I was looking for an entry-level espresso maker that would not take up all of my time, money or kitchen counter. This machine rates highly on all accounts! The carafe is a great way to make 4 cups of espresso at once, the milk steamer is very easy to use and clean.

This machine makes good coffee (don't expect coffee as good as you get with the several-hundred dollar machines, though!) with very little overhead!

I was shopping around for lower priced machines and my boyfriend told me that Santa would get me one. This happened to be the machine I received for xmas of 2005 and so far it's still going strong. It is cheap black plastic but it's insanely easy to clean. We make cappuccinos every morning and so far the frothing has been just fine with no problems though at the beginning, we didn't really understand how to use it and there was a lot of splattered milk! The instructions aren't very clear on how to do this--you gotta make sure you insert the frother into the milk before you turn the knob to steam! This makes enough for 2 people to have one large 4 oz. espresso so if you have more people, you want to get a different machine. Cleaning the milk frother is easy, just wet a paper towel and vigorously go over the metal. I think this is the most important step to not having a clogged frother, which breaks on many cheaper machines. We've gone to our local independent coffee shop recently and discovered that our cappuccino tasted better. Plus, it's a lot cheaper, though I do like to get out of the house and support local business once in a while!! So far, I have no complaints except for the poorly written instruction manual so just read up on how to make espresso elsewheres!

I bought this toaster oven in August 2005. I read the reviews of this product AFTER I bought it. I was concerned about all the complaints of the toaster oven dying out around 1 year after purchase, but hoped mine would be different. Well mine's not. I am here to say that my toaster oven by Krups just completely quit working too (only 10 months later)! Krups should be ashamed of themselves, it's aparent there is a problem. Now I'm stuck with an expensive toaster oven that doesn't work and I can't find the reciept. I'm not going to bother contacting Krups after hearing all the hassles of sending it to get repaired and waiting 6 months, and then finally get it back for it to only work for 1 week. I will NEVER buy a Krups product again. The only way Krups can redeem themselves is if they do a recall. I'm sure they are not going to since they haven't already! What a shame. This product doesn't deserve even 1 star.

Within months of purchase, this product was in the shop. Luckily, I had my receipt but it was in the shop for 6 months while we waited for parts. It was home less than a week and a different part went out. I called the company and they reluctantly sent me a new one. The problems that have come up since then, while not effecting it's ability to heat have been a huge source of annoyance.

Turning the unit on:
You must set the timer in order to turn the unit on so it is not possible to just, for instance, bake an item for an indefinate amount of time. And, when a food is finished you either have to let the time run out or turn the knob as hard as you can to zero to turn it off. To make matters worse, the dial that turns the unit on has become extremely difficult to turn.

Knobs must be set with precision to avoid surprises
There are three knobs on this unit, two timers, discussed above and then one to determine toast, broil or bake etc. This knob is hypersensative and allows no margin of error. The arrow has to be pointing exactly down not an eighteenth of a mm to the side or it will broil instead of toast.

The tray has two positions neither of which is correct:
The tray can either be placed too close to the top so food is burned on top or too close to the bottom so that food is burned on the bottom. You pick which one is better or do what I do which is pull the tray (and food) half way through and alternate so one side or the other does not get too much heat. Either way, it is a big problem.

I could go on and on but bottom line is AVOID THIS PRODUCT!!!

I got this as a wedding gift and after a year and a half, the top heating element stopped working. Then after 3 months, the whole oven eventually stopped working. This oven looks all fancy and pretty but it stops there. Avoid buying this and anything to do with Krups.
