All-Clad Review Terrific Pan. We use it almost every day!!!
This All-Clad 12 inch fry pan is a staple in our kitchen. We use it almost daily. It heats evenly, food browns beautifully, and it cleans up great. We've found ourselves buying more and more All Clad pans despite their expensive price. They are worth it. We now eat better meals and they are actually easier to cook in these pans. A pan that heats and cooks evenly takes away the frustrations of cooking. When we aren't using this pan we are usually using it's cousin the non stick version (we like that for things like chicken parmesan that use cheese). We use this pan for things like pork chops or t-bone steak that we sear on the stove and then transfer to the oven to finish cooking. We love that this pan goes from stove to oven seamlessly. We also use this pan when we're browning meats and then making sauces from all those yummy brown bits for dishes like chicken marsala and beef burgundy. It also works perfectly for sauteeing shrimp or vegetables (we use it to saute sliced squashes and bell peppers often). We highly recommend this pan.

All-Clad Review Excellent pan, excellent line.
I have owned this pan for several years now, along with many other All-Clad pans. I love them. Pricy yes, but once you buy them you never have to replace them, which makes them comparatively cheap! (in price only, not in quality)

While this pan won't work just like a nonstick pan, it does cook evenly and foods (even eggs and pancakes) won't stick if you follow the basic rule.

First, heat the pan. After the pan has come up to temperature you can add the oil. Only add the food after the oil has heated.

Before I gave in and bought the expensive All-Clad pans, I was going through a set of pans every few years or so. I know for sure that I have bought the last set of cookware I will ever need. That is a wonderfull feeling!

If you are hesitant to spend the price for All-Clad stainless, think back over the last 10 or 15 years. Add up what you have paid for all the pans you had to keep replacing!

All-Clad Review better to season yourself
the finish on this pan is very rough, like sandpaper . i do not like it for that reason . the plus is it's sq size . this is a size that is better for 2 people many pans are for larger size families . i would not reccomend this witout feeling it in perso in a store .

All-Clad Review Grills great!
This grill pan made my turkey burgers taste as though I had grilled them outdoors.

All-Clad Review Excellent pan for grilling
I went through about three non-stick, very expensive pans from the major players, and every time the story was the same. I would really like the pan until I used it about six or seven times, then the non-stick coating would wear off and they would stick like mad. This is because proper grilling can only be done under high heat, in a preheated pan. Doing this to a non-stick pan heats it up well past its tolerances, and destroys the coating.

So finally I tried a cast iron grill pan from Lodge. It was excellent, and took to high heat well. It is pretty hard to clean, the food sticks a bit, and the grill marks are not as crisp as I would like. Still, it was much better than anything aluminum.

When I saw this one, I decided to try it since I like my other Emeril pans. It is even better than my other one. Interesting, as I strongly suspect these Emeril pans are also made by Lodge. The little tweaks he made to the pan are well thought out. The ridges are tapered such that they almost come to a point. The result is clear sear lines with no sticking. It is also heavier than my other pan, so it holds heat better, and has much higher sides to help contain spatters.

There is one thing to be aware of, however. This pan is smaller than its Lodge counterpart, so it is well suited to grilling for two or three (even if the things you are making are large). If you are doing more than that, it'll get a little tight in there. I keep my Lodge pan around for the times I need more cooking space, but I can see this one is going to get a lot more use as normally I do two things at a time anyway.

The first time you use it, spray it lightly with cooking spray oil inside and out, then put it on a high heat burner until it smokes. Turn the burner off and let it cool off on the burner slowly by itself. This will help season it a bit (even though it is preseasoned) and make sure that you won't get any sticking the first time you use it.

If you are even thinking of experimenting with grilling, get this pan and give it a try.

All-Clad Review Not Induction Compatible
I bought this item because it was rated as Induction compatible. It is not. At least I was able to return it.

All-Clad Review Not for for the meek of range (or weak of arm)
I should go to the gym more and I am reminded of this every time I use this pot. It is an excellent pot, but when filled, it is heavy. It also puts your range to the test. That's a lot of water to heat. As long as you plan in advance, it's not a problem.

I bought this pot because it was such a value over the smaller pasta pentola. Suprisingly, my best use for it is during the holidays when I brine turkey.

