I love Corelle. Always have. Clean, pretty, lightweight. People would be using it for formal dinnerware if, from the start, the manufacturer had just come up with some fancy patterns and set the price eight times higher.

And I really like the Just White set I bought recently. But...

The mugs, which are of a very pleasant and usable shape, are made of stoneware, not of Corelle glass. This would not be a problem, except that the color of the mugs simply doesn't match that of the other pieces. The picture shown on Amazon is accurate--in it you can see that the mugs have a strong grayish cast. I noticed this when I was ordering the set from Amazon, but I thought maybe it was just the picture's lighting. After all, other vertical surfaces in the picture look rather gray, too.

But no, folks. I regret to inform you that that gray is for real.

I eat and serve a lot of Indian food, and a meal usually includes many dishes. I have been able to find pieces from other manufacturers that match the Just White Corelle very nicely. I found little earless tea cups for yogurt, little soy sauce dishes for pickles, and wee ramekins for fresh chutney. It's wonderul how nicely they all match the Just White. Which leads me to ask: If other manufacturers can match the Just White color accidentally, why couldn't Corelle do it on purpose? When I set a table with dishes from three manufacturers, the only piece that sticks out like a sore thumb is the Corelle mug.

I'm not going to dump the set. The place setting still looks nice, and I'll undoubtedly be able, some day soon, to find some mugs that match the Corelle. But I'd be a lot happier if the Corelle mugs had matched.

Very very plain set, its a typical single guys first set. Set stores very nice in the cabinets as they take very little room.

We love these dishes! They have survived our 16 month old dropping them from the table daily. No scratches or chips. They are lightweight, but sturdy. They stack in half of the space that our old set did!

Cute! Cute! Cute! I love the mix and match look this set offers while still coordinating. The only complaint I would come close to having, is that the bowls are very shallow. They are great for salads, but not for soup or cereal. My solution was to buy the Corelle Snack Pack in white. The plates are very functional, light in weight, and take up less space than traditional stoneware. Everyone who has been to my home has complimented me on my new dinnerware.

These are not your typical cheap Corelle plates. These are extremely well done and look mix/match. They are a very nice weight and the size of the bowl and bread plates were ideal for me. I could have done without the mugs but they are nice to have around for brunches. The depth of the bowls might have been a little deeper but other than that the design and the colors are phenomenal. Every dinner guest that I have used these with have complimented me on them. It is also nice to know that they are chip and break resistant. They are definitely worth the money and are pefect for a contemporary place setting. The dinner plates are really excellent if you have roaming guests because the plates are not too heavy even if they are fully loaded with food. I highly recommend these plates.

This is the most gorgeous, fantastic, unbelieveable set I have ever owned. Yes, I am planning to buy more of the same set to expand my plates.

I just sit and look at it it is so awsome, easy to wash, durable, did I mention the gorgeous indigo blue color!!!

I don't know where to start. These dishes are great. The colors are lovely and blend with the latest fashion colors. The weight is of a good quality. I like the fact that the inside of the mugs are black "so no stains". I bought 2 sets so far the chili red and the yellow and plan to buy the sage green next. The cereal bowls are a good size also. I ordered my dinnerware 1 day and received the next day and didn't request special shipping methods. This service is wonderful and everything it claims to be unlike some sites I have ordered from. Keep up the good work!

Usually break free product but SMASHED in Amazon delivery and then had to wait 4 weeks for credit.

This is their best pattern yet! However, unlike the photo, the color is a purple-gray instead of a true gray. This does not detract from the color, it enhances it (unless you dislike purple). I stongly recommend this product.

Corelle makes a lot of sense when lots of people may have to use the tableware and also for everyday use for anyone with granite counters as the chip factor for fine china can be tough on the pocketbook. Rola provides a nice retro look. The pattern is only on the plates, the bowls look pretty plain and don't compliment as well as one might like. Overall, a good value for the money and a nice look.

This set is gorgeous. The colors are fantastic and match my deco/retro kitchen perfectly. I love the ceramic mugs and hope they hold up as well as my Corelle glass ones did....I still use the Golden Butterflies from the last century!

Why only 4 stars? Seems Corelle's quality control is not as stringent as it used to be. Each of the 3-sets I ordered, had a few imperfect pieces. Please do not hesitate to buy these wonderful dishes, however, inspect them carefully before throwing away the carton! Amazon is pretty good with returns. They pay for postage (if the return is due to defective merchandise) but make you send back the entire set for replacement/exchange. The set comes with a 3-year warrantee and the Corelle folks do stand behind their products! Hope this review was helpful and that you, too, will buy & enjoy this beautiful dinnerware.

I brought this product from Amazon. The product is really a good one to use, especially the light weight plates and bowl. Only thing is the mug is bit heavy, but still its good.

The description of this product needs to be corrected. It is by corningware and it is porcelain (why would anyone make dishes this heavy???)'. It is definitely not corelle triple-layered vitrelle glass as stated on Amazon's website. I wish I saw the previous review before ordering 2 sets. I bought it because of the nice picture and thought Corelle came up with a cool design. Don't be fooled.

I have a set and love them. I always get complements on them and have had friends who wanted the same set. They are difficult to find and have heard they are discontinued. The only complaint I have is they leave gray knife marks but this may be the case with all white dishes. As to the comment of being too heavy they are not any heavier than other dishes I have had.

These are not the "Corelle" my Grandmother used. The current incarnation are heavier and sturdier feeling, but seem to have the durability I remember from my Grandmother's everyday dishes. The shape of the plates is wonderful - they don't roll around in my dishwasher the way round ones do, and the shape keeps the all white dishes from being too plain. These are very classy dishes - nothing fancy about them, but the design and sturdiness of them make them a beautiful addition to the dinner table.

The corelle 6022105 country cottage 16-piece set with glasses is a great value for money. I purchased it on sale for under thirty dollars (including shipping) around the holidays and it was a great decision.

The set comes with 4 large plates, 4 smalled plates, 4 saucers and 4 glasses. The good thing with this set is that Corelle has substituted glasses for cups. Often times, you have a whole lot of cups at home already.

The big purpose that the glasses serve is that you can use this set as an informal/inexpensive LUNCH/DINNER SET instead of just a BREAKFAST set (which wouyld be the case if this came with cups instead of glasses). And if you need cups, you can buy any standard bone china white set of cups because these plates are white with a thin green/peri design on the border.

Very lightweight, so everyone (I predict that especially if you have kids) always grabs these during dinnertime. I love this set - it's amazing value for money!

Lightweight and break-/chip-resistant. Very good value for the price that Amazon offers. Nice pattern. We previously owned a stoneware set from another company, but are much happier with this set.

I am back to Corelle!! I had other dinner ware, but I am so glad to have Corelle again. I love the pattern. I get so many compliments on it! They are so durable. I know they can break if hit hard enough, but they are standing up to what my kids dish out and that is great! I loved ordering through Amazon. They arrived in such a timely manner and were packed very well. I also was so glad to be able to get the glasses with the set instead of the cups/mugs. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
