After much search for reasonably priced, sturdy, quality-made cookware, I found it in Silverstone! I've had my cookware set for about 4 months and I love it. It cleans well, it's very scratch resistant (and I know because my husband sometimes forgets to use the plastic or wooden spoons when stirring stuff in my pots and I have to say I haven't seen any scratches from his abnesia of using the proper utensils.) They are well worth the price and are comparable to other more expensive cookware. You don't have to use high heat with these because the pots conduct heat evenly throughout. It's a good buy.

I had a Sharp 700w which heated water in 1.52 minutes. At work, the GE Sensor 1100 watt heats water in 1 minute. So, I bought the Sharp R-308JW and it heats water in 2 minutes [TOO SLOW]! I kindly wrote the company which told me not to use the WARMING option. I kindly wrote back and told them I was always using full power. They never replied again. I used to soften a half gallon ice cream in 11 seconds on the old 700w oven, but this new one takes 20 seconds ON FULL POWER. Sharp is DULL indeed.

It appears to be heating up the food as well as my old Panasonic 750 Watts for some food items which is weird. It does heat up my cup of coffee in 1 minute instead of 1.5 minutes. I am generally happy with the unit and for the price (cheaper than my Panasonic), it's a great buy.

It works well, but would like to have seen finer serrations for a smoother cut.

I bought this knife a couple of weeks ago mainly for slicing up tomatoes, and other veggies. My wife asked where I got such a sharp knife and could we see if they have something in a steak knife size. My point is we are very pleased with this knife.

I love this griddle. I set it on my stovetop over 2 burners and have very even heat distribution. The grooved side is great for steaks, burgers, and chicken, and the flat side makes perfect pancakes, eggs, etc.

Cast iron is a great surface to cook on. For many people they are hesitant to use cast iron because they believe food sticks too much. If the griddle is seasoned properly, and not scrubbed clean with a scouring pad and soap, food rarely sticks. To season the pan simply lightly oil the pan surfaces and bake for half an hour. When I make pancakes I do a quick re-seasoning by making sure the griddle is hot before I put any oil or food on it. Then, prior to making my first pancake, I spread a light coat of batter on the cooking surface and let it brown up good. I then scrape it off with my thinnest steel spatula. Now I'm ready to cook perfect pancakes that turn easily, without sticking. If you still have a sticking problem, try making smaller cakes--they're easier to handle.

Anyway, I highly recommend this product. I also use mine on camping trips and do not hesitate to throw it on top of hot coals. The thing is indestructible, and the more you use it, the better it gets.
