This coffee maker is great but I am on my third glass carafe. The first one I bumped it on the faucetand it broke. The second one I bumped it on the stove and it just shattered. It is very thin glass and you have to be very very careful too careful. I am going to go with another maker I am tired of replacing this one.

I broke my carafe one week after having it. It accidently got knocked against the sink while filling. I would not recommend this and found another type of coffee maker with the same features as Krups, (programmable, pause feature, and more) for only $15 at Target and the glass on that carafe is double the strength. Don' t waste your money on Krups, go with a stronger glass, especially if there are those who are not fragile on appliances.
It cost a lot to replace the carafe. And then when I called the company they said I could return the carafe and they would replace it, nope I just returned the whole coffee maker with the broken carafe where I bought it and purchased a new one from Target.

I bought this expensive, name brand rice cooker to replace the cheapy one I bought in college. What a mistake! The rice always browned on the bottom and the cooker quit heating less than six months after I bought it.

This is the second rice cooker I have owned. Both have been in the mid-price range. For what I use it for it works just fine. I tend to make rice and throw a bunch of other stuff in while the rice is cooking. It does not tend to boil over like the other rice cooker I have used. Sometimes it may overcook a little on the bottom but not as bad as the other rice cooker I have used.

The non-stick surface cleans easily. I have had the cooker about a year and the non-stick surface is still in good condition.

It's not the best rice cooker ever but it is far from the worst.

While this one might not be the rice cooker for you I strongly recommend buying a rice cooker. It is a quick convenient way to make healthy meals.

You measure rice, measure water (using the convenient lines on the non-stick pot, push the lever down and it automatically stops when the rice is done. It will also keep the rice warm after it cooks. Just that easy.

It makes sandwiches just fine. I'm not sure why everyone's complaining about cleaning it up - it's all teflon so all you have to do is a quick wipe to clean it up. It does ooze but get over it. I guess I buy small bread because it fits my bread slices just fine.. I think the idea is that if you use "normal" bigger slices it kind of crimps the edges that hang outside of the square area. Anyway, I will say that the "dummy lights" on the top are not very well thought out. Red light and green light. Which is which? They're both on most of the time. I just ignore them and it works fine.

Thumbs up on this sandwich maker. I've had this for years and I love the small size and convenience of making grilled cheese sandwiches in a pinch. Be sure to butter the outside pieces of bread that lay directly against the grill as to keep them from burning -- just a light spread will do. My kids love to even put apple pie filling inside pieces of bread for a quick treat! Mmmmmm! The clean up time is nothing too -- just take a piece of towel paper and wipe it clean! Great to give as a gift which is how I received mine!

Last winter I bought this Sandwich Express grill from a new bride who received three of them as wedding gifts. It cooks my Vienna toast perfectly. On Saturday mornings I like Vienna toast (two slices of dry bread dipped in an egg mixture like French toast, then filled with jam and grilled like a sandwich). It kind of tastes like a jelly donut only better. Even the sandwiches I make out of leftovers (like meatloaf on rye or sliced pork roast on pumpernickel) turn out great. I also make toasted cheese hotdog sandwiches in it (cut the hotdog into two pieces, one for each sandwich half). Veggie omelettes, grilled veggies, and even hash brown potatoes cook very nicely in this grill. It's also good for making cheese steak sandwiches, grinders, tuna melts, and reubens. I like this grill very much.