All-Clad Review Great for pasta!
This multi-cooker is very nice. It is a heavy weighted pot and has a low center of gravity so it won't move if accidentally bumped. It will hold an amazing amount of pasta or soup. The only drawback is that it takes a long time to get the water boiling because of the large amount of water necessary to do the job. I still highly recommend it for many purposes like pasta, soups, steaming of vegetables, and seafood.

All-Clad Review All-Clad Stainless 8-Inch Fry Pan
My wife has said she always wanted some high quality cookware. I bought her this one piece of All Clad for her birthday as start. She loves it. I like to use it too. It is a fry pan that does not have teflon coating, but follow the directions furnished and you will have not rouble keeping it clean. It cooks very fast and even on a very low heat setting.

All-Clad Review The Breakfast and Lunch Pan
I usually cook for one and this pan is just the right size for a couple slices of bacon, sausage or a burger. I also use it when infusing oil.

All Clad provides superior heat technology for quick and even heating. The stay-cool handle is a plus. It's a nice and heavy pan. Cleans up quickly in the dishwasher. A little Bar Keeper's Friend keeps it looking like new.

I am a firm believer in All Clad quality. I'm in my 30s and this is the last set of pots and pans I'll buy. I was sold on All Clad after my first use.

All-Clad Review A Smaller, Useful Pan
After getting the 10-inch version of this pan, I found a great deal on the 8-inch pan and picked it up for smaller jobs in the kitchen. This was a great decision.

8 inches *is* small for a lot of cooking and this shouldn't be your primary fry pan but it is great for doing smaller jobs on the side or for cooking up things for one or two people. I use this guy for eggs, meat and more. The pan heats really evenly and feels great in my hand. The handle does a great job of dispersing heat and staying cool, too. And, though it doesn't come with a lid, the medium lid from the All Clad pots fit it well.

When things do stick, I don't worry about attacking it and scratching off the surface. I can use a scraper, sponge, or scouring pad without any problems. Metal can be used but it is more likely to scratch. And it is safe in the dishwasher although I recommend handwashing as much as possible.

Some cooking tips I learned with this type of pan: Use a lower heat, not because you have to (like with non-stick), but because it heats so evenly, you often don't need that higher temperature. Also when you throw something in, whether you are using butter, oil, a spray, or nothing, let it sit and cook a bit before you try to move it around. Hamburger, for example, will adhere to the pan at first and if you try stirring it up right away, small pieces will be stuck and are more likely to burn. Rather, wait until it has a minute or two to cook on that side. The parts that adhere will cook, separate and lift away from the pan so you can stir it easier. And when you are done, if there is any food stuck to the pan, put some water in it and let it boil for a few minutes. This will help lift it off and make cleaning easier.

Again, a great pan, a great brand, and definitely worth the money since it will last you a lifetime with the warranty they give you.

All-Clad Review A Must Have Pan
This is one of the best investments I have made for the kitchen. With this pan, you can make seared scallops so tender and succelent, it will make you feel like a professional chef. I also grill vegetables of all kinds on this pan with a little bit of olive oil for a delicious and low-fat side or main dish. You will not be disappointed!

All-Clad Review You get what you pay for
I was reluctant to part with the money for All-Clad, but I wanted made in USA cookware, and I needed flat bottoms for a ceramic cook top. Started with the LTD set and soon found that the cookware heated faster at lower settings, with no hot spots (like the old copper bottom Revereware clones) and it cleans up with little effort. The handles are heavy duty and riveted on, not attached with flimsy little spot welds. Polished stainless lids fit perfectly and clean easily, and the sauce pan lid fits the fry pan - keeping any spatter inside, so unless you need both pans at the same time one lid works. The stainless interiors clean easily with Barkeeper's Friend just as the instructions recommend. I was so impressed with the quality and performance that I ordered two All-Clad non-stick fry pans. Nothing works for eggs and fish like non-stick, and just because it's non-stick doesn't mean I can't toss butter, olive oil, minced garlic and onion in with the coated halibut! All-Clad non-stick is nothing like the other stuff - believe me. This stuff cooks perfectly, at low heat (you gotta keep the heat low as the thermal transfer of this stuff is incredible), doesn't burn, discolor or scratch. It cleans up with a drop of dishsoap and a swish of a dish rag, rinse and its done. Folks it's worth the money, and will last a life time.

