decades before the pre-seasoned was available and back then they were telling us to use fatback or bacon grease to season it. These days, I just use vegetable shortening and it seasons well if you do it right. Just don't be in a hurry, wipe your cookware clean under hot water and never use soap. I still have a frying pan that my grandmother gave to my mother who then passed it on to me. My kids will have to fight for it as I'm not passing it on as long as I can use it.

Season your new cast iron with vegetable shortening and an inverted trip in the oven for 45 minutes, do that a few times and the cookware will begin to pick up a black finish. It will take a little time. Keep your cookware clean with hot water and a scrubbrush, NEVER soap.

The way Lodge cast iron soaks up heat and retains it makes cooking a breeze. You can really put a great finish on foods with cast iron, you simply cannot get the same results with stainless steel, or, God forbid, Teflon.

Yes, the handle gets hot. Use a potholder! And make sure to use wooden utensils so that you don't scratch the finish.

Lodge cast iron is the heart of the kitchen. Try it and you will never go back. An invaluable kitchen tool. Made to last literally a lifetime and then some. I have some cast iron cookware that dates back almost a hundred years and it's better than ever.