All-Clad Review Just smile and hand over the plastic.
It took my wife and I a long time to finally decide to purchase All-Clad stainless cookware. Thanks to Amazon for their frequent specials, we picked up 2 of the 1qt. stainless saucepans for a very low price on Amazon and those pans conviced us to buy nothing else after that. A couple of months ago one of our local department stores had their All-Clad open stock severely marked down so we started buying a few pieces each couple of weeks, by the time we were done we had expanded our collection to 20 pieces (not counting lids).

This cookware is just flat-out amazing. Others have already said this but I will say it again, food cooked in All-Clad actually tastes better. Whether it is the heat control, the quality of the stainless, or whatever. Saute a steak or cook up a pot of oatmeal, it taste amazing.

The only complaint we had was cleaning. After a couple of years the 2 original saucepans had gotten dull on the inside, the outside still had its original gleam. When our new pans started to look the same, we went looking for a solution. By the way, even though the stainless is dishwasher safe, we always hand-wash our cookware. Anyway, imagine our surprise when the $2.00 solution recommended by All-Clad, namely the Barkeeper's Friend cleaning powder, really really worked wonderfully to clean all our pans. Even the old originals cleaned up to look as good as the new.

Anyway, in summary, don't let the price scare you off. If you like to cook, consider it a well-deserved tool that you will use for the rest of your life. Buy the All-clad, clean it with Barkeepers Friend, and enjoy!

All-Clad Review The Joy of Cooking...with All-Clad
We received a set of Calphalon One for our wedding, and it functioned well for nonstick. As I got more into cooking, though, I wanted to try stainless, and I thought All-Clad would be the best. It is! There's nothing better than the sight and smell of onions sauteing in olive oil in an All-Clad pan.

I don't use any more oil than I did in the nonstick pans, but I get more delicious fond for pan sauces. With stainless pans, you can cook healthy meals without sacrificing flavor or texture.

Of the set, my favorite pieces are the 3-quart covered casserole and 3-quart saute pan. The casserole is perfect for making smaller batches of soup, and the saute pan is perfect for wilting spinach and cooking large batches of vegetables or meats.

I've never had a problem with cleanup -- we just put them in the dishwasher on the "pots and pans" cycle. They come out beautifully every time.

As other reviewers have mentioned, it's good to keep a nonstick skillet or omelette pan on hand for cooking eggs. I also prefer nonstick for pan-frying tofu.

This set of All-Clad has completely lived up to my expectations and has made cooking even more enjoyable.

All-Clad Review Best Pan I Own!
...and I own lots of them. Started getting more heavily into cooking a year or so ago, and have been adding sets and pieces as I go. He11, I never do anything half way! Anyhow, I have Calaphon non-stick pieces, an Anolon anodized aluminum non-stick set (great set), and Cuisinart Classic stainless...another great set. Also bought Emerilware through another on line retailer, which I won't mention...but it rhymes with CutleryandMore. Without going into too much detail, they suck, and the Emerilware is just as bad. Working with All-Clad now to get some MC2 pieces in exchange. Trust me here: All-Clad is one very classy outfit!

So back to the grill pan. First, I can't believe the price....$49! Folks, that's a steal. Whoever said this isn't really non-stick is daft...nothing sticks to it. Most importantly, it's easy to cook with, and the food comes out great. Of all the pieces I own...way too many, given my limited talents...this is easily the best. Just try one steak or chop on it, and you'll see exactly what I mean. Food comes out juicy, tender and seared on the outside just like it should be.

I must sound like a shill for the product, but I assure you I'm not. Just read some of my negative reviews. Anyway, if you're even just "thinking" about buying this pan, hurry up and get it. No idea how All-Clad can make and sell this so cheaply, but sooner or later the price HAS to increase. So buy it now. It's one terrific pan. And by the way: clean up is a snap!

All-Clad Review I love this!!
I never thought I would be writing a review of a grill pan (or any cooking item, for that matter), but I am so impressed with this that I just had to. Everything I have cooked on this (steak, chicken, fish) has been cooked perfectly and the pan is so easy to clean. My outdoor propane grill will still be used occasionally when the weather is perfect, but the ease and convenience of this grill pan will be hard to beat. And at this price, I've just found the perfect wedding present for my friends getting married this year.

All-Clad Review Best burgers ever
First thing we cooked in this pan were burgers, and we could not believe the difference in taste compared to pan fried. The raised ridges really carmelize the meat, and even when cooked well done the burgers are juicy. We have prepared chicken, pork chops and fish, and they are all at least as good as charcoal grilled. I would give this pan 10 stars if I could.
